Her pale jade skin had no blemishes. The young man traced his finger over Mai's cheek and found nothing but soft silky-smooth skin under his finger. Mai's robe had fallen undone leaving a large portion of chest showing. Her luscious thick raven black hair had covered her breast too much for the young man to see what lay beneath. The young man had to resist the urge to move her hair and grab a breast to see if they truly were as squishy as he had remembered when she was squirming around on his shoulder.
The young man was utterly enthralled with her beauty but knew better then to act on his urges. This was an unknown woman that appeared out of nowhere in the inner city that also spoke a different language. Though there was a small chance that she had no bad intentions towards him, there was a much larger chance that she had been planted there by one of his enemy's. Furthermore, unlike what Mai thought he was a gentleman, instead of outright killing her he had decided to investigate the situation first.
After staring at her in the moonlight that was entering from the small window above the bed for a couple of minutes he left as quietly as he came.

Mai stretched on the bed as the small window above her head let in streams of light that woke her from her dreams. Even though Mai went on a journey from young child to mature adult she couldn't remember the dream that she had. Just like when an adult tries to remember their childhood they only get vague memories. However, everything that she had learnt had stayed with her.
Mai originally thought that everything that had happened yesterday was just another dream since she was having bizarre ones, but after opening her eyes she was greeted with the same bleak room with only a bed in it.
After realizes that everything was actually real Mai started to freak out on the bed.
Mai gasped air in small breaths as her world came crashing down around her. She started to rock back and forth on the bed while clasping her arm around her knees. The thought of being in a different world all alone had finally caught up with her. The tears that she had held back could no longer be restrained as they poured from down her cheeks. She continued to rock back and forth until she had no more energy to even cry.
Eventually Mai calmed herself down and started to think of escape routes that she could take to get out of this place. She vaguely remembered from the dream last night that she was in a country called Yǔmáo. Though the county greatly resembled China, the traditions and culture were slightly different. Even if it was different, being a single young lady trapped in a room anywhere spelled doom.
The only window was above her bed and was only large enough for her arm to fit through, whereas the only other exit looked to be the thick wooden locked door.
Her heart rate started to climb again as she realized that escaping was impossible for a girl with her talents. There were no tools or hooks to make a contraption that could knock someone unconscious when they entered the door. Since it swung inwards she couldn't make something that would cause the person to trip. All out of options, she sat in the middle of the floor glancing around the room trying to figure out a way that she had yet to think of.
Around noon Mai heard the door jingle and open. Seeing the same brute that had carried her in here she found an outlet for all of her pent-up frustration.
"So, you guys didn't forget about me, were you trying to starve me to death?" Mai asked.
The man was taken aback when he heard what she said and his cheeks slightly flushed in embarra.s.sment. The master had said she was a prisoner and to be guarded but also to take care of her needs. The man had a lot to deal with yesterday and after dumping her in the room completely forgot about her till this morning.
"You are a prisoner, there is no reason to waste resources on you." The man said indifferently, trying to scare Mai.
Mai chuckled at the reply, even if he tried to behave indifferently she had still seen that tinge of embarra.s.sment from earlier.
"Did your young master not say to take care of my needs? Are you ignoring what he said? Even if I am a prisoner that has no value to go against what the young master said… You sure have guts." Mai said with a glint in her eyes.
While the words were coming out of her mouth, the man's face began to fall turning into a scowl.
He quickly turned around and marched out of the room.
"Making me a prisoner for no reason besides being outside of their manor, who were these people?" Mai was beginning to think that they were the crazy ones. "well at least I've settled the issue about getting food for the day."
20 long minutes pa.s.sed in silence, the door was once again opened however instead of the guard that she was expecting the young master had walked through the entrance instead.
Mai threw caution to the wind and said "Well, well look at who showed up!" with a smile on her face.
The man completely ignored her as more servants brought in a table as well as multiple food dishes. He sat down, well the servants started to set up his meal.
Mai stared at the man who was as beautiful as an angel but could possibly rival a devil. Eating food in front of a person that was hungry was one of the evilest things you could do. Mai watched as he took his chopsticks and brought countless pieces of juicy looking meat to his mouth. She was practically drooling from the smell not to mention the satisfied look he got whenever he finished a piece of meat. This lasted for 5 minutes before the man said, "Tell me about yourself, if I like what I hear you can have some food."
"Was this man joking with her? Tell him what? That until yesterday she had been living in a completely different world and by accident got sent here. Like he would even believe that story"
Mai thought. As she was attempting to create a story that could seem slightly plausible he also said
"I will know if you are lying so you should just tell me the truth. Who sent you here?" The man's face had lost all of its joy as he uttered the last part of the sentence.
"Fine he wants the truth? He can have the truth!" Mai thought.
"Well what is there to tell you, my name is Mai. I am from a place called Earth and somehow got transmogged to this place. before waking up yesterday in this body I have no idea about her past." Mai replied as if these types of things happened all the time hiding her frustration.
The man's gaze never left her face as she had said everything. Mai smiled as the surrounding atmosphere started to feel almost soft compared to the aggression that the young master was giving off earlier. She told him lots of personal details from her life on Earth that she had not told anyone before from fear of it being too embarra.s.sing. In the end she had talked for about 15 mins before she had stopped to catch her breath.
Mai stared at the man to see what his reaction to the truth would be.
