The Gatekeeper Chapter 26- Disturbing.

"Yes! I am!"

Nirvana said in a loud voice, which reverberated all around the hall.

This was the wake-up call that helped the men escape their state of daze.

Up until this point, they were solely focusing on the beauties in front of them, unaware of Nex's or my existence.

Nirvana's cheerful voice seemed as if it was a counterattack to the imaginary hypnosis spell cast on the men.

The men surrounding us turned their head in all directions. finally turning in our direction, and noticing me surrounded by 5 effectively peerless beauties. The women in the crowd were entranced by their beauty as well, so when they snapped out of it, they had extremely jealous look on their faces.

"Nirvana, play along with me for now. I'll punish you later."

"Ou~, I forgot! Sorry, Master. I am really, really sorry."

"Just follow my lead from now on, okay?"

"Okay..."

She was clearly regretting her actions, but the current situation was a highly problematic one, I could hear an uproar being carried out in the crowd.

n.o.bles and adventurers turning their attention to me.

As I am now, I couldn't possibly take all of them on without killing them or destroying the dome.

As I was worrying about my surroundings, I heard a voice which seemed unaffected by the surroundings.

"Toru, what does this mean?"

It was Sylvia, her lips were forming a beaming crescent smile, but her eyes were not amused at all, they had a sort of deathly coldness in them.

She spoke as the representative of everyone included in our little discussion, even Nex, who was baffled after Nirvana clearly c.o.c.kblocked him, turned his inquisitive glare towards me.

"She's just an old friend from the village."

Alissa, Celice, Aneeka, and Nex remained ignorant as to my statement while Sylvia had an understanding expression.

"Village destroyed by a dragon. I am a survivor. You are an old friend."

"Understood."

These were the times when I realized that Nirvana really was a dragon. Her intellect was on a different plane than humans, so she instantly understood the meaning and followed up my statement.

"Yes, I met Toru-s *cough* Toru-kun by accident in the capital and he was kind enough to introduce me to this job."

"Oh~ is that so? So he must've known about your abilities that's why he nominated you for the job?"

"Yes, Princess-chan, it is just as you say."

Sylvia had a comprehending look in her eyes, and when urged by others, she told them about me being from the village that was destroyed. All of the ladies had sad look in their eyes, and they snuggled close to me from all sides, this time, Nirvana was also one of them.

"Celice, why are doing this?"

"Peer pressure."

I got a stoic answer from the person who had my left arm buried within her two hills, and above all else, they use the term 'peer pressure' here?

I wanted to retort but I gave up.

"What is happening? Why does that commoner have the five most beautiful women clinging to him? And why was he acknowledged by the Crown Prince? What in the world is happening? I even saw him casually conversing with Great General Bernard Leach-sama."

The one who said this loudly, while amplifying his voice by using wind magic, was a n.o.ble who seemed to be in his early twenties.

"Sewediwan-san?"

The one who revealed his ident.i.ty slowly was the girl who was sticking close to my right arm, Aneeka.

"Lenach-sama, who is this Sewediwan?"

"You call everybody here by their first names, call me An. About Sewediwan-san, his full name is Inclid Sewediwan, he is the oldest son of the n.o.ble house of Sewediwan. He confessed to me, but I rejected him."

"I believe 'An' is a nickname, but whatever. And when did this confession occur?"

"I thought I'll get ahead of everybody else by making you call me 'An'. It was this morning, he came to ask me to accompany him for the party, but he ended up confessing and asking my hand in marriage."

"In what way do you think you're getting ahead of everybody else,huh. I haven't even thought about your confession yet. And that's just brutal, rejecting him and confessing to me."

"Hey, you can't help falling in love-"

""""Don't ignore us!!!""""

All four of the ladies exclaimed loudly as Aneeka and I went on a tangent.

"He's right." "Who is he?" "What's happening?", such voices could be heard all around me. Their killing intent was rising, Aneeka started to shiver while others remained unaffected. I turned my neck in Nex's direction, he was nowhere to be found, I glanced over the crowd and found Nex directing his killing intent at me as well.

"Can't be helped, huh."

As I said this, all the girls clinging to me glanced at my face.

"Dark Magic- Hypnosis."

The girls and me excluded, this primary-level dark magic spell covers the entire hall. I supplied it with an immense amount of magic so that it does its job.

*THUD*

People can be heard falling down all around us.

Except Nirvana, who looked at the scenery with a pleased expression, all the other girls had complicated expressions with eyes wide opened.

After about two minutes, the only people standing in the hall were Vernyx, Bernard, Benki, Yuna, and the six of us. Yuna was in a golden gown which looked good on her with her impressive curves and shiny purple hair.

"Who... are you... Toru?"

"As I mentioned earlier Sylvia, I am a silver-rank adventurer."

I said in a little forceful tone, to which she just snuggled even closer to my chest.

"I get it~"

"That's unexpected, I thought you would be scared and run away from me, wait, why are all of you coming closer to me?"

