“Okay, let’s give that a try. If we canreally convert the bamboo forest into a vast sea of spiritual bamboo, that willgreatly a.s.sist with the cultivation of Zheng Yuan and the lot and dad would behappy too!”
“Young master, I don’t think you’d stop atjust converting the bamboo forest. From now on, you are going to start changingeverything surrounding you. This entire surrounding area will become sacredland for cultivation.”
“That won’t be such a bad thing!” laughedCheng Xiao Xiao happily.
“Of course it will be a good thing, youngmaster. Yuteng has faith in you!”
“Yuteng, all said and done, you are theone who has to do all the work!”
“Anything to make my young master happy!”
Chitchatting and talking about theirfuture wishful thinking, Cheng Xiao Xiao didn’t realize that a second group ofvisitors had arrived in the outside world!
“Young master, someone’s here!” LittleYuteng seemed to have sensed something and warned her.
Cheng Xiao Xiao, who was leaning againstthe crystal tree and meditating with her eyes closed, opened her eyes and shecould hear the message from the dogs in her head. Immediately, she said, “Letme go check it out.”
Flashing out of the dimension, Cheng XiaoXiao walked outside of the house. Her parents had already met up with thevisitors and they appeared at the door before she could walk out of thecourtyard!
She didn’t recognize most of the visitors, except one that she had already met a couple of times. She put on her normallook after a short pause. If people from the Ning’s could find there way here, naturally so could Innkeeper Zhu, who was right now standing in front of her.
“Have a seat, everyone. Pardon the mess!”Cheng Biyuan said the humble words, but there’s no inferiority detected in histone.
Deacon Bai didn’t show much in terms ofemotions. Deacon Lin had a cold look as though he was there to collect hundredsof thousands of dollars that was owed to him.
Innkeeper Zhu, as usual, was full ofsmiles. Politely he cupped his hands and said, “Please, Mr. Cheng, pardon ourunannounced visit!”
“Have a seat!” said Cheng Biyuan politely,he had already found out the ident.i.ties of the visitors.
The lot sat down on the chairs and Mrs.Cheng served them tea. In the short while there, Innkeeper Zhu cupped his handsand greeted the person standing in front of the doorway, “Hi, Miss Cheng, longtime no see!”
His words got the attention of the other two that were with him, they both looked at the fair maiden in front of them right away. The twodeacons seemed surprised by the sight of her.
Cheng Xiao Xiao didn’t pay them much attention but just nodded atInnkeeper Zhu. She didn’t say a word.
Cheng Biyuan, sitting on the other side caught the entire exchange. He asked indifferently, “So Innkeeper Zhu and the two deacons, what is thepurpose of your visit today?”
“Ugh, Mr. Cheng, allow me to explain!”Innkeeper Zhu first shot a glance at the twodeacons. Seeing that they had no reaction, he continued, “I have purchasedproduces and farm animals from Mrs. Cheng and Miss Cheng previously and had averbal agreement that we will purchase all your goods in the future. What doyou think about that?”
“Oh….” Said Cheng Biyuan casually, but was non-committal.
Mrs. Cheng, who was pouring tea at the moment couldn’t help b.u.t.took a look at him. After filling up the tea for everyone, she stood to oneside silently.
Innkeeper Zhu’s look was a bit stiff. Deacon Lin, standing next tohim, looked disgruntled but did not verbalize it; whereas Deacon Bai wasobserving every Cheng’s reaction carefully.
n.o.body said a word and awkwardness filled the air.
Deacon Bai smiled finally and said directly to Cheng Biyuan, “Mr.Cheng, we are willing to purchase your goods and farm animals at high cost!”
