The leader of the soldier stared at Ye Xiu and sized him up. "What happen with her?" He asked callously.

Their new Emperor, Mo Qin Yi, had issued an order to capture all of them whether alive or death, but he also specified to not touch a single hair of princess of Azura.

From this point, they could say that Prince Xiao Jun's wife held more value in their Emperor's eyes. If something was going to happen now to the woman, their new Emperor probably would give them a death sentence for failed the first order.

The leader of the soldier swiped his sight from the unconscious body in his subordinate's hand to the pool of blood on the ground from her. He didn't know why she kept bleeding, but if this situation was not handled properly, she would be dead because of blood loss.  

Seeing the leader of the soldier became hesitant, Ye Xiu walked forward in big step, approaching Qianru as he glared at the soldier, who was carrying her.

Confused, the soldier took a step back while looking at his leader, asking about what he should do with this.

The leader nodded his head after a while, agreed to Ye Xiu's advance.

If something was going to happen to the woman, it would be better if he had someone else to blame, the new Emperor could punish that man as he wish.

"Let him." The leader of the soldier gestured to his subordinate to give up Qianru to Ye Xiu.

Ye Xiu took Qianru away immediately from the soldier, as he lied down her on the ground he yelled. "Let go of the young maidservant, I need her here, now!" While he said that, he turned around and walked toward the damage carriage and took his acupuncture needles.

Qianru was in critical condition, her condition was worse than the last time. Ye Xiu ran back toward her and Jinse, who was sitting anxiously beside her while holding Qianru's hand.

"What should we do now?" Jinse brushed away the strand of hair from her face harshly, her tiny face covered with dirt and blood, apparently the blade that attached on her neck had grazed her skin, but at this moment the pain was overlapped with tense of the situation.

Ye Xiu took Qianru's hand and checked her pulse and it was very weak, he tried to keep his composure, but it was hard to keep calm in this kind of situation.

"Ask your men to flip back the carriage!" Ye Xiu shouted at the leader. "I need to check her inside!"

Gritting his teeth, the leader was very mad to be ordered by Ye Xiu, but he couldn't refuse. The new Emperor wanted the Princess from Azura to catch alive and he couldn't risk his live and his other men to do otherwise.

"Don't you hear that!?" He swiped his angry eyes at his men. "What are you waiting for!?"

Hastily some of the soldiers moved forward and together they flip the carriage, it didn't take a long time for them to fix the problem.

As soon as the carriage was fixed, Ye Xiu carried Qianru inside with Jinse followed behind them and closed the curtain tightly once the three of them were inside.

They couldn't bring them back to their camp, as they had crossed the border of the Rockstone's Kingdom, it would take a long trip to go back. The leader of the soldier was afraid Qianru wouldn't make it if he decided to not let Ye Xiu checked on her.  

However, before he made up his mind, whether he would let Ye Xiu alive or not, as he said it was only him, who could help the princess from Azura, a commotion was heard.

From the back of the raw of the soldiers, bunches of people dashed toward them with their blade in their hand, pointing at the soldiers, killing them along the way.

The three hundred soldiers didn't aware with this attacked as they were too late to ward off the sharp blade from their opponent.

They didn't know from where these men came from as they only saw them when they had been very close.

Shouted and screamed along with the metal clanking sound, filled the air with blood spurted out from the open wounds of the soldiers and the attackers.

The surprised attack put the border guards in disadvantage as they fell on the ground one by one. It was a chaotic situation, as the attacker didn't let the soldier to arrange their defense.

Inside the broken carriage Jinse was startled by the noise from the outside.

"What is that…?" Her voice was shaking with fear.

"Focus on what you are doing!" Ye Xiu reminded the young maidservant sternly. He knew what it was and felt relief because of that. "Why it takes him so long…" He muttered to himself, annoyed.

In the other hand, Jinse tried hard to keep her focus at the task on her hand while ignoring the creepy noises. Currently, she was wiping the blood from Qianru's lower body as Ye Xiu was putting many acupuncture needles around Qianru's waist. 

At this point, Qianru's white skin had become even paler than a dead body, if it wasn't because her shallow breath, Jinse would have thought she had been dead by now.

The commotion outside continued for long time before it died down and turned to its initial silent, only then someone opened the carriage curtain.

Jinse let out a m.u.f.fled screamed, but when she saw the familiar figure of Qi Xunyi, she hastily covered Qianru's lower body.

In the other hand, Qi Xunyi was also surprised to see Qianru's condition and fortunately didn't aware enough to see what Jinse tried to hide.

"What happen to her?! Is she alright?!" He didn't know why, but he felt his heart skipped a beat to see the scene before his eyes.
