"Hmm, I don't know. There were just a lot of numbers." Elena replied, without going into details.
"And did you remember something?" David continued to pull the details out of her.
Elena looked at him intently, trying to understand what was hiding behind these lights that occasionally pop up in his bottomless brown eyes.
"There is nothing. I woke up abruptly, so I didn't remember anything." She answered his question.
"Hmmm, well, it's even for the best. You don't need the extra details of a not so pleasant dream anymore." He winked at her and kissed her on the forehead.
"By the way, I looked through your report. Very impressive. I was surprised that you managed to do so much work, considering that in the evening you were busy." He slyly smiled at the girl, reminding her of a stormy evening together at the club.
Elena smiled back. "Yes, I am an attagirl, see?"
"Haha, it's true. Can't argue with that." David chuckled and hugged the girl by the waist, slightly cuddling her. "But tell me, please, why did you choose this particular topic for a.n.a.lysis? World War II is a very sensitive issue. We still don't know much, including the exact death toll."
"I know. It's just that there are a lot of archival doc.u.ments on this topic, and it was really interesting for me to a.n.a.lyze the actions of the leaders of the conflicting nations." Elena replied to him feeling a little annoyed that David had turned on the 'teacher mode'.
"Then answer the following question. In which language were the original sources that you used for the a.n.a.lysis? English, right?" Seeing that the girl was silent, David understood that he knew the right answer to his question.
"Listen, Elena, if you do not speak the language of the countries partic.i.p.ating in the conflict, you will always be limited only to the information that you receive in your native language. Imagine the situation. In a country, there is a coup d'état. Its president escapes to a neighboring country so that he will not be killed. The new illegal government accuses the neighbors of hiding the former president and claims that this neighboring country is hiding the real criminal, and they only restored justice. Then they begin to blame the neighbors for all their troubles that have happened to them for the past 500 years. What do you think will another, let's say, the third country do when watching this conflict from the outside?"
"Well, probably, they will demand compliance with international law?" The girl suggested.
"Not really, my dear. The third country will a.n.a.lyze what country it will be more useful to use, and whom it is more advantageous to sink. And its government will deliver information to the citizens based on these considerations. Therefore, when you watch TV and they tell you there, what an ugly aggressive country A constantly offends the country B, and in general it offends everyone, remember that you are given this information exactly as it is beneficial to your country C. So your opinion will be very easy to manipulate. And you may never find out that in fact, this is your country C that arranged this entire conflict, so that later the government would have an argument to spend taxpayers' money on military expenses, and not on salaries to such poor teachers like me."
David sighed sadly and looked at the girl pitifully.
"Pf, ha ha ha !!" Elena couldn't hold it and laughed out loud. "G.o.d, Mr. Anderson, I can now believe that you know and can teach something."
"Baby, you apparently seriously underestimate me." David answered her, as if offended by her words.
"Well, judging by your logic, Mr. Anderson, you also cannot be objective enough when you are discussing the topic of the World War II. You do not speak the languages of the partic.i.p.ating countries, do you?"
David's face lit up with a sly smile, he leaned over to the girl and whispered "My dear Elena, for your information, I speak English, German and Russian fluently. So I can be more than objective in this matter."
Elena opened her mouth in amazement. The man, pleased with his triumph, continued "Well, I'm an attaboy, see?", and leaned his head closely to her so his lips were right in front of her lips.
Elena instinctively closed her eyes in antic.i.p.ation of a kiss, but nothing followed up. She opened her eyes and saw David smiling, 2 inches away.
"You thought I was going to kiss you?" He asked ironically.
"Oh, you ..." - "Shh." He pressed his finger to her lips, not letting her finish. "You thought the right way."
David removed his finger from her lips and then covered them with his own lips. A slow and sweet kiss filled Elena's body with the desire to snuggle up to this man as close as possible. She hugged him tightly in response and her lips followed the pace set by his lips.
This kiss was completely different, completely unlike that pa.s.sionate kiss which they had back then in the club. Now, it was a kiss, full of tenderness. Tenderness and love.
The man hugged the girl tightly, and the heat of his body caused the reciprocal flame in her chest. After a few minutes of this sweet tenderness, David let go of Elena's lips and whispered "Will you marry me?"
"WHAT?!" Elena screamed, shocked by such an unexpected question. "No, wait. Do you even understand what you're asking now? Don't you think that the logic of your actions is somehow broken?"
"Do you doubt the sincerity of my intentions?" David took Elena by the hand and put her hand on the lower part of his body. The girl felt how his already hardened manhood began pulsating under her hand.
"David!!!", flushing from the embarra.s.sment that swept over her, Elena pulled her hand back.
The man laughed out loud and picked her up. Carrying her like a princess, he went to the sofa and gently put her on it. He sat next to the carpet, hugged her legs and put his head on her lap.
David stared into the girl's eyes. "Seriously, then, Elena, let's date? I really like you."
Elena looked at David. The man was sitting at her feet and the imploring eyes of a little puppy were waiting for her answer. 'Well, how can you say no in such a situation?', she thought and leaned toward David to leave a return kiss on his lips.
"So, it's a 'yes'?" - "Yes", replied the girl.
"Great, then we have to solidify this", David smiled and covered Elena's lips with a deep and pa.s.sionate kiss.
