Unlike before, Long Yue and the others did not go out to Majika after their cla.s.s. But instead, they decided to stay inside their room.
Apparently they were thinking of starting the plan for their next adventure for the hope of looking for the solution in Luna's condition.
After taking their first-ever mission in the land of Echurid, the group refrained from accepting any other missions.
But right now, they were planning to use it as a cover. So that they can freely leave the school premises without risking getting suspicious.
After all, they were out for the search of the last sole survivor of the forgotten practice of Necromancy.
If this will become made known to many, it will just attract unnecessary attention towards them. Which in return will bring more trouble for their group.
The search for the last and sole survivor of the pract.i.tioner of Necromancy has a certain degree of danger by itself already. Adding more to it will just make their job a lot tougher and riskier.
According to what the old hermit said, the news about the apprentice necromancer who managed to survive the annihilation of the pract.i.tioners of necromancy was believed to be last heard somewhere along the Kingdom of Long.
Which coincidentally happens to be Long Yue and Long Fuzi's homeland.
Since the group already has a place in mind, all left to them now was to wait for a mission that will be somehow related to the Long Kingdom.
They will just have to take that mission and visit the kingdom of Long in the middle of doing their designated task.
"I still have some Wish Liquid left with me. I think it could still be more than enough for each of us. We can drink one spoonful of it once we decided to set foot on our mission."
Long Yue announced to his friends as they gathered around in a circle.
"That would be for the best. Chan Gu, it will be your job to look for the possible missions that we can partake for the next coming days."
Fan Lei said as he looked to Chan Gu to get his friends' content. Among the six of them, Chan Gu happens to be the most efficient and perfect candidate when it comes to gathering information.
Due to his friendly personality, Chan Gu had a large network of connections to acquire useful information in no time.
'Knock! Knock!'
Before the group could even proceed on discussing their next course of action, they suddenly heard a knock coming from their door.
The sun has not yet to dip on the horizon. It was still shining brightly outside so it is not uncommon to have someone come knocking on one's door.
It is just that, they were not used to receiving a guest. Just who could it possibly be???
"Let me check it.."
The most likely to come and visit them in their dorm at this time of the day could be Mu Yanxiao. That is why Long Fuzi took the initiative to open the door.
Yet when Long Fuzi opened the door, he was greeted by a different face. It was Hae Soo, the one who helped Mu Lingxi before during the semi-annual student a.s.sessment. Though it was just her avatar and it was only a simulation back then.
When Hae Soo saw someone else opened the door for her instead of Chan Gu, she was initially disappointed. But she did not allow it to show in her beautiful face.
She instantly flashed a forced smile on her face as she asked Long Fuzi.
"Can I talk to Chan Gu???"
Perhaps too used to maintaining a cold demeanor, Hae Soo was unable to fully shake off her coldness even when she smiles.
However, that only seemed to add another layer to her charm, creating a feeling somewhat reminiscent of the cold moon smiling slightly down upon one.
Even Long Fuzi who swears that his heart only flutters whenever he saw Mu Lingxi can't help but get momentarily enticed and smitten by her beauty.
It was at that time that Long Fuzi realizes that this beauty before him could be highly likely to be the woman whom Chan Gu was head over heels.
In fact, they will not find it as a huge surprise if their friend, Chan Gu, happens to fell in love at first sight with a charming lady just like the other party.
"Chan Gu, someone was looking for you."
Long Fuzi called out for his friend without taking his eyes away from Hae Soo. He did not dare invite the other party inside because he knows well enough that it will only turn the atmosphere awkward for both sides.
The room was full of young and healthy men while the other party was a beauty and she does not have a single company with her.
No matter how one looks at it, it won't look good if she will be seen entering a guy's room on her own accord.
So to avoid unnecessary rumors and awkward moments, Long Fuzi remain standing along the room's entrance perfectly blocking it as they waited for Chan Gu to come.
When Chan Gu finally saw who was waiting for him outside, he was obviously surprised. His eyes went on circles as he stared a the beautiful lady waiting outside.
He did not dare believe that Hae Soo personally came knocking on their dorm and visited him on her own will even though he was already seeing it by his two own eyes.
Just a few days of not seeing each other, but the young lady in his memory seems to have grown much more beautiful.
She naturally commanded a disposition of elegance, and her facial features had gotten far more ravishing as well.
It was as if they had been painstakingly carved into perfection. With just one look, one would find oneself unwittingly holding one's breath.
She was simply too beautiful to be described by mere words. Every single aspect of her seemed to be the embodiment of beauty itself, making it impossible to pick out a single flaw out of it.
Her eyebrows curved in swooping arches over her eyes. The black of her pupil was surrounded by a ring of jagged silver fire, swallowed by emerald green.
At one glance her eyes merely shone, but if you dared to look closer you could clearly see the sadness of heartbreak, the joy of love, the hope of the future, the pain of sorrow, and the fire of a spirit that would never give up.
Her eyes were green like that warm wool sweater that you put on when the air gets that chill- comfortable, warm, familiar. Her eyes were that kind of green.
As a simple-headed man he was, Chan Gu cannot understand how did he manage to read those many emotions in that one swift moment that he stared on Hae Soo's eyes.
Hae Soo stood there in front of the door, her hands behind her back while the wind blows softly in her body. The dress under her mage coat as well as her hair dances with the wind.
She stood there still like a beautiful painting. Her silky black hair fell on her orange mage coat as if long streaks of ink.
The vibrant colors of the flowers in the surroundings seemed to complement her disposition, creating an inexplicably bewitching sight.
Even the blooming of the peach flowering trees in an orchard during the springtime seems to pale in comparison when placed next to her beauty.
'Just what had come to me recently??? Every time my eyes sets to Hae Soo, my mind will suddenly start being poetic that it dare create beautiful imagery and come up with tons of romantic descriptive words that I would usually have a hard time to come up with during normal days...'
Chan Gu asked rhetorically to himself as he stared back at Hae Soo.
I must be crazy. Crazily in love with Hae Soo...
Listening to his own heart beating, Chan Gu immediately got the answer to his question.
"Hi, Chan Gu. Sorry to disturbed you. I just came here to give you this."
It was only at this time that Hae Soo removed her hands that she was hiding behind her back. She extended her hand and offer it Chan Gu.
Looking at what Hae Soo was holding in her hands, he saw a neatly folded robe.
The last time they met in Pixie Yard, Hae Soo spends her entire time until it was already night in tutoring Chan Gu in his Elixir Making.
As a known fact, Chan Gu was simply not so good when it comes to Elixir Making so they literally took forever just to finish concocting a single flask of Elixir of Wolfs Bane back then.
Afraid that Hae Soo will catch a cold because of the cold draft of the night, Chan Gu took off his warm robe and lend it Hae Soo. Earning him a few browny points to Hae Soo for being a gentleman.
"Ohh. You should not have to bother yourself about it. You can just keep it for yourself or give it to me next time we meet."
Chan Gu was feeling so worried and conflicted upon learning that Hae Soo took the trouble to personally deliver his robe to the boy's dormitory.
Little did he know, that it was just an excuse for Hae Soo's part to meet him.
What really prompted Hae Soo to come knocking to Chan Gu's door is not because she wanted to return the robe but because she badly misses him.
She longed for his smile, for his voice, everything about Chan Gu. Her heart longs for it.
She missed him like crazy and it was driving her to the state of madness to the point that she was starting seeing Chan Gu's smile wherever she closed her eyes.
Her only cure is seeing Chan Gu's face and smile again.
