A few days pa.s.sed and Gold had completely recovered, he knew what he had to do. He said goodbye to Kain and to Bella and whispered to her that he would be back. He and his three servants traveled around the lands of Goldema, looking for something that would give him the support of the people of Goldema. He got his hands on that unifying point, the Legion of Solar, everyone hated them, the only ones who didn't, were people who got favors from the Legion or were forced to say it. He decided that enough was enough, the time had come for Gold to reveal his real face and defeat the Legion as his real form, Overlord, the Guardian of Goldema.

The four of them found themselves in front of a ma.s.sive fortress standing high in front of them, Gold removed his mask and smashed it in his hand, letting it drop to the floor as the rain crashed around them.

"My lord, are you sure about this?"

"Yes, I am," He said confidently, "They aren't holy, they spread their hate over the lands of Goldema, and twist my father's name, I might not like my father but if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be able to do what is good for this realm, my realm."

"And Nikholas, master?"

"We'll find him one day, he probably knows we are we are by now, he is smart and he should be able to find us when he wants to," Gold took a deep breathe, "This might be the dumbest thing I've ever done, or the greatest thing we'll ever do, for ourselves and for these people, I would have completed my quest and I will finally be able to settle down and rid the world of hate and evil," He held out his hand, "If I can't fight, get me out of there, and run, don't fight, once I recover, a repeat will easily sweep them, but if we can fight, we fight, together."

Blood splattered across the ground as armor shattered and cracked with bits falling to the ground, the men kept fighting, no matter what, none of them turned and fled, they seemed to be controlled by magic. Miia joined in and jumped at the soldiers that Daryu Boros wasn't focused on yet, slashing their throats, snapping their necks and biting their necks. The field was tainted with blood as the archers continued to fire and Daryu Boros as Miia used him as cover. The arrow bounced off pathetically and fell like small leaves onto the floor.

"Tier 4, cast Chain Lightning," Two bolt left Gold's hands and rushed up to the balconies that overlooked the entrance after the gates and jumped from archer to archer with their screams m.u.f.fled by the sound of the pounding rain. They walked forwards into the fortress. Daryu Boros smashed the wooden pillars that held the wooden balconies as they walked forwards, he walked in front with Camille and Miia behind him and followed by Gold. Two heavy steel gates fell locking them in, Daryu Boros roared and shoulder bashed his way through the gate, making it buckle and shatter, opening the path again.

"You three, clear the left wing, I will deal with the right wing, just be careful to not get wiped out, we'll meet up in the middle later, we might have some high tier mages to deal with," They hesitated then nodded and he smashed through the door. Screams erupted from the rooms as Daryu Boros swung his axe wildly, smashing the tables and slicing through the helpless Legion of Solar men and Miia hoped from target to target a.s.sa.s.sinating them. "Tier 7, cast Death Knight," A ball floated towards a dead body and the body rose and violently moved and then formed into a ma.s.sive undead, armored with a twisted blade and a ma.s.sive, rusty, broken shield, "Clear the room," He said as the Death Knight smashed through the door and Gold walked towards the middle of the courtyard. There stood a mage of the Legion of Solar, standing with his arms crossed behind his back and staring dead into the eyes of Gold.

"The death mage, or should I say, Overlord," The mage laughed, "I am Sir Dawnlight, I am the fourth best mage of the Legion of Solar, I am the first line of defense, but there are more mages waiting for you if you ever pa.s.s me, but don't think about it, I will crush you right here, and right now, and rid this world of your unholy presence, you don't hold a candle to my power, you are worthless and powerless, Tier 4, cast Holy Bolt!" A bolt of light flew towards Gold but missed as he dodged to the side.

"Tier 2, cast Grasping Roots," Roots burst through the cobblestone path and extended towards Dawnlight, "Tier 1, cast Fire Ball," A ball of fire left his hand and set the roots on fire as they rushed towards the mage.

"Tier 5, cast Water Soldier, cast Earth Soldier, cast Angelic Warrior," Three elementals sp.a.w.ned and the Water Soldier stopped the burning roots, "Kill him," They rushed towards him. Gold dodged the Earth Soldier's blade and slammed a ball of condensed air into a crack in its head causing it to explode into bits. He formed a ball of lightning in his hand and threw it into the water soldier causing it to collapse. The angel brought its blade down towards Gold, who blocked it with a black blade and slammed it into its chest and it burst into an explosion of light. Gold stared down the mage as he dodged the small tier 1 spells sent towards him and spun, summoning a Hammer of Focused Air and slammed it into the head of the mage, he fell limply to the floor. Gold brought his heel down, over and over again into the man's temple until it cracked, he did it once more and blood exploded from his head.

"Down to h.e.l.l with you, f.u.c.king Legion of Solar," He grit his teeth and continued down the courtyard, towards the other mages. He entered another courtyard and found another mage, "Just lie down and get the h.e.l.l out of my way," Gold said annoyed, "You will die like that other f.u.c.king mage, get out of here and maybe I can let you live."

They stared each other down as the rain battered the ground around them. He sighed and the man began talking, "I, Gregory Thunder of the Legion of Solar, thereby challenge you to a duel, a duel of life and death, you will die by my blade and Goldema will never have to suffer at your hand, and instead, they will flourish under the protection of the Legion of Solar," He said holding out his arms, twirling the blade in the air, "You only live for power, and here you are saying that you protect Goldema, what a joke!"

"And you aren't going to get hurt?! You think I am some sort of joke?!" He pulled his sword and a slash of thunder flew towards him, "Eat this!"

"Tier 6, cast Bolt Shield," A shield of electricity formed on his arm and absorbed the lightning strike, the shield vanished and Gold aimed his arm at Gregory, "Tier 4, cast Dark Bolt, cast Holy Bolt," Two bolts, one light and one dark, flew toward Gregory and slammed into him and sent him flying against the wall, slamming into it and he fell to the floor. He coughed blood and slowly got up.

"You really are weak."

"Tier 6, cast Soul Smite," He pointed at Gregory and a black lightning bolt fell from the sky and struck him, "Your soul goes to the Creator, the real creator, not your twisted, corrupted image that you display, you the Legion of Solar," His body burned and disappeared into the black beam of light and his scream suddenly stopped, "Two down, two to go."

"Master, are you okay?"

"Yes, I am fine, just make sure this stays in one on one duels, and make sure if I fail to get me out of here, I die, you die, I live, you are immortal," He smiled and walked to the next courtyard, "I think I am fine, no matter what, I will try to protect this realm, it might not be mine, but I have reasons to protect it, not just power."
