The Substitute Wife Chapter 5: 5 Thunder

It's been a week since they've been on their honeymoon. Hiro got bored because all Mia does is her sketches.

He then calls Ivan, his right hand man. "It's me. Those marriage license. Fix it." He then ends the call. He sighs. "That d.a.m.n woman."

He went to check on her. He finds her sleeping on the table on top of her sketches. He quietly moves it without waking her up. He puts it in her bag and carries her to the bed.

He cuddles with her, he slowly drifts to sleep. Mia feels cold. She turns around and get closer to Hiro. An hour later, he opens his eyes.

He notices she's gone. He walks outside, the maids saw him and giggles. (Whats wrong with them?) He turns and sees the reflection of himself on the patio door. "Grrr....that d.a.m.n woman!"

His face is cover in full makeup and doodles in markers. He went back inside and wash it off.

He heads outside and looking for her. He went look for her and finally finds her sitting on the ground. "There she is. That woman..."

As he gets closer to her, he notices blood on the sand. He runs over to her. "Hey!" She turns around and see Hiro. "Hm?" He realizes she's not injured. Something appears on her lap. It's a baby monkey, who's injured.

Hiro fell onto his knees. (This woman...really scared out of me...) She taps him on the shoulder. "What's wrong?" He sighs. She turns to the monkey, aiding him. She smiles.

He stares at her, without realizing that he's also smiling.

"Can we keep him?" "What?" "Keep this thing?" "Yeah I want to keep Momo." "Momo?" "It's a name." "No. Let's go." "Purrrttyyy please?"

She's pouting and begging Hiro to let her keep it. (Shes cute. Wait. No.) He shakes his head. ( this woman..cute..HA..I must be crazy) "Hiro? Please?"

He sighs. "Fine." She lightens up. "Really?!" "I already—" she jumps and hugs him. "Thank you!!" He wasn't expected that reaction of hers.

His face blushed. He pushes her away. "I got it. Let me go." "Ah sorry. I got a little bit excited." She smiles. Momo then climbs up and sits on her shoulder. "Ooh Ooh eee eee"

"Let's go back." She walks ahead of Hiro. Hiro follows her behind. That night, it's starting to rain very hard. Soon thunder and lightening. Mia hides under the table, covering her ears.

Momo notices and exits the bedroom to find Hiro. As soon as he finds him, he climbs up and grabs his ear. "Yeeooowww!" He notices Momo. "You.." "Ooh Ooh eee eee" jumps down and runs tot he doorway. "Ooh Ooh eee eee!"

Hiro follows him and sees her under the table, covering her ears, trembling. He clicks his tongue. He walks over and grabs her.

She startles and sees Hiro. She hugs him. He can feel her shaking all over. (Just...What the h.e.l.l your so call parents did to you?)

He hugs her tightly. "It's okay. I'm here." He carries her tot he bed. She wouldn't let go of him. He sighs.

Soon she's fallen asleep, still holding onto him. He sleeps with her in his arms while Momo sleeps above Mia's head.

Next morning, they were still sleeping in each other's arms. Momo opens his eyes and rubs his eyes. He went to check Mia and Hiro, who are still sleeping.

Momo jumps off the bed and heads to the kitchen. The maids see him and gives him some fruits.

In the other end, Hiro opens his eyes and notices she is still in his arms. He smiles and holds her tightly. He then closes his eyes and went back to sleep.

An hour later, she opens her eyes. (Its morning already?) She turns around and notices she's in Hiro's arms. (How did we...) she recalls what happen last night. (I cling onto him?) she buries her face in both of her hands, embarra.s.sed.

She quietly escape his embrace and heads to the kitchen where Momo is. "Ah Lady Maya, you're up." "Yes." Momo notices her and runs to her side.

She pats him on the head. "Good morning, Momo." She smiles. "Ooh Ooh eee eee" Mia eats her breakfast and head out with Momo. She went for a walk. She could still feel his embrace. She smiles.

But suddenly her smile fades, (if Maya comes back, will he hold her like that?) Her heart pains. She shakes her head. (No, Mia. This is Maya's place. There's no way he would like you.) She sadly smiles as she looks at the ocean.
