She checked her phone, and the caller was from Walker's high school.

"h.e.l.lo, Mrs. Hamilton I'm the secretary of the princ.i.p.al of Granite Hills High school," said the secretary

"Is there is any problem?" Sophia asked

"the Princ.i.p.al wants to meet with you," said the secretary

"meet me? for what," Sophia said

"it's about Walker," said the secretary

"could you tell me now," Sophia said

"it's not accurate to explain it in a phone call," said the secretary

"Ok, when should I arrive," Sophia said

"Tomorrow 10 AM," said the secretary

"Okay I will be there," Sophia responded

After ending the call, Sophia felt that there was something amiss with the upcoming meeting but decided to brush it off and hope that there was nothing wrong.

The Next Morning...

Sophia woke up and found that the breakfast already prepared, but Walker wasn't around.

She was sad because Walker was going to his training early to avoid awkwardness between them.

She was hoping that he changes his mind about playing basketball because she was worried that what happened to his father will happen to him.

As the days go by, she found out that her son was stubborn like his father when he put something in his mind he will do it no matter what.

Sophia also found that Walker quit his part-time job to focus on basketball.

Seeing how her son put everything on the line for what he loved and his determination reminded her of Walker's dad and the reason she loved him to begin with.

After going back and forth with herself, she decided that her son need her support and that she would do whatever it takes to help Walker reaches his dream.

Sophia ate her breakfast then went to the meeting with the Princ.i.p.al.

At Granite Hills High school.

Sophia arrived at the school, she parked her car in the parking near the school.

She headed towards the princ.i.p.al office for the meeting.

"h.e.l.lo, I'm Mrs.Hamilton, and I have an appointment with the princ.i.p.al," Sophia said to the secretary.

"h.e.l.lo, Mrs.Hamilton, the princ.i.p.al is waiting for you," said the secretary

the secretary opened the door and said: "Mr. Andrew Walker's mom is here."

"Okay you could go close the door behind you," Andrew said

"Mrs.Hamilton please take a seat, Coffee?" Andrew added

"No, thank you could we just be direct and not beat around the bush," Sophia responded

"Okay then the reason for this meeting is about your son scholarship," Andrew said directly

"What is the problem with my son's scholarship," asked Sophia with stress on her voice because she already guessed where this conversation is going.

"the school decided to withdraw the scholarship of your son," said Mr. Andrew

"what is the reason for the withdraw of the scholarship that he earned," said Sophia

"the scholarship that your son earn was a sports scholarship since he got injured and didn't play with the team the past year the school board decided to withdraw the scholarship," said Mr. Andrew

"Why now, why didn't you withdraw the scholarship when he got injured?" asked Sophia with uneasiness written all over herself

"they want to give him a chance to get back before making a decision," said Mr. Andrew

"do you think I am stupid or something if you want to withdraw the scholarship you would have done it a long time ago not until he recovered and want to come back to the team, so please tell me the real reason of the withdraw of the scholarship," said Sophia with an angry tone.

"And If what you say is the truth then you were waiting for Walker to recover before withdrawing the scholarship and that will create a bad image for the school."

"And I don't think that you will put the reputation of your school on the line this easy," Sophia Added

Mr. Andrews was baffled of how attentive Sophia was, at first wants to tell her that the school board was responsible for the withdraw of the scholarship, to avoid unnecessary trouble but since she discovered his plan it's better to be upfront with her.

"The decision of the withdraw of the scholarship was of the school board because the coach wants a new player to join the team, and all the scholarship spots were full so, he decided on withdrawing Walker's scholarship because of all the players of use for him," said Mr. Andrews

"So, It was the coach decision, and if the coach decided that he want walker back on the team then his scholarship will be back," asked Sophia with hope in her eyes

"I don't think that possible because the withdrawal was already decided and the spot already filled with the new player," said Mr. Andrews

Then why did you call me here since the decision already made, "said Sophia

"I know that the withdrawal was unfair that why the school will offer walker a 20% off the tuition for the next semester, " said Mr.Andrews

"Okay, but what about the basketball team is his spot secure or not," Sophia asked

Sophia, she didn't agree with their decision, but after all, they were a private school they value profit more than sympathy, and she is willing to sacrifice for her son's dream because she knows that her son needs the facilities provided for the basketball team to improve.

"Coach P who make the decision for the basketball team you could talk to him if your son still has a spot in the basketball team the offer will stay the same," said Mr.Andrews

"Do you Have Coach P Number?" said Sophia

"yes, here is his number," Mr.Andrews pas a piece of paper with Coach P's number to Sophia.

After he gave her the number, the meeting ended.

When Sophia went out of school, then she tried calling Coach P, but n.o.body answered the phone.

She a.s.sumed that he is busy to answer the call, and decided to try again once she arrived home.
