"What now? Let's go look for David and Elena or wait here?" Jun asked him. Now it really was a dilemma for them, they had just checked one of the pa.s.sages, and it turned out to be a dead end. No one guaranteed that this would not happen again, given the oddities which were happening in that place.
While the men pondered over their further actions, Alan began to come to his senses slowly. He opened his eyes and found himself tightly bound. h.e.l.l no, he had never been in such a s.h.i.tty situation. But even this situation was nothing, compared to the thing that was about to happen with these people, completely unaware that they had fallen into a trap that would soon become a grave for them.
Daniel noticed his contented look, "Hey, what are you chuckling about? Don't you think that you have no reason for joy?" he asked sarcastically. The mischievous smile of this handsome killer was another irritating factor in this lousy situation.
"You will find out about it any minute now," Alan grinned and closed his eyes. If he calculated the time correctly, then the first explosion should happen any time now.
His calculations were right, and soon a loud noise raised a storm of sand mixed with small stones, and the blast wave carried it in all possible directions. The walls of the cave trembled, huge pieces of stones broke off from the ceiling and walls and fell down with a crash.
Daniel and Jun only had time to cover their heads, so that they would not accidentally get hurt by one of the cave stones.
Soon everything was quiet, and the dust slowly began to settle down.
"W-what was that?" Jun asked, rubbing his eyes from the sand that had fallen into them.
"Ahahaha," Alan's loud and nasty laugh filled the cave's arches, "This is the beginning of your end, idiots! The main exit has just been blocked up, and this is only the first explosion. Now you have to wait for the second to be buried here forever! Ahahaha!"
Daniel looked at the man, beating in hysterical convulsions at his feet, with hatred. The man's body moved on its own, he grabbed Alan, and the follow-up kick was of such strength that he instantly knocked out the killer on the spot, knocking him down completely.
But Daniel did not stop there and began to kick him with even more rage, although the man in his hands had long been unconscious.
"Daniel, stop it, you will kill him now! He's not worth it!" Jun grabbed the elder Anderson, he did not expect that David's brother would be so strong, and it took the guy a lot of effort before Daniel calmed down and let the breathless body out of his hands.
"d.a.m.n, d.a.m.n, d.a.m.n!" Daniel began to curse all the swear words he could remember loudly. They were stumped, if the exit was just blocked up, they could try looking for another one. But, firstly, they did not know if there was such exit at all, and secondly, this person said that there would be another explosion, and the latter would be clearly more powerful. And what is the most disgusting, they did not know when to expect it. Everything could happen at any moment. Daniel felt his brain begin to boil, not knowing how best to act in this situation.
"d.a.m.n, and David is h.e.l.l knows where!" The man hit the wall with one of his hands. To say that they were in complete s.h.i.t is to compare this cave with a five-star hotel. It was much worse.
"Daniel." The elder Anderson flinched, hearing his brother's voice in his head.
"David? Where are you? Did you find Elena? Why the f.u.c.k are you using telepathy?! Do you even know how much energy it consumes?!"
"Is Jun with you? Are you okay?"
"Yes, he is with me. Everything is fine with us, only-," Daniel looked at lifeless Alan with disgust, "We met an old acquaintance of Junie here, but he is already fast asleep, and I doubt that he will wake up anytime soon."
"Got it, I thought so," David smiled to himself. This means that the training did not go in vain. "Listen, I'm now teleporting you and Jun out. Our bodies are connected, so it should work. And yes, take Alan with you too, you know what to do with him later on."
"Are you out of your mind, or something, what the h.e.l.l are you offering me now? Do you even realize that such pressure can be lethal for you?" Daniel was furious, but more than anger, only fear was growing in him at the moment. Fear that if David starts to execute his plan, even Daniel's body will not be able to resist this.
And worst of all, Daniel understood that his brother was right. He was responsible not only for himself but also for Jun. Mr. Lee will not bear it if something happens to his son again.
"I know that I told you to do what you think is right, and now I myself do everything in my own way. Sorry, I promise you, this is the last time I am doing so."
"Last time, yeah, right," Daniel replied to his brother's words with a grin.
"Take care of Elena, please."
"Only if you publicly declare that your elder brother has always been a role model for you," Daniel set the conditions, although in the depths of his soul he already understood their complete meaninglessness. He came closer to Jun and waved his hand, asking him to stand closer.
"Sure. I'll do that," David paused for a moment, and then uttered the words he spoke the last time he was five years old, "You are the best eldest brother. I love you, Daniel."
Daniel closed his eyes tight, his lips pursed, he clenched his fists so hard that his fingers turned white, "Those words are supposed to be said personally to the face, you little fool."
. . .
He opened his eyes. The cold mountain wind struck his face with force, but the man did not even frown. If before he could get cold at the slightest draft, now he didn't even notice the cold surrounding him.
Behind Daniel, the entrance to the cave was completely blocked, the pile of stones was so huge that it was impossible to get inside it.
The man sat down on the ground, folded his hands in his lap, laid his head on them and wept silently.
