Da Tian Ting didn’t greet Hong Shi Na on the way out.

Outside the apartment building, Hong Shi Chi recognised Da Tian Ting.

‘Miss, do you need help carrying your suitcase?’ Hong Shi Chi asked.

‘No thank you,’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting couldn’t believe bad men were everywhere. She carried the suitcase around Hong Shi Chi.

Hong Shi Chi walked in front of Da Tian Ting, and obstructed her way.

‘Miss, you ate the lunch that I paid but why are you scared to see me?’ Hong Shi Chi asked.

‘Sir, you paid for the lunch, no one asked you to pay,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘You’re right,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘Paying for lunch is nothing to me.’

‘If paying for lunch is nothing to you then there isn’t a problem,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘Move out of my way.’

‘The problem is you need to tell me why I paid for you lunch,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘If you can’t tell me why then you need to give back my money.’

‘Sir, you should remember why you paid for lunch,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘You said you didn’t want to see people who would make you lose your appet.i.te then you paid for lunch. If you’re this poor and want to take back your money, in the future don’t act like you’re a rich person.’

‘Do you know who I am?’ Hong Shi Chi asked. ‘I’m Hong Shi’s company’s heir.’

‘Even if you have money, you shouldn’t insult people,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘You’re an interesting country b.u.mpkin,’ Hong Shi Chi said.

Hong Shi Chi pretended he was going to unb.u.t.ton his shirt.

Da Tian Ting didn’t doubt the Hong siblings were related. Hong Shi Na and Hong Shi Chi were both sleazy people.

‘What are you going to do if I don’t want to get out of the way?’ Hong Shi Chi asked.

‘Sleazy pervert, I’m going to beat you to death!’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting used the suitcase to hit between Hong Shi Chi’s legs.

‘Ah!’ Hong Shi Chi yelled.

Hong Shi Chi didn’t expect Da Tian Ting would hit him.

Da Tian Ting ran to a taxi, and escaped Hong Shi Chi.

‘Vicious woman, come back here!’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘I’m going to make you pay!’

Hong Shi Chi was embarra.s.sed he lost twice to the country b.u.mpkin. When he found her again, he was going to chop her into pieces.

Da Tian Ting heard Hong Shi Chi’s threat from the taxi. She knew it wasn’t safe for her to live anywhere in the city. But there was no one in the city for her to visit so she had no plans to return to the city.

‘You can’t hide!’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘I’ll catch you, and I’ll chop you into pieces!’

Hong Shi Chi regretted he didn’t take a photo of the country b.u.mpkin to find out her ident.i.ty.

After the pain between Hong Shi Chi’s legs subsided. He limped into the apartment building, held onto the stair rail and limped to Feng Kai Ze’s apartment.

‘Big brother, why are you limping and why is your pants dirty?’ Hong Shi Na asked.

Hong Shi Na grew up with Hong Shi Chi. She knew her big brother was a clean freak who always washed his hands with distilled water. Whoever ruffled his feathers was dead meat.

‘Don’t remind me,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘I ran into a crazy woman.’

‘Crazy woman?’ Hong Shi Na asked. ‘Big brother, let’s go home. I’m worried about you. What if the crazy woman gave you rabies?’

‘Shi Na, didn’t you ask me to come see Feng Kai Ze?’ Hong Shi Chi asked.

‘We can see Kai Ze another day,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘Besides, big brother, you’re not in a good state to see people.’

‘You’re right,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘I can’t meet my little brother-in-law dressed like this.’

‘Big brother, I have good news,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘I used a little scheme to make Kai Ze’s woman leave him. Big brother, are you proud of me?’

‘That’s my little sister,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘We were born not to lose to anyone.’

‘That’s right,’ Hong Shi Na said. ‘We don’t lose to anyone. Feng Kai Ze is my man, no one can take him away from me.’

‘Shi Na, remember to be a sweet and gentle woman in front of Feng Kai Ze,’ Hong Shi Chi said. ‘And use any dirty tactics to hold onto him behind his back. A man of calibre always want a sweet and gentle woman.’

‘Yes big brother,’ Hong Shi Na said.

The Hong siblings walked downstairs. They didn’t know Feng Kai Ze overheard their conversation through his key hole. He was waiting for Hong Shi Na to leave so he could go explain to Da Tian Ting. He didn’t expect the man who insulted Da Tian Ting at the restaurant was Hong Shi Na’s big brother, Hong Shi Chi. He thought the Hong siblings were a vexing pair of siblings.

Feng Kai Ze cast the vexing Hong siblings out of his mind. He cared about clearing Da Tian Ting’s misunderstanding.

Feng Kai Ze rang Da Tian Ting’s door bell and knocked on her door. She didn’t answer so he unlocked her door.

Da Tian Ting’s apartment was dark and quiet. Feng Kai Ze ran to her bedroom, her suitcase was gone. He switched on the lights and searched her apartment. He found everything he bought her on the dining table, and a note from her, ‘I’m giving back your belongings.’

Feng Kai Ze ran out onto the streets. He couldn’t see Da Tian Ting. He couldn’t call Yang Fei either, because he didn’t want Yang Fei to snitch to his father. It was going to take him longer to find Da Tian Ting, but he was going to find her at any cost.
