Chapter 11 - Celestial pill (1)

Ji Xiaoli felt grateful to him for giving her such a precious gift and wanted to return the favor.  "Oh yes, I also have a gift for you!"

When His Highness, the 'tearful' Sixth Prince heard that he would be receiving a gift in return, he felt a little comforted.  He took a breath and humphed.

A heavy sachet was placed in his hand.

Murong Song raised his eyebrows and asked with joy.  "What is inside?  Gold, silver or precious gems?"

"Of course not!"  The girl who wanted to cultivated into a fairy gave him a disdainful look and said.  "Inside the sachet are the thunderbolt pellets I made!"

"Thunderbolt pellets?"

"Yes, and they are very powerful!  In this world, I am the only one who can refine this!  Always carry this with you and if you are in danger, just throw out a pellet.  It can save your life!"  Xiaoli said seriously.  "Keep them safe!"

Murong Song was stunned.

Ji Xiaoli also felt very happy.

While he was laughing, he took out a pellet from the brocade sachet and playfully tossed it up and down in his hand.  After a tossing a few times, suddenly, there was a sound 'puchi……' and the pellet…….exploded!

Fortunately for the Sixth Prince, the pellet he was playing with, was a dummy pellet.  It only exploded into a yellow smoke and did not hurt his beautiful face.

However, after the smoke had cleared, the earthy yellow color on the face of the Sixth Prince blended with his clothes of dazzling golden yellow color as one color.

Xiaoli quickly went up to him and fan her sleeves fiercely to help clear the air.  Showing deep concern, she reproached.  "I told you to keep it safe, keep it safe!…….   Look at you now!  This can't be washed off!  Don't wipe it!  Come, let me help you!"

The Sixth Prince who was using his sleeves to wipe his face slowly dropped his hands with a stiff expression.  His mouth twitched and he glared at her.

Then he saw her take out a pellet of similar shape from the brocade sachet at her waist and lifted her hand to throw it at his face……..

"You dare? ! ! !"  His Highness, the dazzling golden Sixth Prince roared angrily and the small Zhu Xing Courtyard shook.

Ji Xiaoli understood his grief at the loss of a thunderbolt pellet and gently comforted him.  "This pellet is specially concocted and it is in harmony with the thunderbolt pellets.  Just let me throw this at your face and it will be cleaned!"

"Get lost!"  The dazzling golden Sixth Prince roared angrily, destroying whatever image he had left.

"Alright, alright…..don't move around so much!  What if I miss the target?…….  Aiya, don't run off!   Miss!…….Come back……Miss!……."

Originally, His Highness, the Sixth Prince had wanted to trick her into eating that powerful laxative pill and watch happily as she disgraces herself.  But before he could trick her to eat the pill, he had to return to the palace hiding his crying face.

Ji Xiaoli felt worried for him for a short while……but it was only for a short while before she quickly threw the matter to the back of her mind.

Then carrying the box of precious pills, she went to Guan Xing Pavilion excitedly.

Yesterday, her Shifu fought with someone referred to as 'His Highness' and probably, her Shifu lost.  Now her Shifu, the old man, must be feeling very upset and he even refused to leave his room.

At that time, the house was in a mess and the door was in smithereens.  Shifu hid inside the room and refused to see anyone.  The old Housekeeper rushed to the scene and after listening to the report whispered into his ear by Xiao Tian, he looked at her the same way as he had done when he fell from the carriage at that time.  After staring at her for a long while, he sighed deeply in sadness.

Later, the old Housekeeper instructed her not to provoke Lord Guoshi and also sent Xiao Tian to stand guard below Guan Xing Pavilion to prevent anyone from entering.

Ji Xiaoli understood in her heart that her Shifu must have suffered a miserable loss in the fight.  Whenever Ji Bei lost a fight with Ji Xi, Ji Bei would act the same way too.  He would hide and refuse to see anyone for a few days.

What she does not understand is……..her Shifu is a fairy and he actually lost to a mortal?

There can only be one reason and it was she had taken away his celestial energy yesterday!

All along the way to Guan Xing Pavilion, Ji Xiaoli was filled with guilt.

As she walked up the stairs to Guan Xing Pavilion holding on to the railings for support, Chen Yubai had already sensed her presence but he did not intend to acknowledge her.

The refreshing presence soon arrived and it was getting closer and closer…….  Chen Yubai opened his eyes coldly and using his most terrifying and gloomiest gaze, he glared at her.

Ji Xiaoli shivered and then she cautiously comforted him.  "Shifu, don't feel too upset…….or else……or else, I can get Ji Xi and Ji Bei and tell them to beat up that whatever Highness, alright?"

The most terrifying and the gloomiest eyes…….closed.

With his eyes closed, Chen Yubai said in a cold voice.  "No need.   Leave."

No need…….to leave?

Ji Xiaoli felt very happy and ran over to him.

She knelt in front of the couch and carefully took out a pill from the box in her arms.  She stretched out her hand and very quickly stuffed the pill into the closed mouth of her Shifu.

In his 20 years of life, even though the poor Lord Guoshi was very close to his Shifu, his Shifu would never touch him recklessly.  Not to mention the vast majority of people who keep far away from him due to his cold icy stares and even the wind that blew on his sleeves also did not dare to contaminate him.

For a person who never allowed anyone to come near him for 20 years, he was not even prepared for it and she had managed to come close to him numerous times, again and again.

