SORCERESS 101 328 My Hunch Could Never Go Wrong

Mu Lingxi asked in confusion when Ja.n.u.s told her the situation.

"MEOW"

[It was just like exactly how you heard it, little la.s.s. I could not understand a word she was saying. Luna was using an alien language and I don't know how she was doing that]

Ja.n.u.s almost clawed his fur out due to frustration as he tried to explain to his master what was happening.

"Err... Why don't you tell her to use normal language then???"

Mu Lingxi suggested.

Indeed, that was the wisest thing to do.      

After all, it was not as if it was Ja.n.u.s' first time talking Luna.

Ja.n.u.s and Luna used to talk a lot before. This only goes to say that Luna knew how to speak the same language that Ja.n.u.s was using.

"MEOW"

[Do you think I haven't thought about that yet??? Of course, I already suggested that to her. But it does not seem like that she was doing it on purpose. It was more like, she forgot how to use the other language as well.]

"You mean to say, that Luna only knew how to speak in an alien language now???"

"MEOW"

[That seemed to be the case.]

Ja.n.u.s could only slump his shoulder as the realization of their current situation continued to sink on him.

"Is that so??? Err... Don't you think she was just trying to show off??? Maybe she learned it somewhere and she was just doing it on purpose to let you know she knew more than one language???"

Ja.n.u.s looked heavenwards when he heard Mu Lingxi's next words.

That was the most ridiculous and nonsense conclusion that he could ever come up with

Trying to show off, you say???

Can't you get any creative than that?!!

"MEOW"

[Hmmmm.. I don't believe that Schoolmaster Yin does not have anything to do with this. He must have done something to my Luna!]

Ja.n.u.s' eyes glowed with malevolence when he suddenly thought about that.

Right at the moment that he first saw that Schoolmaster Yin, Ja.n.u.s already had a bad feeling towards him.

It was only because he needed the help of the party that was why he remained in silence and decided not to pay him any heed.

Besides, Schoolmaster Yin hasn't done anything bad to him before so Ja.n.u.s did not find the need to expose and spoil the other party's facade.

He had long known that Schoolmaster Yin was some wolf hiding under a sheepskin but he just did not bother to mention it to anyone before.

Not even to his master, Mu Lingxi.

After all, he did not wish to appear prejudice about the other party

But now that he had his reasons to doubt the other party's character, Ja.n.u.s did not hold himself back anymore and expressed his doubts.

"Ja.n.u.s? Calm down. You should not be pointing fingers here. How could you be so sure that Schoolmaster Yin had anything to do with this??"

Mu Lingxi could not understand why her cat, Ja.n.u.s, was so sure about his opinion.

"MEOW"

[Believe me, little la.s.s, it was him! He had everything to do with this!!!]

Ja.n.u.s reiterated his words with much conviction in his voice.

"How could you be certain about it Ja.n.u.s?? He was the one who helped us, remember???"

It was not that Mu Lingxi trusted Schoolmaster Yin more than she could trust Ja.n.u.s' words.

It was just that she was not that kind of person who would trust and believe blindly to someone's words of accusation over someone else. Even that someone was her closest peer.

"MEOW"

[Exactly?! He was the only one who touched Luna aside form us. It was not as if someone from us were capable of  doing this to Luna, right?]

"But it does not necessarily mean that Schoolmaster Yin is capable of doing it, either."

Mu Lingxi tried to reason out to Ja.n.u.s. She was not planning to side with Schoolmaster Yin. She was just trying to act neutral and looked at the situation from a different perspective.

"MEOW"

[I have complete trust in my natural instinct, little la.s.s.  And my instinct was telling me that we could not put our complete trust to that schoolmaster of yours.]

"So you mean to say  that Schoolmaster Yin was not someone we could trust, solely because of your hunch???"

"MEOW"

[Definitely yes!!!!]

"Oh, Ja.n.u.s. You are probably just being too emotional, right now. We could talk about it again later after you calm down."

Mu Lingxi patted Ja.n.u.s' head and advised him to calmed down first.

"MEOW"

[But my hunch could never go wrong!]

"No more buts Ja.n.u.s. Don't worry, we would find a way to sort this out. Please stop putting the blame on anyone. No one wants any of this to happen."

Mu Lingxi was too skeptical to accept Ja.n.u.s' words in the face value.

After all, she thought that Ja.n.u.s must have been stressed out after he found out about Luna's condition

She had learned base on experience that emotion could very much likely cloud one's sense of rationality at times.

Mu Lingxi and her friends decided to leave the folded s.p.a.ce after that short encounter with Luna

Now that they already knew what exactly was Long Ye's reason for keeping Luna away from them, they were finally at ease.

Just like Long Yue, they could also feel that there was something different about Luna compared to what she used to before.

But it was a pity though that only Mu Lingxi and her cat, Ja.n.u.s, could only know what exactly was that thing that made Luna different to her previous self.

"We're sorry if we doubted you, Long Yue."

"Right, sorry if we misunderstood you..."

Long Fuzi and the others knew that  Long Yue deserved their apologies.

As such, as soon as they went out of the folded s.p.a.ce, they did not hesitate to express their apologies towards him one after another.

To which their friend, Long Yue, accepted readily without a heavy heart.

"It's okay. I know why you feel that way. I would not blame any of you for feeling that way. It's normal."

That was how Long Yue usually was.

He was someone who would just choose to shrug the matter off his shoulder, as long as he found it petty.
