Fortunately before she could start fretting, her best friend came rushing over. The young queen pulled her into a tight hug, causing Kaldrek to hastily step back.
"Zylvia you look so beautiful! You make a very pretty bride."
"Thank you, Fayre. Its very nice of you to say so, but I am not that pretty." Zylvia laughed as she hugged her friend back, thinking to herself that Fayre was the pretty one. She looked like a doll with her black hair and her pale skin. Even though black hair was common in the Kingdom, Fayre's was particularly glossy and beautiful.
"Nonsense, you're gorgeous." Fayre affirmed stubbornly. "Anyone who doesn't think so is blind. Don't you agree, Kaldrek?" She glanced at him, with a small glare that stated that he had better agree.
Kaldrek looked back at the queen for a moment, and then glanced at Zylvia, then back. "Very pretty." He agreed.
Zylvia let at a soft snort of laughter, "I think the Court Sorcerer is afraid to disagree with you, Fayre." Both of the young women giggled at this. Kaldrek merely rolled his eyes at the two females.
Queen Fayre then took a look at Kaldrek and frowned, "Kaldrek did you even try to fix your bird's nest of a hair. I mean, really, it is your own wedding."
Kaldrek let out a sigh and then spoke in an extremely somber voice, "I got it too stay for about ten seconds after struggling with it for two hours. It is beyond any power I might have to do anything with it."
"...I see." The queen said, "You could always just shave it off. At least then it would be manageable."
"Not happening." Kaldrek said flatly, "I am more or less used to it."
"Don't make Kaldrek shave his head," Zylvia interjected, as a huge grin swept across her face. "If he did how could we tease him about how he always looks like a rat just made its home there."
"....Maybe I should trim it." Kaldrek muttered under his breath, "At least then you guys would leave it alone." He shook his head in exasperation.
"Do you really think that would work?" Fayre clucked her tongue at him. "So naive, Kaldrek. We would just find something else to tease you about."
Zylvia smiled, her nerves felt a lot better now. Nothing much had actually changed, mainly just that she would be closer to her friends. Her eyes then went to the food that was set up. She hadn't eaten all day and was now feeling rather hungry. "Excuse me, I think I will go look for sustenance."
As Zylvia moved to take her leave, Kaldrek offered her his arm again, "All right let's get you fed." He glanced at the queen, "Do you want to join us?"
"Sure." The queen smiled as they made their way towards the food.
