'It's time that I get my driver licence.' Thought Michael. He stopped in his tracks when he arrived at the mansion, there was something wrong here he could feel it, smell it. He slowly walked to the mansion, not sure what was wrong and he saw Rosa who was wiping away her tears.

"Rosa what's wrong?"

Rosa looked up and saw Michael standing right in front of her. SHe stood up from the stairs and hugged him, "Michael it's terrible, Miss Greyshaw she....she collapsed and was brought to the hospital..." Said Rosa agitated.

He stood there rooted and said, "Tell me exactly what happened!"

Rosa stopped hugging him and used her handkerchief to wipe away her tears, "I'm not sure Barbara said that Sheriff Dawson visited her and the Miss collapsed after he left."

'Sheriff Dawson?'

He quickly threw it to the back of his mind and asked, "Rosa you can drive right?"

She nodded weakly and Michael picked up the key to one of the four cars that the Greyshaw family owns, "Good then drive me to the hospital I need to see mum now."

At another part of Palmer Falls were Claudia and Ceddy talking about various things while walking randomly around. Ceddy was happy to be able to spent time with Claudia and she didn't dislike his presence at all. It was getting dark and they decided that it was time to head home. Ceddy accompanied her to her apartment and just as he wanted to leave he reacted to something in the air.

There was a stench in the air, it felt strangely familiar but he couldn't remember where he had smelled it before.

Claudia seemed to smell it too and both of them stared uncertain at each other, before turning to the door that leaded to Claudia's home.

Claudia overcame a bad feeling, this feeling started to gnaw her from the inside and she took out her keys. Ceddy tensed up and the atmosphere became strangely gloomy.

A fresh metallic stench a.s.saulted their noses after Claudia opened the door, Claudia knew directly that something was off because all the lights were out. Her mother should be cooking at this time but it was too silent. Ceddy took out his phone and texted something before following Claudia inside.

She turned on the lights on the corridor and followed the fresh stench that came out from the living room.

Claudia froze the moment she opened the door to the living room and Ceddy who was right behind her stopped too.

There were three stranger in the middle of the living room, one of them was sitting on a chair while the other two stood one each to his side. Claudia's mother laid unconscious on the floor with blood streaming out of her head and neck.

This moment seemed to run in slow motion in Claudia's eyes and her feelings became chaotic, changing from confusion to anger to fear and hate.

The man sitting on the chair spoke first, "We have been waiting for you Claudia Diaz."

Ceddy heard Claudia's heart beating faster and faster and he could feel that she was about to transform. He grabbed her hand and squeezed it for a moment. Claudia felt Ceddy's hand on hers and she took a deep breath and calmed down a bit before looking furiously at the strangers.

"Who are you people and what have you done to my mother?"

The stranger on the chair smiled faintly, seeing Ceddy's action to calm down Claudia. It was a bit funny to see a mortal calm down another one, as if she could do anything if she attacked them.

"Ah yes, you see Miss Diaz here didn't want to answer my questions and it pains me to say it but my dear friend here got a bit rough with her and it seems like he overdid it." Said the stranger with a smile on his face, if the situations wasn't like this, one would think that he really felt bad about it.

"But that doesn't matter anymore, I'm searching for someone, his name is Thomas Morner."

Claudia flinched, hearing this name and Ceddy tensed up even more.

Their reactions didn't go unnoticed and the stranger's smile grew thicker, 'Bingo!'

"It seems like you know something, now do us both a favor and answer my question, What happened to Thomas? If you don't cooperate I fear that your dear mother won't live past tonight." This time the stranger didn't smile anymore and a cold glint flashed through his blue eyes.

Ceddy stood there and felt that something was wrong with these people, the two wearing black suits stood there like statues and hadn't moved at all. Something about them just felt wrong....

Ceddy's eyes opened wide, 'They don't have a heartbeat, I can hear mine, Claudia's and her mother's heartbeat but, these three don't have one.....'

Just as he wanted to tell Claudia that these people are vampires, the atmosphere changed. He noticed that the three vampires were looking at Claudia like they had seen a ghost, he slowly turned to Claudia to see that her eyes became completely black. A golden ring appeared slowly surrounding the area where her pupils should be.

The old man in butler clothes stood up and exclaimed, "Your eyes!"

Claudia ignored his comment and gnashed between her sharp teeths, "Die!"

She directly pounced at the old butler but she was stopped by the kick from the man in in the right. She was sent flying backwards and crashed into a wardrobe.

Ceddy didn't care anymore and transformed into his semi-wolf form. They were at a disadvantage because they were only the two of them. Claudia stood up and veins started to pop out on her forehead, her nails turned dark and grew sharper.

She flung herself at the man who kicked her before while baring her fangs at him.

Her actions looked cool but she was kicked again away, sending her crashing against the table this time. Ceddy watched it and started sweating, the man in black suit moved way too fast, he used a spinning kick to send Claudia flying.

"Incredible, both of you are clearly not human, what are you?" Stated the old man with a surprised sinister smile on his face.

"Don't kill them, just knock them out."

Ceddy took a fighting stance and Claudia emerged from the destroyed table, she seemed to have cooled down because she stared warily at the three people.

It was clear as day that the two of them had no chance against these three, they lacked fighting experience.

Ceddy started to take off his shirt and Claudia directly understood what he was planning to do.

But before the show could start a large black blur pa.s.sed them, leaving Claudia and Ceddy stunned, the black blur dashed straight at the two man in suits.
