"Come in."
The office door opened, and Alan entered the room. In front of him, a man sat at a desk in an expensive leather chair and studied the doc.u.ments.
"What's new?" the man asked, not taking his eyes off the papers.
"Master, the experts are trying to restore the original data of the formula, but with no results so far. The approximate location of the error has been revealed, but it will take time for the final solution," Alan replied.
"How much time?"
"About two weeks, Master."
"It doesn't suit me. Give me the doc.u.ment."
Alan handed the man a printed version of the doc.u.ment he received from Elena on that day. The man began to review the pages carefully.
About half an hour later, the loud and rolling male laughter broke the silence of the room. A few minutes later, the man calmed down and wiped away the tears that came into his eyes from strong laughter. Alan was shocked by the unusual reaction of his Master.
"Yes, I haven't laughed like that for a long time." The man took the pen and circled a spot in the text on the last page. "This is where the mistake is - line 2341. You will figure the rest out for yourself," he replied and returned the doc.u.ments to Alan.
"What is with the case of Lee Pharmaceuticals?"
"Everything is ready, Master. You can proceed with the implementation of the plan."
"Great. You are free to go."
Alan bowed and left the office. The man got up from his chair, went to the window and lit a cigarette. A satisfied smile slipped across his face again.
"Well, my kitten, you wanted to test me? I accept your game with great pleasure. We'll see what you will do when everything you are used to begins to fall to pieces right before your eyes."
He slowly released a cloud of smoke from his lungs, and the office was again filled with his loud laughter.
