They thought that since they planned to live in this house for a long time, it would be better to take their time and get things right from the beginning. 

So, the renovation took almost half a year. Yao Jinxi also worried about any potentially irritating substances in the construction materials that might be harmful to Wu Yang’s health. Ventilation alone took up the remaining six months. At this point, both Yao Jinxi and Wu Yang were eager to move in.
