One Night With The Prince Chapter 239 - Respect

Back in the White House, when Daniel and Prince Alexander arrived, everyone was already in bed.  Prince Alexander bid Daniel goodnight and went straight to the wing of the White House, where Alexa room was located.

Secret service was seated by the door guarding and saw Prince Alexander came.  He greeted the man.  "Good evening, your Highness! "  

"Good evening!"  Reply Prince Alexander as the man opened the door for him to enter.  

A light was still on at the mini living room as he enters.  He slowly made his way to the bedroom and opened the door.  A light was illuminating from the bedside table, and he could see Alexa's beautiful face sound asleep.  His heart flutters as he came closer to the bed and sat next to the empty s.p.a.ce on Alexa's side of the bed.

He touched her face gently while tucking the strand of hair that found it's the way to cover her eyes.  He sighed as he thought of what they had been through and what's ahead of them...  He needed to find a way to bring her back to Stonisia without the Queen making a mess of everything.

In less than a month, she would be handing over her crown, and when that happens, they would be getting married in front of all his people.  She would be her crown princess and the future queen of Stonasia, even if it killed him.

The couple had promised each other that they would wait for the right moment to be as one.  Therefore, they still have not done the deed.  They don't feel it's the right thing to do while they were on the same roof as with Alexa's parents. 

Therefore, Prince Alexander had requested to have a separate room until they actually sign the marriage license.

However, now that he has alcohol in his body, he couldn't wait any longer.  He wanted to be with his wife...  But, would she let him sleep in the same bed?  Knowing her parents' room is in the other wings of the White House?  He contemplated his action as he sat there, gazing at sleeping, Alexa.

In the end, his respect for Alexa won, and he kissed her on her forehead before whispering endearing words. "Sweet dreams, my love, we will soon be as one, and we will never be apart again.  Goodnight, and dream of our future together."  He then got up and tucked her in, making sure that she's covered... before turning around and leaving the room to go to the place he was a.s.signed.

In weeks to come, Prince Alexander had become a part of the First Family.  Soon it was time for Alexa to go to Atlanta Ga for the Miss Universe compet.i.tion.  Prince Alexander had tagged along, making sure that she's never out of his sight.

The compet.i.tion was as intense as when Alexa had competed, and she was torn between the candidate from the USA and the Philippines.  However, she didn't have to worry in the end for both did not even make it to the top five.  Therefore, when the new Miss Universe was announced... Alexa happily handed over the crown with the biggest smile she could conjure.

As Alexa did her final catwalk before handing over the crown, she couldn't stop herself from smiling happily and waving to everyone.  'Finally, I will be able to be with the man I love... I will end this part of my life and think of my future... The Crown Princess of Stonasia.'  Alexa thought as she made her way through the stages, waving goodbye to the ma.s.ses.

President Grant, Chrissy, Grandmother Grant, and Daniel were all seated in the parlor of the White House watching everything on an 85 inches flat-screen television.  Chrissy has tears flowing down her beautiful face while leaning on President Grant's shoulder.

"Don't you think she's the most beautiful creature ever created?"  President Grant whispered to his wife's ear before landing a light kiss.

Chrissy, while sobbing, only nodded and smiled at her husband.  There's nothing else in the world she could ask for, except... For Dr. Garcia to be able to create the cure for her disease.  Then she could honestly say she couldn't ask for anything else.

"Well, now the only thing we need to worry about is the Kingdom of Stonasia...  I'm sure they would not be easy to handle when Prince Alexander comes home with my sister in tow.  What do you think, dad?"  Daniel asked calmly.

"We will cross that bridge when the time comes.  Let's take it one day at the time, and we will wait and see what the Queen would do.  Just make sure that she has enough details with them.  We could never be sure about those people.  Until we know who had pushed Prince Alexander and Princess Angelica that night... We need to be careful."  President Grant said sternly, and he cannot take a chance when it comes to his princess.

"Don't worry father, and I have it under control.  After speaking with Prince Alexander that day, I had mobilized my team to investigates, and we now have evidence that it's Crown Prince Romano that pushed Prince Alexander and Princess Angelica that night.  Everything is under control. As we speak, a message had been sent to the Kingdom of Spaniard to inform them. 

"Good job!  I know I could depend on you to take care of your sister.  By the way, have you considered running for President next term?  Your mom and I decided I should not run for the next term, so I could announce to the world Alexa is your sister."  President Grant excitedly announces while his eye was gleaming with happiness.

Daniel quickly replied, "Nah! That's too early for me to run for President.  I want to enjoy my newlywed status first.  However, you have my support no matter what you and mom decided to do.  I'm sure Alexa does too...  I don't blame you for thinking that way, and I too want the whole world to know that she's my baby sister.  Hahaha!"
