The robe owner turned his face and glared at her. Liena was very disappointed when she saw that face because he was an old man.
Liena bowed down her head to apologize to him. Despite being a princess, she was very courteous.
Observing how polite she was, the old man smiled and nodded at her like it was normal and left.
'As expected'- Liena thought.
She breathed a sigh of relief! It was normal. She expected this result when she was running after that person. She was happy that none of the guards spotted this embarra.s.sing incident.
Because, when Liena was ordering Head guard Ruao Xie and the others to find someone without giving a proper clue, there were reasons behind it. The first reason was, she couldn't find that person alone. She didn't believe she had an illusion. Ruo Xie was an expert martial artist and there were three more so, it was obvious, it would be easier if they spread this area together and searched for that person.
Secondly, she was kind of dishonest! She wanted to shoo them away before she confirmed it on her own.
Besides, the thing she did not mention Ruo Xie was that she was looking for someone who looked exactly like her Brother!
She already stirred up a lot of troubles for her family. So she didn't want to bother them more. She just wanted to make sure it for herself and then tell others. Because she was afraid of people would start calling her lunatic which would hurt her parents more. Thinking of her parents, Liena became a bit of emotion. She knew how much they loved her despite everything happened and never blamed her.
Maybe she did a lot of good deeds in her previous life to be fortunate enough to have them as her parents. So, now she didn't want to trouble them more. The first one she wanted to share if the result was positive apparently would be no one but her parents.
'They must become happy if I am right…' thinking about that, she felt warmth in her heart.
"But how could someone look exactly like her brother! Could it be possible? Then that would be a miracle or magic, Right?"
She nodded her head disapprovingly when she was talking to herself in a low voice. Besides, she did not believe in magic or miracles because if it really existed, then why that unfortunate incident happened in her life? And why people lost their lives in wars?
Princess did not understand anything at all.
As she was engrossed in her perceptions, Princesses didn't realize how much time had pa.s.sed and how much turns she took when she was walking.
More than one hour pa.s.sed but she still could not find that person. Princess finally discerned that she must have her delusions. She should return now. They must be extremely anxious, especially her mother. She'd been outside alone for a long time and had no guards with her so her mother must have already informed the palace, she thought.
She would investigate her doubts later, after returning to the palace.
As she turned around about to leave, she smelled sweet aromas coming out from food stalls. There were at least thirty food stalls near where she was standing. Sheng City was not only famous because of its natural beauty but also for foods. Especially fish dishes since it was a river city. Suddenly her stomach growled very loudly. Seeing how her stomach scandalously rumbled and betrayed her in front of people, Princess' face turned red like a tomato. She felt disgraceful because this surely not happened before. She never walked so much. Even when was in the palace, she'd not strolled for a long time. So it was normal for her to get hungry after that tiring workout.
Some shop owners placed benches in front of their shop to attract customers since it was tourist season. Liena entered a luxurious restaurant. The shop owner, as well as the waiters' eyes, became big. It was not normal for a lady to enter a restaurant without bringing their escort unless they were poor or beggars. Seeing how sophisticated she looked, the waiter who near stood her understood that she might come from a n.o.ble family. She was really an unusual n.o.ble girl-he thought. Despite he had questions going on his mind, he did not have the courage to question her.
So he smilingly greeted to welcome her into his restaurant and gave her the best table to sit. Liena nodded and sat down very elegantly.
She ordered some food from the menu that the waiter suggested and started to eat while looking outside absentmindedly. Suddenly she glimpsed a familiar face.
There was a surprised look in her eyes as well happiness. She stopped eating and paid bills hurriedly and then left the restaurant. The waiter who was serving her was shocked when he saw she paid five gold coins!
He became happy. "Today is surely a good day, we earned a lot," he told the owner and colleagues when giggling.
This time Liena found the right person. Because the person indeed looked like her baby brother. She was about to call out "Brother" but stopped when she looked into that person's eyes.
She had never seen such eyes! They were not only different in colors but unique! Both of them were so beautiful and gifted. It was as G.o.d had created those eyes with his own hands!
One was deep blue like the depth of the ocean when the other was green like the mountain of a forest. It was unbelievably beautiful and mysterious.
Sure it wasn't her brother! Because he was already dead.
But how come some stranger looked so much her brother?
And moreover, that person was a girl.
Liena was confused.
