He took her hand in his and peered into her eyes, his brows slightly furrowed and his eyes searching her own, "What is wrong, Zylv? Did I do something? Can I make it better?"
As he spoke to her with worry in his voice, she sighed. And then she stepped closer to him, tucking her body against his, "I am sorry… I just feel so… irritable at the moment. you did nothing deserving of me snapping at you. Can you hold me for a bit though? I think it would help…"
In response, Kaldrek wrapped an arm around her waist, though she noticed that his eyes were still watching her worriedly, "Okay….do you need to eat something? Are you hungry?"
She snorted with laughter. It was not a bad question with how she was acting, there was a reason all her friends always tried to make sure she never got hungry on them. But that was definitely not it today, "No, I truly do not feel like eating." She paused, shifting in her feet slightly, "I just… feel somewhat down, I guess."
Kaldrek gently wrapped his arms about her. She felt herself melting into him, already feeling better. Kaldrek just had that effect on her, he was able to calm her down whenever she got emotional. She could not help but to feel sorry for him having to deal with her whenever she became an emotional mess.
"Well, Zylv, my love, do you want to lie down for a little bit?" Some of her irritableness had faded away, his concern chasing it away.
She nodded, "If you'll hold me." She had a grip on his arm as she demanded his attention. It was not that he had been ignoring her lately, but she had not gotten to spend as much time as she would have liked with her husband. Perhaps that was what her problem was.
He chuckled at how needy she was being as he nodded, and then walked her to their room where he sat on the bed and looked at her. There was a gentleness in his eyes, one that made her feel entirely weak knowing it was directed at her.
It hit her once again just how much she loved this man with all his imperfections. With a smile starting to bloom on her face, she strode over to him and sat beside of him. She slipped an arm around his torso as she leaned into him. He placed his own arm around her shoulders and squeezed her close to him.
"Feel better, love?" His words came out gentle and completely filled with the deep affection he had towards her.
She snuggled closer to him, letting her head rest on his chest, "Much. Thank you, my lord."
"Anytime." He dropped a kiss on her forehead, as he slowly pulled her down with him so that the were stretched across the bed.
Zylvia grinned as she scooted closer to him and slipped her other arm around him, "Hey I really am sorry I was snappish earlier."
"Its okay. Just worried me that I might have upset you in some way. Would not have been the first time I accidentally did so."
She giggled, acknowledging the truth of the statement. As much as she loved her sweet sorcerer, he definitely had trouble with realizing certain boundaries. But now that he had given her a good idea of what went on in his head, she decided to be a little more patient with him.
A sigh escaped her lips as she lay in his arms. She loved having these moments with him. His arms holding her snug but not to tight. The way he had of constantly placing kisses on her forehead. His twinkling eyes, and the fact he never seemed to want to stop.
She pressed a kiss to his lips and grinned at him. His eyes had half closed as he looked at her with deep love etched into his face, "Zylv, I love you, now and always."
She clung to him and buried her head into his chest, a huge smile on her face. She would never get tired of his a.s.surances of his love for her. she murmured quietly, "I love you too, my dearest husband."
