Chapter 215 I Command You to Sleep
“What a huge crater!” Seeing the large pit in the garden, Tang Airou and the others were taken aback by the force of the dynamite blast. It was comforting that Bei Yunxue and the others were all right.
“w.a.n.g Feng, what's the matter? How come the killers broke into your home?” Tang Airou all of a sudden turned around and talked to w.a.n.g Feng.
“Hey, the violent police officer, I should ask you the same question. Haven't you been tracing the members of the group? How come he appeared in my home?”
“You….” Hearing what w.a.n.g Feng said, Tang Airou couldn't find any word to respond to him.
“Then I'll leave some of our people here to protect you day and night so that there shouldn't be any big problem.”
“There's no need to do that,” w.a.n.g Feng shook his head and said. “We are still gonna continue our life here. What will others think about us if the policemen stand here guarding us every day? Just forget about it. I can handle it if there is any problem.”
“Madam Tang, we found a pendant.” Suddenly, a policeman shouted and came, running with something clutched in his hand.
“Let me have a look.” w.a.n.g Feng and the others frowned after they received and examined the pendant.
The fact that the pendant had a shape of a human skull scared them.
Putting the pendant aside, Tang Airou again told them, “Take some blood sample back to do a DNA test. Let's see who they are.”
Now, the killer's corpse was not even complete. It had been scattered in pieces in the explosion probably. So, w.a.n.g Feng had no way to hand him over.
The blood sample was collected very quickly. Tang Airou took a look at w.a.n.g Feng and other two people. Then he said. “There has been some unrest going on in Zhu Hai City recently. Please don't trust any stranger.”
“You guys go to fill up the crater and handle the scene. The others go back to the police station with me.”
“Shouldn't you guys have a rest? It's so late.” w.a.n.g Feng asked, shocked by what Tang Airou just said.
“Does it have anything to do with you whether we have a rest or not? Mind your own business.” Tang Airou said coldly. Hearing that, w.a.n.g Feng couldn't help rolling his eyes. His good will was taken for ill intent.
Since things went on like this, he didn't want to make any more detailed inquiries. Just let it be.
“Recently there have been a number of cases of missing girls in our city. We suspect a criminal gang from another province of committing the crime. We've been investigating it for almost 10 days.” Tang Airou ignored w.a.n.g Feng, while a policeman beside her grumbled.
They had been doing extra work for like 10 days. Even the most energetic person could stand no more. They ate and slept in the police station, with no more than 5 hours' sleeping time. Sometimes they even had to stay up all night when they were busy.
Even for now, they were on their duty with dark circles, fatigued both physically and mentally.
What was more, they didn't have any bonus. They would have already quitted their job and slept at home, if they hadn't had the violent madam, Tang Airou.
“Tang Airou, it's fine that you don't have a rest. But aren't you too selfish for not allowing others to sleep?” The policemen looked so tired that w.a.n.g Feng knew that they couldn't have had enough sleep for some time.
Although there were cases for them to handle, it wasn't a good way to exhaust all of them. n.o.body could finish their tasks without rest.
“It's none of your business.” Tang Airou said coldly after glancing at w.a.n.g Feng.
“Why so touchy?” Before he said something, Tang Airou had been so mad. So, her tone agitated him a little bit, and he became angry as well.
“You are not even one of us. What right do you have to comment on us?” Tang Airou's tone was even worse than w.a.n.g Feng's, as if she had been beaten by w.a.n.g Feng. Her voice was full of grievances.
“What right do I have? I have this.” As he was speaking, w.a.n.g Feng took a badge out of his pocket, which was a Dragon Spirit Badge.
This badge could deploy any troop. Of course, it could order a few policemen or Tang Airou. Even her father had to address w.a.n.g Feng as “Sir”.
These people didn't take their lives seriously when handling cases. But a person's energy was limited. It might be fine to hold on for one or two days, but working continuously for ten days was too much even for an ironman.
“What is this metal sc.r.a.p? Don't show it to me and hinder me from working.” Tang Airou pushed w.a.n.g Feng's hand away, sullen.
“What? You don't know what it is?” w.a.n.g Feng was surprised at Tang Airou's reaction to it. She simply called the dignified Dragon Spirit Badge a piece of metal sc.r.a.p! Other Dragon Spirit Squads would tear up her mouth if they heard it.
“Why should I know it? Don't show it to me anymore. I've got a great deal of stuff to do. Please get out of my way.”
“What the heck! She really doesn't have any idea of it.” w.a.n.g Feng said to himself. It was just beyond him that Tang Airou was so ignorant of the Dragon Spirit Badge, which symbolized the ultimate honor in every soldier's heart.
