Chapter 200: A Master and a Disciple Talking about Lu Xuan
That pretty young woman looked terrified at that moment. Her shapely bust heaved as she continued to pant.
“Sh*t. That was terrifying. One person, just one, taking down the entire group of Vietnamese cultivators. That man really is a G.o.d among killing machines.”
That young woman seemed to have yet to recover from that terrifying slaughter from before.
“I guess he didn’t find us then.”
That shriveled old man shook his head and said, “No, there is no doubt that he did. He definitely found us, and I was able to sense that much when he looked in our direction. He absolutely knew where we were.
“We’re lucky that he doesn’t seem like someone who enjoys killing, and that probably prevented him from taking us out, even after finding out where we were.”
That old man elaborated slowly. The feeling of being lucky was seen in his expression.
If Lu Xuan were to really come at them back then, he knew very well that he probably would be unable to take even a single attack.
That old man had initially been very, very confident in his cultivation level before. Invincible Vajras were considered masters among masters everywhere they went in the world, and that was also why he dared to take his student with him.
He thought that his current cultivation prowess would have allowed him to escape in one piece without problems, even if he were to be unable to fight effectively.
However, he never expected to encounter such a monster, who managed to kill even the likes of Invincible Vajras with just one single move.
That young man put down Invincible Vajras like they were dogs.
It took only a single instant to pummel his pride of being an Invincible Vajra to the ground.
“Master, who is that guy? How did he get so terrifying?”
That pretty young woman clapped at her heaving chest, and she still looked very frightened.
She had never seen any slaughter that was as terrifying as this one in her life.
It was not that the slaughter itself was a very brutal one, but that Lu Xuan was able to kill Invincible Vajras without breaking a sweat. That young man was so terrifying that he was even able to kill a whole group of Deity Level fighters, who were not all that far from her in terms of fighting prowess, with no more than a single attack.
The ease with which it was done made it look like he was killing insects.
“If I’m not mistaken, he was probably that man named Lu Xuan who popped out just a while ago,” that old man commented in awe.
“I’ve been in this business for years and have seen my fair share of young capable fighters, but I’ve never seen someone as terrifying as him. I guess I finally learn what ‘there is someone always better than you out there’ means. So, my student, remember to always stay humble. While you’ve no doubt been able to get to Deity Level at such a young age, and you’re merely steps away from becoming even an Invincible Vajra, remember that there is always someone out there who is better than you are. If you are to be prideful, I’ll probably end up having to collect your dead body somewhere.”
That pretty young woman looked rather displeased and added, “Look who’s talking, Master. I remember very well before we headed out, that you said that there were few capable of standing toe-to-toe to you in the whole wide world, so much so that you’d be able to win against the likes of the great three—the Dragon, Adam, and Saint Peter.”
That old man blushed. He remembered how boastful he had been before the trip, and then there he was, frightened to his core by someone else.
However, that was an exasperating experience, nonetheless, due to the fact that he had not lied. He had truly fought Adam before, and he was actually able to escape without any problems even though he was surrounded by Adam and the latter’s gang.
But, given how he was totally frightened by Lu Xuan right there and then, it seemed as if he had only been bluffing before.
“Things are different with Lu Xuan, you know!” The old man continued to argue as he blushed. “He really, really is different, okay. That young man is even more terrifying than the Dragon during his youth!”
The old man intended to argue further, emphasizing that it was not his fault being frightened to the core, as Lu Xuan was simply too terrifying.
It was not the fact that Lu Xuan killed that was terrifying, but how he was able to dispose of Invincible Vajras and Deities alike. It was as if they were little more than mere ants. If the old man were to take on beings of such numbers, the best he would have been able to do was to escape in one piece.
While he would have been able to boast of his capabilities even just being able to escape, he was hardly even worth mentioning when compared to Lu Xuan.
“But then again, Penglai Island is really getting a lot rowdier now. I bet that Peach Tree of Immortality will eventually fall into Lu Xuan’s hands. I’m sure of it. Those d.a.m.ned foreigners kept bullying us Huaxians, thinking that there were none among us capable of taking on their best. Well, now they’ll have a taste of their own medicine,” the old man snorted and said.
The era in which he spent his youth was the era where xenophobic sentiments were most p.r.o.nounced. As such, he developed an inherent hostility to all foreign cultivators by default, and it went without saying that his enmity towards those foreign cultivators ganging up on Huaxian cultivators was even worse.
The commotion was so huge that even the Huaxian cultivators who were not serving the government were caught in the crossfire.
The fact that cultivation forces from other parts of the world harboring enmity against Huaxian cultivators was nothing new, after all.
“Those foreign savages are only fit for licking our boots. If it hadn’t been for Liu Bowen severing the Dragon’s vein, those b*stards wouldn’t even get to throw their weight around. It’d have been goodwill on our part for not invading their place instead,” the old man added.
“How about we go and take a closer look, Master? I think Lu Xuan is now in a rush because he probably knows that the Dragon and Ming Yueyao are in trouble. He is most probably on his way to save them,” that pretty young woman added right away.
The young woman looked rather agitated when she thought about Lu Xuan, and the feeling of awe was seen in her eyes.
“Yeah, yeah, you’re not fooling anyone, girl. You just wanna get to know the boy because you find him cute.” The old man clapped on his forehead and shook his head as he commented. He knew all too well about the temperament of that disciple of his.
She was very capable and decent in just about everything as far as being a disciple was concerned. Her only apparent weakness was her being fond of good-looking guys and wanting to know just about any good-looking young man she came across.
“Master, Confucius said it himself, ‘The yearning for food and s.e.x is part of human nature,’ and my fondness for good-looking is just part of human nature as well,” that pretty young woman answered in a serious manner.
“By the way, didn’t you tell me to go out and get to know young, capable people better, Master? Isn’t this a better chance than any other? So what are we waiting for? The cute guy might actually need our help.”
She dragged the old man and went after Lu Xuan.
The old man felt exasperated at his disciple’s antics. That was never his intention, to begin with. He wanted her to go out and meet young, capable people because he wanted to keep her ego in check. He wanted to prevent her from thinking no one else was more powerful than her save for the heavens, the earth, and her Master.
Monsters like Lu Xuan were never what he considered to be “young, capable people,” as he was anything but someone they were capable of messing with.
Furthermore, the likes of the young, capable people he meant were those who emerged fresh out of training and were making their way in the world. Lu Xuan, on the other hand, was already a monster who had annihilated three cultivation forces on his own. The number of Invincible Vajras who died at his hands was more than what one was able to count on one hand.
Is that boy even human to begin with? he wondered.
Man, people really get stupid when the thought of s.e.x gets to their heads. Good-looking people are nothing but trouble.
The same applies to guys as well.
On the other side, Lu Xuan was, without a doubt, totally oblivious to what those two were thinking about him. He was moving at breakneck speed, blitzing throughout the entire island.
There were barriers and traps laid out everywhere on the island. Lu Xuan found a number of dead bodies around said traps. Many who had inadequate training died right there and then by those traps.
However, none of those tricks were capable of escaping his Delusion-breaker Eyes, which was why he was capable of traveling at such frightening speeds on the island.
He eventually saw someone.
That someone wore a golden robe, like those of the Amaterasu-gumi.