Yesterday, he was rubbed on his body and now a little sweet pill was stuffed into his mouth!

His hands stiffened and then quickly he took out a black silk handkerchief with gold-threaded embroidery of auspicious cloud patterns to spit out the pill.

But the pill had melted instantly in his mouth and a sweet taste spread out on his tongue.

His slender fingers slowly clenched with force and there was an ice-cold expression on Lord Guoshi's face showing murderous intent.

He cannot wait to investigate the truth!…….  He is going to kill her now!

Kill……her……now ! ! !

So what if he is defying Heaven's will?  In this world, the people he cares about and the people who care about him are all gone.  If he is to live for 10 years or another 100 years, all he can do is just watch the world go through changes.

Kill…….her! ! !

Chen Yubai's pair of black gloomy eyes revealed an intense killing aura and the young Lord Guoshi slowly raised his hand.

"Shifu.….."  Ji Xiaoli also felt that something was wrong and she called out timidly to him.

A light flashed in his eyes and his palm hit out at her.  In his anger, his qi and blood started to surge and an unusual heat rose in his lower abdomen.  His hand paused in mid-air and then slammed into emptiness.

Originally, Ji Xiaoli thought he was going to hit her but when she saw him suddenly dropping his hands, she felt confused.

"Shifu, what is the matter?"  She leaned forward and asked with concern.

Her Shifu's handsome face 'that was unlike a mortal' slowly revealed two red spots like the immortal phoenix flower at first bloom and they seemed to be floating on white jade as the color slowly deepened.  He looked so beautiful that she was unable to move her eyes away.

She remained close to him and stared at her beautiful Shifu without blinking.

Chen Yubai was frowning slightly with his head lowered as he gathered his energy to suppress the strange churning hot wave.

His strong internal energy was distributed through the bloodstream to all the meridians in his body but did not encounter any blockage.

That means the pill is not poisonous otherwise it will not be impossible for him to force it out of his body.

He looked up at the little face that was leaning close to him.  His temples began to sweat slightly and his tone became colder.  "Who gave these medicinal pills to you?"

"It is…..that pretty girl who came with the Highness yesterday….."

Chen Yubai shut his eyes.

Mu…..rong…….Song!

The churning in his lower abdomen was getting more intense and his breathing became chaotic.

Suddenly, his face became hot…….a gentle hand touched him……..

A fragrance from the sleeve of the girl filled his nose…….it was a light soft fragrance……without any special spices.  It was like the wind in the mountains, clean, natural and refreshing……

Chen Yubai's mind was in a mess and he inhaled.

The breath settled in his chest and made him excited.

"Shifu, you are feverish!"  The frightened girl's voice sounded very sweet.  "Is the celestial pill too useful or completely useless?  Is Shifu going to break through the meridians or is Shifu losing control of yourself?"
Chen Yubai opened his eyes and there was a layer of thin mist over his pair of black eyes.

"Ji Xiaoli……."  He asked.  "He told you that these are celestial pills but have you taken any?"

"Not yet."  Ji Xiaoli shook her head and replied honestly with feelings of regret.  "Yesterday, Shifu's celestial energy was absorbed by me, so Shifu should take it first!"

Although it is something very important to her…….she should let him have it first!

She was kneeling in front of his couch with a sincere look.

Even though Chen Yubai was in a difficult situation, he was still able to a.n.a.lyze clearly.

This can be considered as the first time he is looking at a person so close-up.

A little one…….white and pinkish…….just like a delicious little dim-sum and if one takes a bite, it should be the kind with a good taste.

By now, the crazy churning feeling had spread from his lower abdomen to his entire body and his mind was already in a mess.

He felt that it was only just minor chaos without the need for much effort to settle but when he woke up a little later, he found that the little dim-sum was already in his arms.

The soft fragrant body of the girl was held tightly in his arms and even if more strength was exerted, it was still not enough.  His nose was filled with the fresh wind of the mountains and the heat in his body was soothed by the gentleness.  Even though he forcefully suppressed the effects of the strange drug in his body, he still could not deny the comfort he felt as he hugged her in his arms at this moment.

If Ji Xiaoli was not about to faint due to being hug tightly, she would certainly be able to hear the sound of her Shifu's heart beating furiously as her Shifu stuck tightly to her chest.

It was a pity that she could not breathe and she was in a lot of pain at this time, so all her sober and rational thoughts were concentrated on just one thing…….

Such an abundance of celestial energy!  All must come to me!

In the cold and desolate Guoshi Residence, it was a long and quiet ordinary afternoon.

The round-faced boy was dozing off under the verandah and the table under the window was printed with sunlight forming a pattern from the lattice of the window.  The thin ice silk curtain embroidered with auspicious cloud patterns with gold threads was half rolled up.  Lying on the couch, the young man in a black robe was tightly hugging the little girl who was absorbing his celestial energy.

This quiet scene was abruptly ended by Lord Guoshi when he let out an anxious gasp and waved his sleeve.  Ji Xiaoli was suddenly released and flung on the ground.

The little girl who had absorbed a body full of celestial energy felt grateful and did not mind.  She deftly climbed up and thanked the person on the couch whose chest was heaving.

"Thanks to Shifu!"

With his head lowered and his eyes shut, the man tightened his thin lips that were trembling slightly.
