“You're leaving so soon?” When Black Eagle heard that w.a.n.g Feng was about to leave, he was stunned. He had only been there for less than half an hour.
He hadn't even told his brother about w.a.n.g Feng's request, and didn't know whether his brother would agree with him.
He certainly couldn't let w.a.n.g Feng go if his brother didn't agree.
And the Dragon Spirit Squad was the most powerful troop in Huaxia. People who left there could see endless benefits. w.a.n.g Feng was the first one that came and went away so quickly.
Was the Dragon Spirit Squad really that bad? They couldn't even make a guy stay there.
“We had an agreement before. I have become a Dragon Spirit Squad member in name. Do you want me to have dinner here?” w.a.n.g Feng looked at Black Eagle.
“All right. Wait a minute, I need to ask my brother.” Black Eagle directly turned around and went to get his brother. The rest of the members including Dongfang Yu'er walked towards him at that time.
They were reluctant to see w.a.n.g Feng leave. After all, they had been through a battle of life and death together. Now that w.a.n.g Feng was leaving, they couldn't fight with him anymore.
They had so many things to do as members of the Dragon Spirit Squad. The reason why they could all become parts of the Dragon Spirit Squad was because w.a.n.g Feng had offered a great help to them. They hadn't even returned him the favor.
“Do you really want to go?” Dongfang Yu'er asked. She didn't want him to go. Although she wanted to stay with w.a.n.g Feng, she couldn't give up being a part of the Dragon Spirit Squad because she had been fighting for it for her entire life.
She was in such a dilemma because she wanted w.a.n.g Feng to stay.
But what w.a.n.g Feng said next completely made her lose her hope. “Yes, I'll be out of here soon. If it weren't for you guys, I wouldn't be here. So you must keep training when I'm gone, I may need your help in the future.”
“Don't worry, Captain. As long as you need us, we won't turn you down.” A young soldier said in a serious tone.
They were worried that they wouldn't have a chance to return the favor to w.a.n.g Feng. If w.a.n.g Feng really needed their help, they would do anything to help him.
“That's a relief,” w.a.n.g Feng said, smiling and not doubting his words. They were all survivors of the war, so they had a feeling that went beyond what regular soldiers felt.
If w.a.n.g Feng was in trouble, they would help. And if they were in trouble, w.a.n.g Feng would do the same thing.
“We fought so hard to win this opportunity, so I hope that next time when I see you, you have become warriors who have reached the Internal Strength,” w.a.n.g Feng said with a relaxed tone, but the others nodded solemnly. They had taken it seriously.
They would be the worst warriors in the Dragon Spirit Squad with only External Strength. Even if w.a.n.g Feng didn't say that, they would make every effort to improve their own strength.
w.a.n.g Feng had reached his Internal Strength ahead of them, and they would have had to catch up. They would be humiliated if they were left behind.
“Will you stay in the city where you lived?” asked Dongfang Yu'er with her blushing face.
“This… ” Seeing her like this, w.a.n.g Feng knew what she was up to. If nothing had happened, he really wouldn't have left Zhu Hai City. After all, his business was there. And he and Bei Yunxue met each other in Zhu Hai City. He didn't want to leave that place.
“Just tell me. Do you want to go back home?” Seeing w.a.n.g Feng's hesitation, Dongfang Yu'er asked him again.
“Yeah, maybe,” said w.a.n.g Feng. Actually, he didn't know how to answer her because she seemed to like him and didn't want him to leave. But when he saw Black Eagle coming toward them, he waved to Black Eagle and walked toward him.
“Am I free to go?” w.a.n.g Feng asked as he approached Black Eagle.
“Whether you can go or not is not up to me, you'd better go to meet my brother first.” Black Eagle claimed that he didn't have the right.
He did agree with w.a.n.g Feng's conditions before getting him into the Dragon Spirit Squad. Since w.a.n.g Feng was leaving, he couldn't just let him go.
Of course, he wasn't sure what his brother meant when he went to ask him, so he told w.a.n.g Feng to be careful and then walked away.
“d.a.m.n it.”
When w.a.n.g Feng saw Black Eagle's face, he immediately realized that something had changed. The guy must have tricked him.
Entering the office, w.a.n.g Feng saw the man in black who was covered with a black robe. w.a.n.g Feng didn't know what he looked like, but he filled w.a.n.g Feng with a sense of awe as if there was nothing to hide while he was standing in front of him.
“Do you really want to leave?” asked the man in black faintly, as he saw w.a.n.g Feng enter the room.
