Chapter 5: Danger! The Woman from the Foot of Mountain!
At Tianyuan mountain range, Mount G.o.d of Heaven.
At the foot of the mountain, a woman in green was hobbling up the mountain.
She was Yu Sisi, who had escaped from the men in black earlier.
“I must not die here. I still need to take revenge!”
Yu Sisi’s face was pale and her lips were tightly pressed. Her beautiful willow-leaf-like eyebrows wrinkled. She was seriously injured. The wound on her calf was bleeding uncontrollably.
Although it had been bandaged many times, the spiritual fluctuation on the dart had been suppressing the wound.
It seemed that the dart had been specially forged, and it was able to prevent the wound from healing.
When she thought of those enemies, Yu Sisi’s heart was filled with endless hatred.
After a while, Yu Sisi finally saw her target.
She raised her head and looked suspiciously at this strange mountain.
Previously, she had already crossed a mountain, but now she saw an higher one.
There were skies above skies, and mountains beyond mountains.
Enduring the pain, Yu Sisi made up her mind and walked towards the Mount G.o.d of Heaven.
Even though she knew that there was something wrong with this mountain, she was caught in the situation which there was no way to escape with her injuries.
However, when she thought of that terrifying figure from last night, Yu Sisi only had one thought in her mind. No matter what price she had to pay to find that expert in the mountain, she would do it as long as she could take revenge.
Nevertheless, the mountain in front of her was so vast. How could she find that expert?
With hatred, bewilderment, and confusion, Yu Sisi slowly walked up the mountain.
Not long after Yu Sisi left, a group of men in black stopped at the foot of Mount G.o.d of Heaven one after another.
“Big Brother, we have thoroughly searched the surroundings. There is no trace of anyone pa.s.sing by!” A group of people got down on one knee and reported respectfully to the man standing before them with a touch of trepidation.
A strong wind blew off the hood of the Big Brother. His name was Feng Biao. He was a middle-aged man with a centipede-like scar on his right face. Even a simple smile could make him look horrible because when he smiled, the “centipede” became as if it were wriggling on his face.
“What mountain is this?” Feng Biao looked at the tall mountain in front of him and asked.
Hearing the Big Brother’s question, the other men in black looked at each other in bewilderment.
Then, one of them took out a sheepskin scroll and opened it on the ground. He pointed at the location on the map and said.
“We just came over from Qingyan Valley. Under normal circ.u.mstance, there should be a stream in front of us. However, we didn’t see the stream. Instead, a mountain appeared out of thin air.” One of the men in black pointed at the map and and a.n.a.lyzed.
After listening to his subordinate’s opinion, Feng Biao also felt that something was wrong.
He even wanted to turn back immediately. This thought immediately took root and sprouted.
He was able to live until today because of his intelligence and meticulousness. Otherwise, those battles of the past would not leave the scar on his face, they would take his head.
Just as Feng Biao was about to give the order to retreat, he heard a cry from one of his subordinates. “Big Brother, there’s blood stain!”
One of his subordinates pointed to a patch of gra.s.s not far ahead.
Feng Biao looked in the direction of his subordinate. Sure enough, there was a bright red patch not far away.
He walked straight over and picked up a broken branch.
The trace was still very fresh!
In other words, Yu Sisi had just left not long ago. When he thought of this, Feng Biao’s heart began to waver.
Yu Sisi had a huge secret on her. If he could capture her and bring her back, the great elder would reward him. Perhaps he could have a chance to know that secret.
His future must be in his own hands.
Having made up his mind, Feng Biao no longer hesitated.
“If this girl is really on this mountain, we have to go up as well. Zhang Shan, go back and report to the great elder. The rest of you, follow me!”
With Feng Biao’s order, the group split into two and left quickly.
…
On the peak of Mount G.o.d of Heaven, in the courtyard, Jiang Yun was lying on the rattan chair, slowly swaying.
He was holding a long bristlegra.s.s in his hand and as he was swaying, the gra.s.s also kept swaying along.
Beside him, a leopard cat with many rosettelike markings on its body was continuously chasing after the gra.s.s.
The little leopard cat’s eyes were filled with dissatisfaction.
No matter how hard it tried, it could not catch the gra.s.s in front of it.
Every time, it was just a little bit away from it.
After jumping up and down for a long time, it got tired and lay on the ground panting.
On the branches above its head, the two antennae on the jade b.u.t.terfly’s head were constantly swinging, releasing an invisible spiritual fluctuation.
Including Jiang Yun, the date tree and the little leopard cat both sensed the happy mood.
This little leopard cat was brought by the jade b.u.t.terfly yesterday.
To be precise, it was the little guy which ran after the jade b.u.t.terfly and stayed.
As expected of a cat, its curious nature could not be hidden.
As soon as it ran into the courtyard and saw the date tree, it jumped up the tree and wanted to pick some red dates.
Unfortunately, the branch of the big date tree, coupled with the jade b.u.t.terfly’s mental interference, the little leopard cat did not succeed.
Seeing such a cute little cat, Jiang Yun immediately thought of the dragon-li cat that he had raised in his previous life.
Since it was fated, he conveniently gave it a bloodline evolution.
Just like the jade b.u.t.terfly, after becoming a magical beast, it refused to leave.
The leopard cat, who had rested for a while, sensed the jade b.u.t.terfly’s emotions. It got into position, lowered its body, and was about to jump onto the tree.
At this moment, the leopard cat suddenly stopped moving and turned its head to look down the mountain. Its nose twitched slightly, as if it had smelled something.
Seeing the leopard cat’s abnormal behavior, Jiang Yun knew that something was approaching him.
Unfortunately, the other party had not entered the range of his halo yet, so he had no way of knowing what was approaching him.
Jiang Yun waved his hand.
The little leopard cat had not run far before it appeared in Jiang Yun’s arms.
Gently stroking the little leopard cat, Jiang Yun once again swayed and lay on the rattan chair.
It was better not to let this little fellow out. If he encountered any danger that exceeded the scope of his halo, the situation would be difficult to handle.
Suddenly, Jiang Yun frowned.
A woman in green appeared.
No wonder the little fellow would suddenly dash out. It smelled blood.
A woman who was seriously injured. From her physical condition, she should not be able to hold on anymore!
But she was actually able to hold on.
Then, from her eyes filled with hatred, Jiang Yun knew why she could hold on till now.
However, should I help her?
Just as Jiang Yun was hesitating, Yu Sisi’s gaze pa.s.sed through the wide open courtyard door in the distance and saw Jiang Yun lying on the rattan chair.
There was actually someone living on the top of the mountain?
Suddenly, she thought of the horrendous battle that happened the night before last.
Then, her eyes were filled with joy.
She could be saved!
So, she ran forward desperately and walked to the door. Suddenly, her body seemed to be frozen in place, unable to move.