"""Because we love you~"""

"Peer pressure"

"My, ufufu"

This conversation was in a distance away from where Vernyx and Bernard were bundled together, so they were ignorant to the fact that their sister and daughter just confess to me.

Things were going to get hectic, there was a war coming, and only Vernyx was aware of it all, I only had partial knowledge, and most of all, I believe that the one behind all this isn't even part of any nation.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Toru."

"What about him? You were able to confess your feelings."

"But I got rejected."

"You didn't get rejected, Sylvia. He said that he still wasn't settled in properly, and he even acknowledged all of you as 'women'."

"B-But-"

"Listen, all three of you expressed yourselves clearly. He said that he was just a lowly commoner, and all of you replied with "So what? We love you and want to be by your side." I am sure that he understands how you feel, you should just be patient and appeal to him as a woman, didn't the three of you start a battle or something over him?"

"Yeah, we agreed that we can appeal to him however we like, s.e.xual or otherwise. And we will not have bad blood between us whatever his decision may be."

"You do realise that he could just take all of you as his wives."

"I know that. But that's not I was worried about in the first place..."

"It's your brother, right?"

"Yeah. Hey Celice, back there, I couldn't care less, because what brother did coincided with our own goal. But now I am worried about him, my brother has him in his sights."

"Don't worry, he's strong. Don't you remember how many n.o.bles and adventurers he put to sleep with a single spell? n.o.bles and experienced adventurers have a high resistance to these kind of spells, but he still managed to put them to sleep easily. Even your brother was impressed."

"Yeah, you're probably right. However, I can't help but worry."

"You sound more like a wife than a maiden in love."

"Don't say such things, they give me hope."

"Hey, didn't you say that you're allowed to appeal to him however you wish?"

"Mmhmm."

"You are leaving for 'Nahar' tomorrow, right?"

"Yeah, it's a town where the people from Hades will be arriving."

"Then, why don't you take Toru with you? He's an adventurer, you know? That's the one thing he was insistent on. You are a Princess, you can easily get him to accompany you..."

"Celice, how are you so smart?"

"Hehe. Now then, quickly go to sleep, or you'll miss your chance tomorrow."

"Mm-hmm."

It was a simple five minute conversation between Celica and me in my room. We just returned from the party and were getting ready to go to bed. However, just this five-minute conversation with her gave me courage to face tomorrow with a determined smile.

"What do you think about him, Bernard?"

"I like him."

The two people were talking in Vernyx's study. They were alone, but they still had a sound blocking barrier up around them.

"Why do you like him so much? Your precious daughter fell in love with that commoner. You hate commoners as much as I do, if it were the old you, you would've slaughtered him right then and there."

"It's fine if it's him."

"But why?"

"Tell me, Vernyx, why do you want him to partic.i.p.ate in the festival?"

"Because he's strong. I exposed him to a very strong killing intent, more than fifty-percent of my true power was exposed to him, but he warded it off like it was a breeze. If I recall correctly, you had a cold sweat running down your face when you were exposed to the same level of killing intent."

"Like you have your reasons, I have mine. He showed me what true beauty looks like."

"You believe that he can be used as a p.a.w.n?"

"Yes, and no. He will make an excellent p.a.w.n, there is no doubt about it. However, I don't exactly want my daughter's first love to be slaughtered just like that."

"He won't be slaughtered that easily. His spell was pretty strong. I think that he can even manipulate mana to a certain degree."

"If His Highness wants it so, then it shall be done."

"Okay,"

"So, Gatekeeper-san, will you show me want I wish to see, or not?"

After I returned from the party, I had the sudden urge to see my previous world, so I contacted Gatekeeper-san telepathically and entered this s.p.a.ce once again by using teleportation magic.

"Yes, yes, but first, let me satisfy myself."

She made me hold her in a princess carry.

"Isn't it enough? I've been here for half an hour, and you've just been kissing and hugging me for the most of it."

"Thanks for the meal."

She said so while licking her lips in a bewitching manner. Her hood was reeled back and her beautiful face exposed. As soon as I arrived here, I was dragged into a deep kiss, and it pa.s.sionately continued for another five minutes until she finally separated. And since then, she's been switching between hugging and kissing.

"Come on."

"I'm just trying to divert your mind so that it doesn't break after seeing what is in store for you."

"My mind won't break that easily, I had already resolved myself to witness a bit of tears."

"If you believe that it will be just a few tears that you'd be seeing, then you're hugely mistaken. Toru, you were quite loved, more so than you realize."

"Fine, let's see."

She pulled away from my hold, and strechted her arms in a seductive manner.

She conjured up a single recliner out of nowhere and urged me to sit on it, and after I did, she settled on my lap, just like a cat.

I ignored it as I thought that I may need someone to hug after I see what's happening in my old world.

She snapped her fingers, and a single TV-screen of about 55 inches appeared in front of us.

And what followed was exactly as Gatekeeper-san had said, it was disturbing.