“Yeah, I don't think I'll live here. Black Eagle promised me that I could leave,” w.a.n.g Feng said without holding back.
He wouldn't stay there anyway. If they wouldn't let him go, he could just quit being part of the Dragon Spirit Squad. Some people might believe that the Squad was synonymous with power and mystery. As for w.a.n.g Feng, it was rather like an invisible cage.
It was better to stay in a wonderful city with people he loved by his side.
“You want to go, fine. But before you go you must agree with my condition.” The man in black spoke, leaving w.a.n.g Feng stunned.
So, he was going to let him go so easily? Even w.a.n.g Feng was wondering if he had misheard him.
“What condition?” w.a.n.g Feng asked.
“It's very simple. You have to join at least three missions a year. If you can't, you won't be able to leave today,” the man in black said casually. w.a.n.g Feng sighed with relief after hearing what he said.
Three missions were not difficult. w.a.n.g Feng could accept it as long as it didn't exceed 30 missions. He would probably be the first man who had that privilege.
He had the privilege of protecting himself from dying with only three missions a year. It was almost impossible to find a job like that.
Moreover, there were plenty of other perks for a member of the Dragon Spirit Squad. w.a.n.g Feng could enjoy all of them with only joining three missions a year.
Without thinking too much, w.a.n.g Feng said, “Okay, I'll do it. But I also want it to be no more than ten times a year. I don't want my normal life to be affected.”
“All right, deal.” The man in black reached out his hand with a badge, which was a symbol of the Dragon Spirit Squad. Anyone who had that kind of badge could have absolute power in Huaxia.
It would have taken at least six months for a recruit to receive that badge; since w.a.n.g Feng was leaving, he had to give it to him in advance.
w.a.n.g Feng's Super Vision power was too special. They couldn't get another talent like him in the Huaxia region. If they forced him to stay there, it would only cause both of them to be unhappy. So it would be better to let him go.
As the old saying goes, you can't twist one's arm.
The man in black was thinking that it would be enough for at least three chances. The members of their squad wouldn't get hurt at some regular missions because they also had power themselves. He could call w.a.n.g Feng to partic.i.p.ate only when it was necessary at some major battles.
With w.a.n.g Feng there, there would be fewer casualties. He would be able to see through everything from a few hundred meters away, it would be impossible for the enemy to hide from them. w.a.n.g Feng's power would be their best card at hand.
The man in black had completely thought it through, so letting w.a.n.g Feng go might be one of the options. The fewer people knew about his Super Vision power, the better. If they asked w.a.n.g Feng to join every mission and beat the enemies, the enemies might sense something. If they did, w.a.n.g Feng would be in trouble.
“Thank you.” After taking the badge which symbolized the Dragon Spirit Squad, w.a.n.g Feng took a closer look and was surprised to see that he could not tell what the material it was made of.
“It's made of an alloy, a new material our country has just developed not long ago. The News have not been released yet. This is an alloy that is used in aeros.p.a.ce.”
“That's awesome.” w.a.n.g Feng was surprised to hear his words.
The Dragon Spirit Squad could even use something that had not gone public yet. It was indeed an army with such a powerful background.
“Aren't you going to have a closer look at our troop before you go?” The man in black suddenly asked.
“It's okay. You won't leave here anyway. I'll come back if I want to see.” w.a.n.g Feng was eager to return to Zhu Hai City. He couldn't bear to stay one more minute there. Nothing could compare to Sister Xue.
He was like her beloved guardian who only wanted to keep her safe.
“By the way, have you ever flown with a fighter?”
“No,” w.a.n.g Feng replied, shaking his head in wonder.
“Then I'll send you home in a fighter jet,” said the man in black, making w.a.n.g Feng feel amazed. He never heard that a fighter could be used to send people home.
Fighters were used for military battles.
“Isn't that a bit odd?” w.a.n.g Feng said hesitantly.
“There's nothing wrong with it. Our fighters are not under anyone's control. We can use them to go anywhere we want. Just tell me whether you want to take it or not.” said the man in black. w.a.n.g Feng was dumbfounded when he heard that. Was it really necessary to send him back home in a fighter plane?
That was such a great treatment. At least he had never heard of something similar.
He had only seen a fighter in movies in the past. He saw it once in reality when they were fighting in the forest before.
So, he was indeed curious about fighter planes, which were said to be much faster than a normal aircraft.
“Okay, I'll take it.” w.a.n.g Feng agreed. He had never flown in a fighter plane, so he had to have a try.
