When Jiang Fei went over to accept the quest, he realized that he knew the person who issued the War Quest against the Dragon race.
"Ah Fei, long time no see!" Elder Prince Otis greeted Jiang Fei from afar.
"Why did you come personally?" Jiang Fei was surprised. He was not expecting Odis to personally issue the quests to fight against the Dragon race.
"Since we are preparing for a full-blown war, I just have to show up!" Odis laughed. He was now in charge of issuing quests to players. Once the war escalated to the next stage, he would lead the army to battle against the Dragon race.
The Nephilim King originally had two very capable sons. One of them was the Elder Prince Odis, while the other was the Fourth Prince Curtis. Although Curtis had a terrible personality, he was still very capable and therefore received a lot of attention from the Nephilim King.
However, now that Curtis had died and his corpse could not even be found, the Nephilim King was left only with Odis as his successor. Therefore, Odis naturally had to prove himself in the impending war against the Dragon race.
"Hehe, congratulations!" Jiang Fei laughed. Clearly, the Nephilim King had begun treating Odis as his successor.
"Haha! Stop teasing me. Oh, right. Why did you come over?" Odis asked.
"Of course I have brought my men over to help you out!" Jiang Fei said.
"That's fine and dandy. However, is your group capable enough?" Odis was still uncertain about Jiang Fei's reputation amongst the players.
"Is there a requirement to accept the quest?" Jiang Fei was stunned.
"This quest requires one hundred Level 70 players," Odis said.
"Darn. Why is this quest so difficult?" Jiang Fei asked curiously. Although several days had pa.s.sed, less than one-tenth of all players had reached Level 70.
"Are you brave enough to touch a dragon's egg?" Odis laughed.
"Touch a dragon's egg?" Jiang Fei was dumbfounded. He had heard about touching a bird's egg before. Could the Nephilim race be asking players to steal a dragon's eggs?"
"Of course, you get to keep the dragon eggs that you steal!" Odis said.
"d.a.m.n!" Jiang Fei was truly shocked by the generosity.
Odis made it very clear that players would have to enter a dragon's nest to steal the dragon eggs. If they succeeded, they would be able to keep the dragon eggs which would eventually hatch into dragon pets.
Although Jiang Fei had owned a pet for a very long time and had been continuously distributing Soldier Ant Eggs through Lady Casanova, there was still a lack of pets in the market. Even some of the richer players in Empyreal Dragon had not been able to get their pets, let alone players in other guilds.
Therefore, apart from Hunters and Magicians who possessed pets by default, only a small group of players owned pets. As for the normal players, they would sell the pet eggs in the market if they owned any. Very few could afford to keep the pet eggs for themselves.
Now, the system clearly wanted to normalize pet ownership through the War Quest. Dragon eggs were only the beginning. The game would probably start introducing various types of pet eggs afterward.
Even if the players obtained the dragon eggs, they would not be able to hatch the eggs into full-grown dragons immediately. In fact, not many players could afford the cost of raising a full-grown dragon. Most of the players would only be able to keep their pets as baby dragons.
Even so, the weakest pet dragon would still be stronger than the Elite Soldier Ants Jiang Fei distributed to his guild members. A dragon was stronger than an ant no matter what.
"This is the target location!" Odis waved as he sent Jiang Fei a location marker. At the same time, Jiang Fei received a system notification.
"Ding! Odis has issued a War Dungeon Quest: Destroy the Dragon's Nest! Do you accept?"
"Yes! We'll get ready to depart right away!" Jiang Fei nodded as he accepted the quest.
After leaving the quest hall, Jiang Fei was surrounded by Billy Boy and the others.
"Guild master, have you accepted the quest?"
"What quest is it?"
"Yeah, guild master, tell us!"
Although some other guilds had already accepted the quest, Billy Boy and the others were unable to acquire any useful information because of how secretive the other guilds were.
"It's a Dungeon Quest," Jiang Fei said blandly.
"What about the rewards?" Lady Casanova asked.
"Pet eggs! In fact, dragon eggs!" Jiang Fei laughed.
"Darn! Dragon eggs?" Seven Stars Warrior and the others were overjoyed. They looked very eager.
"I've heard there are quite many dragon eggs in the dungeon. If we do this right, we might get more than one for each person!" Jiang Fei laughed.
"Guild master, when do we depart?" Seven Stars Warrior was already getting impatient. He was now wearing a full set of equipment made by Jiang Fei. He had his own set of Rainbow weapons. Basically, there was nothing else he could ask for. The only thing missing was a strong pet.
"Form a group of one hundred players. They all have to be above Level 70," Jiang Fei said.
"Alright! I will form the group immediately. Although the dungeon requires high-level players, it's hardly a challenge for our guild to get one or even two hundred Level 70 players," Lady Casanova immediately responded. She was the person in charge of guild activities and forming groups.
After about an hour, all of the players selected by Lady Casanova had gathered. As it was a dungeon battle, Billy Boy voluntarily excluded himself. He proceeded to bring the PvP players to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Lady Casanova and Seven Stars Warrior stayed by Jiang Fei's side to a.s.sist him in the dungeon.
Jiang Fei took the opportunity to check the Level Ranking Board while the group was being formed. Although he had not been online for several days, he still ranked first at Level 90.
The second place no longer belonged to a member of Empyreal Dragon. Instead, it belonged to a player named Unlucky Rich Cake who was Level 77. Seven Stars Warrior ranked third at Level 77 as well. He must have lagged behind recently due to the Cla.s.s compet.i.tion.
Four out of the remaining top ten places belonged to players from Empyreal Dragon. Little Rain and Hazy Memory were both on the list. The only thing that bothered Jiang Fei was that the talkative Anew Returner also made it into the list. Although he was only at the tenth place, it was still a surprise to Jiang Fei because Anew Returner was a tanker type player and should not be able to level up so quickly. The other players from Empyreal Dragon were only able to level up quickly because Jiang Fei had brought them along with him on two Escorting Quests.
After forming the group, Lady Casanova made Jiang Fei the new group leader. The group then departed from the Demon Dragon Fortress as they headed toward the dungeon.
