"Welcome, Sir. What would you like to buy here?" The receptionist girl greeted Abium politely as he walked inside the stall near to the exchange counter. From what he heard from Equa, this was under tower master's control, and anyone could buy things after paying the right amount.
"I'm here to check if something that might help me to increase my spirit power." He thought of trying his luck here but didn't get anything.
"Sorry, Sir. Here we have low tier potion formulas for apprentice mages, low tier artifacts, low-level magic bombs, alchemy puppets, spell models, and potion materials. If you are looking for portions, then you have to look for potion master by yourself."
'Hm? Then I have to ask the teacher Zivior, huh! And what is alchemic puppet?!' It piqued his interest.
"Hmm, Can you show me what those alchemy puppets are?"
"Yes, sir." The receptionist brought him to another area, and finally, both entered inside a large room. There were many humanoid-like puppet figures arranged there based on the price rate in a different section. On those puppets' outer surface, rune letters were inscribed.
The lowest price start with 5 Abyssal crystals and the highest one being 250 Abyssal crystals. These puppets look similar to humans, but all of these were made of metals, animal bones, etc. Multiple rune circles were inscribed, and all those puppets' bodies gave Abium some creepy feeling.
He scanned all those puppets one by one and finally picked up two puppets for 10 Abyssal crystals each. It has the head of a human and body of lizard kin. Two curved daggers were attached to it's hand and constantly flashing cold light on those edges. After he brought those two puppets, he forgot to ask one important thing.
"How to control these puppets?" His question made that receptionist girl and two other gray-robed figures to turned their gazes with surprised expression towards him. Quickly receptionist girl gave an apologetic bow and explained.
"Controlling these puppets are a simple thing. Once you marked it with your spirit, then you can control them under your own will. Each one of these puppet's strength and agility would rival fourth-tier warriors. Although they won't be able to produce qi or skills, these puppets will come in handy during life and death battles."
'Fourth tier warriors, huh! Not bad.'
Abium listened to her explanation quietly.
"If you got materials of high tier warriors, please feel free to bring it here." She said with a happy smile, but Abium wasn't happy at all. It was the first time he heard mages would also use the human body for making a puppet! Although he already guessed earlier But still he felt uneasy. After a short pause, Abium chose to accept reality.
'Hmm, maybe in the future, I will also have to do these kinds of things.' He didn't like to do these types of things on normal humans, but if that were going to benefit him, then he would do without any hesitation.
He quickly paid two crystal cards to the receptionist then shifted his gaze to magic bombs placed a few meters away. The power of this magic bomb would be much higher when detonating.
In the past, he went on a secret mission to blow down a castle which was occupied by a lesser demon using this magic bomb. But the problem was the price. His lips began to twitch once he saw the price tag.
'100 abyssal crystals for one magic bomb? Isn't this basically complete rip off?' He heard it was an expensive item but didn't think the price would be this much. If he spends all those money on his territory, he would be able to build a small town.
This exchange counter also has some artifacts kept outside, and Abium quickly moved there. After an immediately check, a black sword piqued his interest.
[Curved Short sword]
Quality: intermediate
Skills/spells: Dark vines.
It was a good sword. It's forged with dark steel, and if Abium manages to inscribe an extra spell model in the future, then it might turn into a decent magic sword.
This thing was obviously worth a lot and Abium spend three crystal card on this sword without hesitation.
Magic artifacts were going to be very expensive, like potions in the future.
This sword was every warriors' most wanted items. Unfortunately, the average adventurers or warriors couldn't afford this intermediate magic artifact. They might not be even able to earn this much amount in their lifetime.
Abium was different, buying an intermediate sword not thinking too much about it because he has to rely on this sword to enter Alastall woodlands and other areas for the time being.
He quickly bid his farewell to that receptionist girl, then left the magic tower and returned to the mansion.
Once he entered his room, he first took out that green leaf from his spatial ring and placed it on his palm. It was laid on his hand, br.i.m.m.i.n.g with full of vitality.
'What to do with this leaf?' He asked Azolla. What was unique about this so-called nature's leaf? In the past, he never heard of anything like this.
'It's a leaf of the world tree kid. These leaves are very precious in any world.'
