Da Tian Ting came to the kitchen to avoid Da Ming Sheng. She didn’t expect Da Ming Sheng to come to the kitchen too.

‘Aunty, I’ll help wash the vegetables and herbs,’ Da Tian Ting said.

‘Big sister, how can you shamelessly come to the Shang family home?’ Da Ming Sheng asked.

The Shang Household’s a.s.sistants thought Shang Duan Hua would marry Da Tian Ting. They didn’t expect Shang Dua Hua would replace Da Tian Ting with Da Ming Sheng. They felt awkward being in the kitchen with Shang Duan Hua’s ex-fiance and new fiance.

Da Tian Ting acted like she didn’t hear Da Ming Sheng, and washed the vegetables and herbs.

‘Big sister, I’m sorry,’ Da Ming Sheng said.

‘Why are you saying sorry to me?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘I’m sorry for stealing Duan Hua from you,’ Da Ming Sheng said.

Da Tian Ting put the vegetables and herbs on the kitchen bench, and she turned around to look at Da Ming Sheng.

‘Do you think saying sorry can make up for you destroying the life I built here for ten years?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

‘Big sister, if I’m Duan Hua, I wouldn’t want to marry you either,’ Da Ming Sheng said. ‘It doesn’t matter if you love Duan Hua for ten or twenty years, because he’ll never love you. Big sister, you should accept the truth.’

Da Ming Sheng acted pitiful in front of the a.s.sistants to make Da Tian Ting look bad.

‘Da Ming Sheng, if you came here to gloat then you succeeded,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘You’re right. Duan Hua hates me, and loves you. Are you satisfied?’

‘Big sister, don’t be angry,’ Da Ming Sheng said innocently. ‘I didn’t mean to sound smug. I was only stating the truth.’

‘You schemed to steal my fiance,’ Da Tian Ting said. ‘What more do you want?’

‘Big sister, don’t misunderstand,’ Da Ming Sheng said. ‘I didn’t scheme to steal Duan Hua. Duan Hua chose to leave you and be with me.’

‘I don’t believe you,’ Da Tian Ting denied.

Da Tian Ting had seen how different Shang Duan Hua treated her and Da Ming Sheng.

‘Big sister, I’ll prove to you that Duan Hua chose to leave you,’ Da Ming Sheng said.

The a.s.sistants pitied Da Ming Sheng. They didn’t want to stay in the tensed kitchen. They kept busy preparing dinner so no one noticed Da Ming Sheng picked up a pot of hot water except Da Tian Ting.

‘What are you doing?’ Da Tian Ting asked.

Da Ming Sheng poured hot water over her arm.

‘Big sister, why didn’t you help me hold this pot of hot water?’ Da Ming Sheng asked.

‘You!’ Da Tian Ting said.

Da Tian Ting didn’t understand why Da Ming Sheng burned her own arm.
