operator: 911, what is your emergency?
caller: There is a girl in the middle of the street who just got hit by a car.
operator: What is her current status?
caller: She is motionless, her breathing is very shallow, and she is bleeding a lot.
operator: Okay sir, to help us out. Please remain calm at all times. What is your current location?
caller: My current location is M street.
operator: Alright, I have sent an ambulance towards your location. By any chance, do you know this girl?
caller: No I do not. But I have seen her before.
operator: And where have you seen her?
caller: Normally walking to school. I'm guessing she is a college student.
operator: I see. We will investigate more once we get her ID. The ambulance should be there right now.
caller: Yes, they just got here and are taking the girl already.
operator: One more question. Do you know who caused this accident?
caller: .... No I do not. But it seems as if they had no intention on saving her.
operator: Alright. Thank you for the information. Have a nice day. *ends call*

*gasp*
Groaning in pain, I slowly open my eyes. I was in a room that was completely white. I slowly lift up my body from the bed, but before I was half way up I sharp pain travels my entire body. Screaming in pain, I lay back down and try my best to control my sudden hard breathing.
The last thing I remember was getting hit by a car mercilessly. I was left on the road to bleed out. I'm guessing someone took notice and sent help. But... this room didn't seem to belong to a hospital... more like... a hideout? A mansion? I'm not too sure.
The sounds of approaching footsteps made me tense up badly. I was scared. Scared that I might have been held captive after being fixed. As the door open, I did not dare to look at the person who walked into the room.
"I see you are awake." A male said with a somewhat of a cold tone.
I remained quiet.
"And you also hurted yourself huh? I heard you scream." He said as he slowly walked up to me. "You are just starting your recovery from surgery. So be patient."
Giving him a side look, I still remained quiet. He seemed young. He had black hair, golden brown eyes, and was fairly pale like I was. He had very strong features, enough to make any girl fall for him.
"... who are you?" I asked quietly.
" A friend. A foe. A savior. A lover. A killer. I don't know, you pick." He said.
"I didn't ask for a t.i.tle, I'm asking for a name."
"Hehe, sheesh. I'm Reaper Yatsu."
"... you're an Ak.u.ma?..."
"Can you sense it? Yes I am, Jewel. But an unclaimed one."
"How do you know my name?"
"Well, I was the one who received you after surgery."
"But why?"
"Due to the doctors and surgeons not able to help with your injury. You have multiple fractures and your nervous system is unstable."
"....but--"
"They p.r.o.nounced you dead, kid. Can't you see? Every one you ever knew and loved thinks you are dead!"
"....wh That can't be!"
"Oh, well it is. The minute you step out of this place will be your new path of life. You will be starting all over again. By the way, where is your family?"
"... I dont know."
"What do you mean by 'i dont know'?"
"Exactly what I mean! I was separated from my family for an unknown reason. I haven't seen them for many years now."
"Hm, so sad. Well, rest up. By maybe tomorrow, you'll be able to stand up."
"How is that possible??"
"Well, I am giving you a special kind of care. I am slowly healing you. Your welcome." Reaper smirks small before turning around and walking out the room, closing the door behind him.
p.r.o.nounced dead??!! I'm dead in the peoples eyes!! Start a new life?? That is going to be hard. But a huge advantage. That way, I would be able to find out why I-- no why the old Jewel was separated from her family. I want to leave this place as soon as possible. And for that to happen, I need to help with the recovery by sleeping. And taking things slow of course.
Closing my eyes, I let out a small sigh before sleep takes over me.
(time: 09:36 a.m.)
*bang!*
The sudden sound of pressure against a wall startled me. Opening my eyes quickly, I glance around the room and see no one. Maybe it was from another room? Or just outside this room? Shortly after, I hear m.u.f.fled screaming as if someone was arguing with another person.
Curiosity devoured me, but my body did not allow me to try to stand up and see what is going on. So, I remained still and very quiet so I can hear what is going on outside the room.
"Look! Just give me time! You'll get what you want in no time!" I heard Reaper say in a harsh tone.
"Well then, I'll give you two more days. If you still fail to accomplish this, then I'll have no choice but to kill your younger sister." A male said coldly.
So, Reaper has a family? And threatening him with his younger sister must be very hard for him. If he is a good person, it must pain him deeply. But... even those that aren't good still have such feeling when it comes to family right?
Sighing small, I stare at the ceiling before calling out Reaper's name. Within seconds, Reaper comes in with a gloomy expression.
"Yes?" He asked.
"Is... everything okay?"
"...Yeah. Don't worry!"
"...o.... okay."
"Rest. You'll be fine. I'll make sure of it."
"Alright."
Reaper gives me a small node before leaving the room. Closing me eyes once again, I let sleep to take over my mind.