'So do I have to eat this leaf or what?' Azolla's chuckling sound came inside his mind that made him annoy a little.
'No, kid. You don't have any nature's affinity, so it's basically waste to use it on you.' Abium's eyes narrowed.
'Then why did you even said it would be useful?'
'Ugh, but your friend has the Nature affinity, kid.' Abium's expression froze.
'Friend? Do you mean Helena?'
'Yes, she has average nature affinity and has a chance to walk on the path of druids.'
'Druids?! But she's already practicing her warrior cultivation.' If not, Abium would already give her mana cultivation techniques to practice magic.
'Kid, I will ask you a question. Did you ever seen a druid in your life?' This question caught him off guard.
'Well, i had seen them once from afar when the elven emissaries paid a visit to our kingdom.'
'Oh? So the World tree is still in their hands, huh!' Abium eyes went wide when he heard this.
'What do you mean? Our world also has a tree similarly like that bone tree?' Abium never heard of any world tree that exists in this Estica world.
'Of course, the world tree exists in every plane kid. Don't you know that without the world tree, the whole plane would be doomed?' Abium simply shook his head at Azolla's question.
'So, are you saying using this world tree leaf, Helena could be able to cast the magic spell?'
'Exactly!' Abium nodded his head at her reply, but suddenly, he felt doubtful.
"But this nature's leaf is not from our world, right? How does it would help her?" He asked out loud.
'Ha! It won't work like that kid. All these world trees were somewhat interlinked to one another like one large tree. So, you don't have to worry about this problem.' His amber eyes squinted, and he quickly walked out then informed one of the servants to tell Helena to come here. After a few minutes, he heard walking footsteps from outside.
Knock! Knock.
"Com-." Before he could say anything, the door kicked open, and Helena stood with a kicking pose along with Camilla and both sisters on her sides.
"Abi! What happened?" She asked and soon retracted her right leg and leisurely walked inside.
"Why did you even knock when you already plan on opening the door like this?" He sent a glare and sighed helplessly.
'Well, it is her habit, after all.'
"Tsk. I didn't break that door, right? So what the problem?" She said, and soon, the group entered and sat on the bed.
"Now, tell me, why did you call me here?"
Abium quickly took out that nature's leaf and placed it on his hand while others gave a curious look at that.
"Don't say anything." Abium stopped Helena before she could say anything and placed that nature's leaf on her forehead. The following instant, the green leaf directly went inside her head and disappeared from everyone's eyes.
"Huh? Eh? Abi? What did you do? Tell me, where did that leaf go?!" Helena shouted in panic while grabbing his collar.
"Calm down. It's called Nature's leaf and will help you to cast nature magic spells." Helena became startled when hearing that.
"What is nature magic?" She became confused. Well, everyone inside that room gave a puzzled look.
"Nature magic is like borrowing nature energy from the world tree and use it to manipulate plants and trees." Abium simply told them what Azolla said inside his mind. Well, he also doesn't know much about the world tree or druids.
"Oh! It's almost similar to divine spells." Lily mumbled.
Abium nodded in agreement. He also thought the same at first. Still, there was a difference between two; for example, to cast a divine spell, you need to be a firm follower of any G.o.d or G.o.ddess. But to cast a nature spell, Helena doesn't have to be anything like that. She would be able to cast nature spells without any problem. More than that, she would also be able to communicate with all those animals.
"But why me? I don't know how to repay you for all these." Helena felt a little troubled to accept this.
"Don't worry about these small things." Abium waved his hand and scanned her whole body.
'Azolla, why didn't I sense any difference in her body?' He puzzled.
'Wait for a while, kid.' Abium nodded his head, and everyone looked at Helena. Soon, Helena felt something inside her mind and felt somewhat attractive to outside plants. Green clouds like b.a.l.l.s appeared in front of her eyes as she quickly walked out, then moved towards the courtyard. Helena focused her concentration on the plants outside, and in her mind, she saw mysterious glow came from that leaf.
"Abi! I can see it now. That leaf is glowing inside my mind." She shouted excitedly. Abium nodded his head and quickly asked Azolla.
'What did she have to do next? Is she also have to read that rune language book?' He didn't know how the druid would build spell models and asked.
