Although Di Hao looked a little thinner than before, his chubby appearance was not any less appealing. His adorable eyes were just too cute to resist. Gu Xijiu could not help it. “Come. Let me carry the boy.”
She wanted to take the child from Di Fuyi, but he refused. “You are pregnant, so you should not be lifting anything heavy. Let me carry him.” Gu Xijiu was speechless, and so was Di Hao. He was not heavy, to begin with. At most, he was only a few kilograms.
Nonetheless, the family of three was finally able to come together again. Di Hao was awfully delighted. “Prepare the food now. Today’s dishes can be a little more special. I want four sweet ones, four salty ones, three spicy ones, and lastly, three sour ones,” he began to make his orders.
Quickly, he bombarded the servants with a series of dishes before ordering them away. With a smile, Di Fuyi was rather impressed by Di Hao. All of his servants had been trained to be so submissive to his authority even though he was only a boy.
Most importantly, all the dishes that he asked for were Gu Xijiu’s favorites. The boy knew exactly what his mother liked to eat.
Gu Xijiu still thought that Di Hao’s complexion was paler than usual, so she decided to examine his pulse. He seemed to have been involved in a fight, as the signs clearly showed that he was exhausted. “Have you been in a fight recently? How did you exhaust so much of your spiritual power?”
Di Hao hesitated. “Yes. I was unfortunately trapped in a dream a few nights ago, so I must have used up some of my spiritual power at the time.”
Gu Xijiu quickly added, “Speaking of which, I had a dream about you a few nights ago.”
Di Hao looked at her with his bright eyes. “Really? What did you dream about me?”
Troubled, Gu Xijiu honestly could not recall. “I have forgotten it all. Meeting you was the only part that I remember. I cannot remember what the rest of the dream was about.”
Smilingly, Di Hao casually reminded her, “Were we watching a show together?”
Gu Xijiu could somewhat recall that there was indeed a show. However, she could not remember what it was about.
“Hao Er, were you in the same dream with me? What kind of show was it?” Gu Xijiu needed to know more.
Di Hao nonchalantly said, “I do not quite remember. A man was playing a game of chess against someone else on a canoe.”
Some fragmented images flashed by in her mind. She roughly remembered there was something in purple and black. Abruptly, she recalled a man in black. She tried hard to remember, but the images seemed to have been forcibly removed from her head. Just when she tried to recall more, the clue came to a dead end.
In a daze, she remembered that she saw two men playing chess, one in purple robes and another in black. The way they played the game of chess was nothing like she had ever seen, as the strategy was completely different. She remembered that she had learned some of the moves as well. However, she could barely remember their appearances.
All of a sudden, she managed to link the strategy of the game to Di Fuyi’s unique way of crafting the Star Formation.
“Fuyi, where did you learn about the Star Formations?” Gu Xijiu asked bluntly.
As far as she was concerned, most of the former Lords from the earth were uninformed about the detailed placement of a Star Formation. All they knew was to observe the relative movements of the celestial bodies and could only affect the position of one or two stars at most. On the other hand, Di Fuyi could alter the positions of most of the stars and change the whole view in general.
“I learned it myself,” Di Fuyi answered frankly.
“Do you remember anything before you went to earth?”
“Nothing,” he rea.s.sured.
She managed to spark some questions for Di Fuyi. It seemed that he did not have any childhood on earth. All he remembered was his adolescence as soon as he came into existence. Could there by any other ident.i.ties that he possessed?
“Xijiu, has my ident.i.ty got anything to do with your dream? Did you see me there?” Di Fuyi asked the most important question of all.