“Then, take a look at this and you'll get it.” While speaking, he took a red booklet out of his pocket once again.
The rank of the Dragon Spirit Badge was so high that it perhaps was understandable that regular policemen couldn't recognize it. After all, there were only a small number of the Dragon Spirit soldiers. How could he execute his tasks if everybody knew who he was?
But even if she didn't recognize his badge, she should know how to read.
The red booklet was the military officer certificate issued by the Dragon Spirit Squad, which was his ident.i.ty. w.a.n.g Feng brought the two important things with him all the time, in case there was any problem.
After all, only by showing the certificate could he make any arrangements. He would be caught to the prison if he set to deploy the troops without any proof.
“What is it?” Seeing the red booklet that w.a.n.g Feng handed to her, Tang Airou found it a bit weird but still took it and opened it finally.
Having turned it over, her hands trembled so hard that the red booklet was on the brink of falling down to the floor.
“It is absolutely impossible.” Tang Airou shook her head repeatedly and couldn't believe it was true.
The information on the red booklet was very simple, including what troop w.a.n.g Feng was in and his military t.i.tle that was obviously a Major.
The one who could be a member of the Dragon Spirit Squad had to be at least a Major. So, didn't despise it. A Major of the Dragon Spirit Squad could be even more powerful than a General in a regular military region, since the Dragon Spirit Squad was the best of the best in Huaxia.
“Nothing is impossible. Now I command you to go back home and have a rest in the name of a superior officer. Wait until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to continue the investigation.”
“Madam, what is the matter on earth?” The policeman beside Tang Airou looked doubtful at w.a.n.g Feng.
He had met w.a.n.g Feng before and knew that he was not a policeman. But it was nonsense for him to command them as a superior officer.
“See it for yourself and you'll get it.” While speaking, Tang Airou pa.s.sed the certificate to him.
Gosh!
Just a quick looking at it made the policeman gasp suddenly. He didn't even dare to take the red booklet but stood up straightly and saluted w.a.n.g Feng. Then he said, “Sir!”
Oh my gosh! Even their director general didn't have the t.i.tle of Major.
“Alright, don't make a fuss. You guys hurry up and take care of this stuff. Then you guys just go back home and have a rest. I'll grant you a two-day leave.”
“Yes, Sir!” The policeman shouted out with joy on his face.
They were so tired these days that they had been thinking about a rest for a long time. But Tang Airou didn't allow them to leave. So, they didn't dare to leave, unless they didn't want the job?
Now that w.a.n.g Feng was a Major, he definitely was qualified to command them to do anything. Because they served the same system anyway.
“I've never thought that you were….”
Tang Airou was deeply shocked to see the red booklet. She thought that w.a.n.g Feng wouldn't dare to forge the certificate, because it was such a serious crime that the one could end up in jail without the chance of being bailed.
And just at that time, she finally thought of what the badge w.a.n.g Feng showed to her was. Their police officer in the police school once showed them the photos of the Dragon Spirit Badge and explained what it stood for.
On account of that Tang Airou was not in the mood of talking with w.a.n.g Feng, she never thought about it. But Thinking back, she remembered that the badge was exactly the same as the one she had seen before. It was the ultimate honor in every soldier's eyes.
It was surprising that w.a.n.g Feng was one of the Dragon Spirit Squad, which was also beyond Tang Airou's imagination.
“Alright, now you see the proof, so I command you to stop investigating now. You can well resume it after having a proper rest.” w.a.n.g Feng said lightly and took back the red booklet.
“You…” Tang Airou couldn't find any words to refute w.a.n.g Feng. He was superior to her, which meant that both she and her father had to obey w.a.n.g Feng's command.
Hearing that w.a.n.g Feng was gonna grant them a leave, the others were so excited as if they had doped the stimulant. It was no more than 10 minutes that they filled up the crater and cleaned up the blood here and there.
“Sir, can we get off our work?” Just at the time, a policeman came up to w.a.n.g Feng and asked him with a salute.
“Alright! Look at your faces. I believe that you guys are so tired. Just go back home and have a rest.” w.a.n.g Feng waved to them and they hurried to scoot without daring to say goodbye to Tang Airou.
“Well, then I just leave as well.” Tang Airou was more than a little angry with that the men she brought here had left all.
With so many files to look over, it was obvious that she couldn't handle it all by herself. Yet she couldn't do anything randomly with this superior officer, w.a.n.g Feng.
How could she dare to challenge w.a.n.g Feng, one of whose words could easily make her unemployed?
