THE CONTRACT : AN UNDYING LOVE 21 Chapter Twenty-One

I've been in London for almost three weeks. Three weeks of working, and living with Eunice and I can't really be thankful enough to Mike.

We talk often and he's really nice and funny, if not for him, I wonder how I would have been coping with the case with Chase.

I was currently working on a recipe right now on a cake.

My Mom thought me and I wanted to add a little bit of my touch.

I keep missing something but I know I'll definitely come to a final amazing point.

Malia was out on a date, a blind date. She gave me her car to take home and I was really happy about it. Considering its been a while I drove, although I have to be quite careful.

I was driving to the supermarket right now to get some groceries, I got to the parking lot and trying to find a nice spot when my eyes located the perfect one.

Accelerating, I make a turn to get into the spot when a car just b.u.mped into mine and I just hear shatters.

Great, I'm definitely dead today.

I halt and rush down as fast as I could to the front to see what was broken.

"Oh no no no no no no pleeeeaaaase" I bend down and saw the right light was broken and what's worse? There was a scratch and a few cuts just above the light.

"Oh s.h.i.t, I am soooooo sorry" I hear a voice say in a very smooth and sweet British accent and I look up angrily to tear the person apart and my eyes met him.

"I am so sorry about that, please let me take care of it" he says and I don't utter a word. I just stare at him blankly because if I were to say anything right now, I'm sure thunder will roar from my voice and strike him dead, and I'll be jailed for that.

He brings his phone out immediately and dialed a number, fidgeting his fingers in a fast pace, which signifies nervousness.

"Can't you see I was about parking here? I notified you for G.o.d sake but now you're going to get me killed" I say ruffling my hair.

"Men will be the death of you Amaya, men" I say the last part quietly to myself so he doesn't hear.

"I'm sorry I wasn't watc- yes its me. I need a mechanical a.s.sistant right now, I got into some accident, yes I'm at-" he went ahead to say but I divert my attention to my car that looked like I got into a car race or something and crashed

"I'm sorry Malia" I say as I rub the car's body like it's a pet or so.

"The name of your car is Malia?" The car wrecker asked me but I don't answer.

"Look, I'm sorry I did this. But I promise I'll take care of it soon, please don't press charges at me" he says and this time I turn to look at him and I met him bringing his hands to a pleading position and I look at his eyes and I saw worry and concern. Immediately I felt pity for him and i cleared my throat.

"Uhm, you can do something about it right?" I say and his expression changes, and there was flickers of light

"Yes, yes- oh he's here thank G.o.d" he says looking behind me and I turn my head to see who he was referring to, when a car drove past us and I follow the car with my eyes and he went ahead and parked.

The car wrecker rush to the car and I see them exchanging handshakes and then they begin to talk and make hand gestures and then they point to me and when they were done. They walked over, and shortly another man got down from the car that arrived and stood by the door.

"Well?" I asked

"Good day Ma'am" the driver greeted but he didn't sound British-ish. And I smiled in return

"He'll take your car to his workshop and then we'll have to wait for him to be done, I am sorry about all this please" he apologized and I exhaled.

"Okay" I replied and I picked my bag and phone from the inside and handed him the car key.

They drove the car off, with the main driver driving my car and the other man with the other one.

"Uhm let's go" he says and I nod.

Getting g inside his car, I put the seatbelt on and he drove off too.

We drive for sometime then I hear my stomach growl, please don't hear that.

I thought inside, and then it growls again and this time he laughs causing me to look at him.

"I'm sorry, just that you're trying to hold something that obviously won't work" he says and I smile.

"Please allow me to take care of that and please don't say no" he continued and I was confused.

"Thank you" he replies and seriously I don't know what he was talking about.

Shortly we drove ahead a restaurant and that was when I realized what he meant.

"Oh no no you don't have to do that, I can take care of myself" I say and he nodded. Parking his car "I know you can but please, I am hungry and we'll have to wait for James to finish the work anyways"

Who's James I ask myself and as if he could read minds.

"That's the guy that picked your car" he replied to my inner question and I nodded. Besides I was hungry too.

We ate and the food was amazing, but I was beginning to get worried about my car so I checked my watch often and it seems he read that, when he picked his phone and dialed a number placing it on his ear.

"Yes James, how's it going?" He asks and paused for a while

"Oh no, but I have to collect it by then please" he says and then ended the call.

"What? What is it?" I asked worried.

"I'm afraid your car won't be ready till next week" he answered and I almost choked.

"Oh no no no Malia" I say and he tilt his head

"Your car?" He says but I didn't answer. Because I was busy cooking up a lie inside my head.

"Hey" he says and I look up.

"The car belongs to my sister and she'll kill me if she finds out th-"

"Then I'll beg her, please let me do this. I am terribly sorry and right now I'm not at peace, please just let me do this" he begged and I exhaled.

"What will I tell Eunice" I say quietly to myself

"Pardon?" He asks

"Nothing. I have to start going" I reply and stood up while he did the same.

We drove home and I could hear laughter coming from the inside.

I open the door and I get everyone's attention when they saw I brought in a man.

"Hiii" I say shyly and they all glance at each other before they found their tongue.

"Welcome, welcome please come on in"  Eunice says and the man enters and I followed.

"Uhm this is my aunt Eunice, this is uhm" I realized I don't even know his name and I ignite my brows

"Will, short for William" he answers and they shake hands.

"I'm so sorry, I wrecked her car and I wanted to come apologize myself, but it's getting fixed at the moment and will be back soon, I'm sorry I hurt Malia" he ended, falling his head.

"Malia?" Eunice asked confused.

"Oh no, This is Malia and she's the owner of the car" I explain as I feel a laugh from the inside.

"Oh, Malia I am terribly sorry" he apologise to Malia and she smiled, nodding.

"Not a problem"

"We were just about to eat when you two arrived, join us please" Eunice said

"Oh no we ate before co-" I tried to explain

"I'll be very happy to, I am starving" Will said, turning to me and then he winked and I just blinked.