'No, kid. The rule is totally different for casting a nature magic spell. Tell her to concentrate on that leaf regularly, and soon she will form a connection with this plane's world tree.' Abium nodded his head and explained to Helena. Following that, he left the group and returned to his room. Although he was eager to research more about the other materials, he had more things to do.
…
Meanwhile, inside the Alastall woodland, you could see a small town in the southeast sh.o.r.eline. It almost looked like a small Port town but was entirely controlled by two infamous pirates.
There's one sizeable two-storied building stood while dominating other buildings. In that building, Brink sat on his chair while gazing at the letter that has a seal of firebird on it while grabbing his women's waist.
That woman, on the other hand, picked up that letter and quickly read it out loud with a grim expression. While hearing that, the expression of Brink soon turned into a mocking smile as he noticed that Baron was asking his help to kill that necromancer.
'Ho! Really a pitiful fellow. The king must be despised him before his death.' He thought. Who would be willing to choose this territory if not for that late king's decision?
"Lavada, what do you think of this letter? What is his aim?" Although he didn't think anything out of the ordinary for that baron to ask his help, he chose to ask his women.
"My darling, from the information we gathered from the adventurer's guild, he is a n.o.body. So why are you so worried about him being a threat to us." Although he felt relieved, there was one thing that made him hesitate.
"But I heard he is a mage, my love." Lavada slowly kissed him on his cheek and put her fingers on his lips to stop talking.
"Don't worry, honey, you are a fifth tier warrior, so why are you so worried about a single mage." Brink eyes soon brightened.
'Yes, he is just a single mage like that necromancer. Also, he is willing to pay me 1000 white gold coins.' His black eyes shined.
Knock! Knock!
"Tsk, Who is it?" The knocking sound made Lavada's expression to frown and shouted while sat on Brink's lap.
"Sister, it's me, Gibson."
"Oh? Why are you here? Come in, the door not locked."

Soon, a guy with a muscular figure and wooden eyes entered while gazing at both of them then said with a stutter.
"C-Captain, that bandit Keith is waiting in the hall to meet you." His reply made both of their eyes sharpen.
"Oh! Tell him to come in." Brink said with a severe tone while Lavada quickly stood up and nodded towards Brink.
"Yes, Captain." Gibson quickly dashed out of the room and returned with a guy with a bald head.
"Well, well, I didn't expect to meet you so soon, mister Brink." Keith gave a sly smile and sat on the chair in front of him.
"Haha, how are you, my friend?" Brink poured the ale on the cup in front of him and pa.s.sed it to Keith.
"Haha, I am fine. Did you found out about that girl I asked you before?"
"Yes, I found some interesting things about her, mister Keith," Lavada said with a wide grin.
"Who is she?" Brink's eyes squinted.
"But before that, where is she now, mister Keith?" Lavada's question startled everyone and soon shifted their gaze towards her, including Keith.
"Miss, do you know who she is?" At first, Keith had a little suspicion about Aliza, but now he confirmed.
'There must be some secrets about her.' He antic.i.p.ated for Lavada's answer.
"Ahem, You can see her wanted poster in every light church and adventurer's guild. I don't know why the light church is after this girl, but they have been searching for her for the past two years." She stopped and quickly shifted her gaze towards Keith.
Meanwhile, Keith startled inside. He never thought that girl was a wanted figure by the light church itself!
"So, that's why he is hiding her in that tower all the time, huh!"
"Oh? Did you know about her? Is she the one that necromancer is hiding inside that tower?" Brink asked in seriousness.
"Yes, I too had some suspicion, but I never expected the light church wants her."
"Oh! That's a piece of great news, my friend. Lavada, how much is her bounty?"
"5000 White golds." The room went silent all of a sudden after her reply.
"Are you serious?" Brink blinked his eyes rapidly.
"Do you have any plan to capture her?" Gibson, who has been keeping his mouth shut all the time, asked.
"Yes, I think that necromancer is planning to send all our bandit gang members to kill that newly t.i.tled baron, so I will use that opportunity to capture her and bring her here."
"Good."

Brink nodded his head in approval and thought of revealing the information about that newly t.i.tled baron's letter, but Lavada stopped him.
After they exchanged a few more information, Keith left the building with a wide grin on his face leaving the other three in the room.
