"Thank you, bus driver!" Zhou Zhenya happily said as she got off the bus.
The bus driver was filled with happiness as he heard the warm greeting from someone who seems to be a child. Kids these days, you only find ones like these very rarely!
In fact, the bus driver was filled with happiness so much, that he forgot to ask Zhou Zhenya her bill for riding the bus...
The bus drove away.
Zhou Zhenya looked at her brother's school and was both astonished and slightly scared. A new environment always scares anyone, not to mention children like Zhou Zhenya.
However, this little scare didn't stop her from entering the school and getting her tools back from her brother!
She walked towards the gate of the school, strutting through as the guard looked at her suspiciously. However, with a figure as small as that, how could she cause trouble? If she did, it would not amount to much.
That was why, even though the little lady obviously wasn't a high schooler, the guard just let her through. After all, there was no policy that said that she wasn't allowed to come in, right? There was also the fact that the little lady looked very pretty. This swayed the guard, as his daughter was going to be born soon.
Zhou Zhenya looked around the wide s.p.a.ce. There was a fountain in the center of the courtyard.
"Wow, what an elegant school..." Zhou Zhenya had almost forgotten her objective for coming here, due to how good the school looked.
She shook her head, forcing herself to remember her original purpose. After which she proceeded with a stern look on her face. This looked rather silly.
Entering the building, she wandered around, catching the gazes of many, if not all, of the people that she pa.s.sed by. There were mainly two reasons: one, it was unusual for someone of her age to here, unless there was a parents' meeting, but in this case, there wasn't; two, she was too cute to be ignored.
Eventually, she arrived at the room she wanted to go to, climbing up many stairs in the process. Because of this, she was out of breath and paused for a short while before walking again.
Ring, ring! The school bell rung, startling Zhou Zhenya.
.....
Upon hearing the bell ring, the teachers walked out of their respective rooms and walked towards their first cla.s.ses' rooms.
Wen Hui slowed her movement down to drag the time as much as possible - she did not want to face that student of hers. However, no matter how slow she walked, in the end, she would still arrive at her destination.
And she did.
The last set of stairs was in front of her, taunting her to ascend on them. She eventually gave in, walking up the stairs, although very hesitantly.
As she reached the summit, she turned cold - the door to her room was right there. Only then did she notice someone in a similar state as her right beside her.
A little lady, wearing both a black suit that was obviously too big for her and gla.s.ses that were tinted black, was panting as her face was trickling with sweat. It looked like she was dressed as an executive for some reason...
"Little miss, are you okay?" Wen Hui asked the little lady wearing black.
"Ah, yes, thanks." Zhou Zhenya responded instinctively. In her mind, she was still complaining. Why was her brother's room on the topmost floor of a five-storey building?!
She turned her head to look at the nice lady that asked about her condition. Anyone who was concerned for a stranger's well-being would surely be blessed with a good-looking face! Matched with her pleasing voice, Zhou Zhenya had almost no doubt that this woman would be, at the very least, pretty.
Seeing the little lady turn her head to look at her, she put on a hospitable smile.
"Miss," Zhou Zhenya spoke as she turned her head, "are you a tea... cher..." She stumbled on her own words as her head was pointing towards the nice lady's face.
Her satisfied expression turned into one of fear, which then turned into one prepared for death. She closed her eyes, hoping that she would not witness her own death.
What... the heck is this?! What kind of cruel plot twist is this? Goodbye world, I'm going to be eaten by a ghost...
As Zhou Zhenya prepared herself for death, Wen Hui was confused by this sudden change in the little lady's expression. Nonetheless, she heard the little lady's question, and of course, answered it accordingly. "Yes, I am a teacher."
"Huh?" Zhou Zhenya heard Wen Hui's somewhat confused voice confirm her suspicions, which made her puzzled. Why did the ghost not eat me? Am I unattractive? Am I unpalatable? What's the matter? She then started up her brain in an attempt to find out the reason.
"Aha! So you're not looking for me, right?" Zhou Zhenya asked with a relieved tone.
"Huh? Ah, yes, I'm not looking for you..." Wen Hui got more and more confused as time went on. This kid's questions don't make sense! Not even a little bit!
"Then you're here... to get revenge?" Zhou Zhenya inquired further. From the looks of it, she was dumped because of her ugliness, and she committed suicide because of that. After that, she came back to get revenge.
"Well, I wouldn't call it revenge..." Wen Hui answered. Yes, she was there to show her currently ugly face on purpose to Zhou Lei, but it wasn't really revenge.
"I don't care, I'm here to help you!" Zhou Zhenya winked at Wen Hui with a thumb up. She didn't care who this nice ghost was going to get revenge on, but one thing's for sure: she needs to cause a distraction.
If her brother saw her in his school wearing their mother's outfit, who knows what he'll do!
That was why she planned to cause a distraction. First of all, this ghost needs to command attention. From the way she looks now, she sure commands attention, but just at a momentary glance. After that, everyone'll have lost interest, and it'll be too late for Zhou Zhenya to sneak in and grab her tools.
This was the reason she needed the ghost to become attractive, a surefire way to get lots of attention to herself. And that was where she comes in - Zhou Zhenya would make Wen Hui look extremely attractive with makeup.
For some reason, Zhou Zhenya felt strangely confident in her ability to put makeup on herself and on others. She was sure that once she got her hands on some makeup, even the ugliest dog could become a supermodel! Actually, no. That was an exaggeration. Her scope was only limited to humans and humanoids.
