He had leapt on the chance to work with a witch capable of enchanting daylight rings, and hers were of exceptionally high quality. Vincent used his life as collateral to purchase six rings off of her in a trade. Then, later on, he could use the money from that trade to buy more rings and settle the debt he owed. The rings got entrusted to an old vampire friend. He was supposed to deliver them to another vampire along a route that he alone had chosen, but it seems that there was a rat or the course got discovered through mystical means. Either way, the rings went missing, along with all of Vincent's hopes and potentially his life. The vampire's body was only found by some hobo two days later, and the hobo robbed what little of what was left and ran. He never reported seeing a body.
It took Vincent hard work plus a lot of very persuasive tactics involving his mouth before he managed to convince some influential people to look for the vampire. But their henchmen didn't seem to manage to leave their doors before a witch knocked on Vincent's door. She had come looking for her money, unaware of the fact that they were robbed.
"What do you mean that you don't have the money or the rings."
The witch was fuming with rage. She had been warned multiple times. Don't do business with people outside of the clan or without supervision. But she needed money, so she decided to make a deal with Vincent. But now it seems she was just conned.

"I mean, I gave the rings to someone very reliable to transport, and they seem to now be missing. It is not my fault. I am trying my best to find these rings as we speak. When I find them I will immediately offer you an explanation, please give me some time."
Vincent was trying very hard to explain. He knew the amount of money the rings were worth was astronomical. That was why Vincent would even risk his life to get into the business, but now he might lose his life if he wasn't careful. He knew the witch standing in front of him was powerful, but the clan of witches behind her was scarier.
"ARHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
The witch shouted in anger and closed her eyes as she concentrated on summoning a demon to beat up this con artist demon. Within seconds a pentagram flared on the ground as an inferior balrog leapt out and roared. The balrog was still a juvenile and had not yet formed its innate whip of flames. It stood there 2 metres tall a hulking red humanoid wearing an ancient spartan breastplate with long horns that curled back and wings of fire sprouted from his back, raising the temperature around him.
Seeing the witch summon a demon, especially one as fierce as a balrog, made Vincent regret he was ever greedy. But it was too late the witch, and her devil already stood in his brothel ready to wreck it.
"Get them!!! Stop them from destroying the place!"
Vincent was shouting to the security guards he had hired for the brothel.
Five Incubus security guards ran out as they tried to encircle the balrog. But the devil was clearly no pushover in combat even though it was young. Seeing how they wanted to surround him, the balrog struck out with a swift kick to incubus closest to him. The incubus barely guarded against as he crossed his arms as a guard against the attack. Seeing the balrog start to fight, the other four guards leapt into battle as well. But even with the addition of four other demons, the balrog still fought them off with ease. The balrog tanked their attacks head-on relying on his leathery skin to defend himself while he simply focused on winding up and making each swing of his fists a knockout. There was no knockout so far as the five guards were rather skilled and defended themselves well each time they received his fist, and they would block his blows for one another. The five incubi guards rained blows down on him, but it didn't seem to matter.
"Its time to get serious guys. It's time to get real."
Seeing his guards having a tough time, Vincent decided to help out. With a quick shift, Vincent was in his demonic incubus form. Horns sprouted from his head, and dark wings exploded from Vincents back. His skin was now darkened, and his eyes were pure black. While he remained handsome, there was now a hazardous and dark element to him. Taking a look at the five guards, they had also demonized and gained horns and wings similar to Vincent.
Now that they were all dolled up, Vincent was ready to throw down. Demonizing had improved the guard's physical abilities allowing them to more comfortably combat the balrog. Five of them fighting the balrog might have been enough already as they were going all out now, but with the addition of Vincent, their leader a higher Incubus, they had a chance to defeat the devil now.
True to their faith, Vincent flew up and dive-bombed the balrog slamming him into the ground. Dazed, the balrog stood up again. But while he was stunned, the incubi have backed off into a defensive semi-circle around him.
Seeing a pause in the battle, Vincent spoke out once again, trying to stop the fighting. Winning against a balrog would be tough, but even if he won, her clan could quickly come to find him afterwards. The only real way he could win was to make peace with her.
"Alright, let's stop the fighting miss. I did not steal the rings from you. Anymore fighting would be a waste of time. You can't defeat me, and I do not wish to fight an enchanting witch such as yourself. But as soon as I find any information on the rings, I will inform you."
Hearing Vincent insinuate that she was only getting a pa.s.s because of her beauty p.i.s.sed her off. She felt belittled. Also, this all just sounded like one of those scam tactics her family was always warning her about. This guy was for sure wasting her time, and he wanted her to leave so she would eventually give up on the rings as time pa.s.sed. The little witch's head was just filled with conspiracies on why this guy was scamming her. Her family had simply scared her too much with stranger danger.
"Fine!! I can't beat you, but you are going to regret it. Because when my brother comes, he is going to beat the answers out of you."
The witch quickly reached into her clothes for her cellphone and made a call. You could tell the witch was confident in whoever was on the other line because as soon as she hung up, she was markedly more confident.
"Miss, let's not get any more people involved. I am looking for the rings as we speak. Let me find them, and I will bring them to you."
Vincent was practically begging now. His compliment had backfired, and now she was calling for backup. This was the worst-case scenario. He didn't want to involve any members of her clan cause this was sure to get dangerous now.
"Ha, you want to apologize now? It's too late! He should be here any second now! My brother always comes right away when I call him."
The witch was very happy now as she patted herself on the back.
(Haha, seeing how scared this guy is right now, I am sure Tony can get my rings back for me. It's always the right choice to call that guy first.)
The witch was right; her brother was fast. Within minutes of the call, another faint knock came from the door of the brothel.
