Chapter 15
It took Mo less than three days to move things into the new house bit by bit. It was unknown who had said that if a woman initiated to become ruthless, even ten cows couldn't pull her back. This time, she had made up her mind to make a clean break with Fu Pei and don't have relationship with him any more.
Firstly, she sent Fu Pei a long text message to calm his heart, saying that she needed a little time to calm down and think about the matter between them. Then she expressed to w.a.n.g Shan that she absolutely didn't want to intervene in Fu Pei and her, hoping that w.a.n.g Shan could cooperate and drag Fu Pei, so that she could move out within the shortest time. They reached an agreement at that point. So under the favorable conditions of time, place and people, she moved into Gu Weiyi's home and became his... servant.
He really made her a servant. It would be ok to cook all the meals, but she even mopped the floor and washed the clothes and dishes. It's not what he told her to do, but he did nothing at all and kept his legs crossed all day. Under the same eaves, she couldn't stand the mess and had to clear away. She was used to taking care of her brothers at home, and didn't care much about gender. So no matter it was underwear or outwear, she just threw them in the laundry basket and washed them, which made Gu Weiyi half mad. It was the second night they had lived together. He came back from outside and saw her hanging clothes on the balcony. At first, he didn't care. He sat on the sofa and chatted with her. Later, he found her take out a pair of men's underwear from the washing machine which looked familiar. It took him a long while to react that it was his, hurried to rushed to take it from her hands, blushed for a long time without saying a word. Mo found his little face red and lovely, she amused him with a few words, which made him so angry that he didn't give her a good look until now.
‘Gu Weiyi, I will start my internship tomorrow. You have to solve the problem of making meals by yourself.' Mo said after washing the dishes while Gu Weiyi was watching TV in the living room.
‘I won't die of hunger.' Gu Weiyi said angrily.
Mo felt a little helpless. She really didn't know what happened to this young man. She had done nothing but washed his underwear, why did he act like that?
She went over and sat down. ‘Well, you can wash your underwear by yourself, okay?'
Gu Weiyi sat up straight and said, ‘Did I say anything?'
‘Then why are you showing your bad face all day long? Are bad faces fashionable?
Gu Weiyi suddenly realized a more important question: ‘Why are you not afraid of me?' He knew that when he had a bad face, it would be really scary, so he usually wouldn't show his emotions easily on his face. His old girlfriend would always make a fuss, but no matter how serious the fuss was, as long as he began to sink down his face, she would come in 30 minutes to apologize and mewl with tearful eyes. However, Situ Mo was different. He had shown his bad face for three days, but just turned a blind eye and smiled the Ao river's lake every day. It's too late for her to ask the reason now. Why not wait until he had been angry to death and sprinkle the loess on his grave?
Mo curled her lips said, ‘You are n.o.body, you would never know how many bad faces I've met in my life. You're a shallow worker.' Mo's family wasn't well off when she was a child, and his father was under great pressure, so he kept a cold face all day. Later, his father became kind, but her elder brother liked to play cool, and kept a cold face all day. Her younger brother often lost his temper because he was the little overlord in his family. Later, when she met Fu Pei, who had a bad temper and a bad face, which had been his sign. The experience over the years had proved that Dad wouldn't laugh because his daughter was afraid, her elder brother wouldn't give up playing cool because his sister was sad, her younger brother wouldn't show a good face when his sister was angry, and it was even harder to count on Fu Pei. So Mo had known early that a person with a bad face couldn't turn his head on his own, it would be useless even if she tried to please her,.
After listened to her words, Gu Weiyi didn't know what to say instead. He would seem to be narrow-minded if he said too much. The most irritating thing in the world was that one had been very angry, but just couldn't find a point to lose his temper.
Mo couldn't get Gu Weiyi's response after waiting for a long time, so she went back to her room straightforwardly.
It was the first day to register in the company, Mo felt uneasy unavoidably. After she had been into the company, her uneasy was soon comforted by uncle Beard.
Uncle Beard was originally named Li Gangtie. He was very proud of his name, thinking that he was a man with iron clang. Therefore, it was stipulated that the whole staff should call him brother Tie.
Brother Tie was the person who took charge of Mo. He arranged her to sit in the innermost corner next to sister Xiaoqing, so that she could consult her at any time. What's more, he would be able to flirt with the sister whenever he came to turn over the tasks to Mo.
Mo's work in the morning was to input some information of the customer into the computer, which was very boring, and completely unrelated to the pa.s.sion of her imaginary as a advertiser. During lunch break, Mo laid on the table to rest. She was awakened by a very quiet laughter. She opened her eyes secretly. From the gap in her arms, she could only see two overlapping feet under the sister's desk. One was men's leather shoes, the other was red high-heeled shoes. She could see that the man was holding the woman in his lap. Mo knew that the high-heeled shoes were the sister's, because she had proudly showed them to her in the morning, but she didn't know whose leather shoes were those. It's not brother Tie's anyway, since he wore slippers to work. Mo didn't expect that she would b.u.mp into such gossip on her first day at work. She was so frightened that she laid on the table motionlessly, and wished that she could merge with the table.
Mo were not relieved until the two people left with each other later. But she still dared not move, lying on the desk waiting for the alarm clock to ring.
In the afternoon, brother Tie still a.s.signed some input work to Mo. She looked at his shoes for several times without any trace. She thought for a while, and presumably figured out what had happened. He had worn slippers in the morning, but in the afternoon, he changed into leather shoes. Although his shoes were the same as those she saw at noon, they were obviously new.
Mo circled her eyes and swallowed her curiosity back. Curiosity might kill cats, she should be patient when necessary.
‘Mo, where did you go at noon?' The sister asked suddenly, ‘I went out for a while and came back to you for dinner, but I couldn't find you.'
‘Where did you go at noon?' Brother Tie rushed to ask before Mo answered.
‘You care too much about me.' The Sister said, holding brother Tie's T-shirt in her hand, with her eyes turning to his feet. ‘Haven't you understand yet?'
Brother Tie smiled and asked Mo, ‘Where did you eat lunch at noon then? Haven't you been familiar with around here?
Mo said, ‘Very familiar. Actually, I live nearby now. I eat in the restaurant downstairs at noon. After eating, I slept at the table.'
Sister let go of her hand that was hanging brother Tie's clothes and said, ‘Take a nap? Isn't it a habit of school days. I've changed it a long time ago. Can you still fall asleep?
Mo laughed and said, ‘Of course I can fall asleep. My nickname is Sleeping G.o.d.'
Brother Tie knocked on the table: ‘Are you finished? Go to work when it's over.'
Mo sat down quickly and began to work. The sister pulled her up and said, ‘Don't pay any attention to him. He's not serious.'
‘Xiaoqing!' Brother Tie's tone is a little harsh.
The sister waved her hand: ‘I know, I know, Mo, let's work.'
Brother Tie slowed down his breath, stretched out his hand and struck the sister's head, but said, ‘You!' Then he said to Mo, ‘Situ, did you major in accounting?'
Mo nodded.
‘Then the things about tax fraud will be left to you.'
‘Ah?' Mo was stunned.
‘Haha, I was kidding you.' Brother Tie patted Mo twice on the shoulder and almost spit out Mo's blood.
Mo and the sister could not find any funny points, so they had to look at each other in dismay. Brother Tie couldn't live up to his dignity. He coughed. ‘Situ, haven't anybody teach you the ethics of the workplace when you just entered the company?'
‘Uh?'
‘Remember to laugh next time when your superior tells a joke,.'
‘...'
Mo returned home at 7 p.m. and took out her bag for a long while at the gate of the door. Then she found out that she had gone out in a hurry in the morning, forgot to bring the key. She pressed the doorbell for a long while but n.o.body opened the door. When she pulled out her cell phone, she suddenly remembered that she didn't even have Gu Weiyi's number. She tried to call their dormitory to ask but was afraid of being answered by Fu Pei. Mo sat on the ground in frustration. She was a little tired and a little sad, just like when she was a child, sitting at the door to wait for her mother from work when she had left school early.
Gu Weiyi came out of the elevator and saw Situ Mo sitting outside the door, rolling up like a shrimp with her head on her knee and her eyes staring at the ground. He didn't know what she was wondering. He called her twice before she came back to her senses. She looked at him blankly and said, ‘I've been waiting for you for a long while.'
He was stunned for several seconds. Today, he had gone back to school. When he was playing basketball, Ak told him that Fu Pei was going to be neurotic. He sat on the balcony with a mobile phone and smoked every day. He ignored everyone. Later, he went to eat with Fu Pei. Fu Pei said, ‘Gu Weiyi, I treat you as my brother, I'll tell you straightly. I can guess that you have a little interest in Mo, and I know that Mo lives with you now. I did something terrible to her. I'm waiting for her to cool down. That's the way how we get along with each other. She would listen to me then, so I advise you to put your mind down. You can't get involved with Mo and me.
But when she looked at him with that kind of eyes and said, ‘I have waited for you for a long time.' His heart collapsed into a ruin. How could he avoid that?
Gu Weiyi took out the key to open the door and said, ‘Situ Mo, couldn't you call me?'
Mo struggled to stand up. ‘I just found out I didn't have your phone number.' She had curled up for too long, her hands and feet were a little numb and unstable, but fortunately Gu Weiyi pulled her in time.
‘How long have you been waiting outside?' He asked as he turned on the light.
Mo looked at her watch and said, ‘About two hours after work at seven o'clock.'
‘Have you eaten yet?' Gu Weiyi walked to the kitchen.
Mo threw himself into the sofa: ‘Yes, I'm really unlucky today to have hit the rape on the first day of work.'
Gu Weiyi took a cup of tea from the kitchen and handed it to Mo. Mo accepted it foolishly, ‘Is this for me?'
He glared at her and said, ‘Drink fast.' When he just pulled her, he found that her hand was very cold. It would be the easiest to catch a cold in the weather of early spring. She had sat at the door and waited foolishly. What if he came back later?
Mo was touched, went up and took a deep breath of tea. Then she held it carefully. It was like wrapping a brown lake around her hand. The steaming slowly smoked her eyes and covered them with a mist of tea.
‘Drink it, what are you stunned about?' Gu Weiyi urged her.
Mo took a sip of tea, the warm tea slipped through the throat from the lips and teeth and into the stomach. Mo saw a circle of words engraved on the teacup. No matter where the sentence was broken, it could become a poem. It could be Real nice refreshing cuppa tea, Nice refreshing cuppa tea real, Refreshing cuppa tea real nice, Cuppa tea real nice refreshing.
She felt it was very talented and wanted to say something. She raised her eyes and b.u.mped into Gu Weiyi's deep eyes, which were light brown. It was so warm that she wanted to sink.
