Chapter 32.1: Death Match

In the Crown Princess Eastern Palace, Duanmu Xi stared coldly at the several black robed women who stood before her to block her way.

"Phoenix Fifth?"

She only knew Phoenix Fifth among the women, but she a.s.sumed that they were probably Mother's Phoenix Guards.

Facing Duanmu Xi who had a murderous glint in her eyes, Phoenix Fifth felt her heart tremble. Among these people, only she knew the Crown Princess the best, so she had to steel herself to take a step forward.

"Apologies to Her Highness the Crown Princess. Your subordinate is only doing this under the Lady Emperor's orders. I beg for Her Highness the Crown Princess to forgive me for the crime."

Duanmu Xi's brows knitted up. [Mother is really…..]

"Out of my way."

Her icy gaze swept over the Phoenix Guards before her eyes, and there was already impatience in Duanmu Xi's face.

If it was not for the fact that she knew they had no ill intentions, she would not be so patient to quibble with them at all.

Upon hearing the order, they looked at each other and then turned to Duanmu Xi and shook their heads in unison.

"I'll give all of you one last chance. Get out of this princess' way."

At the same time that Duanmu Xi's icy voice ordered, she let out her Spirit Supreme aura in a flare.

When Phoenix Fifth and the others felt the oppressive aura of a Spirit Supreme, all of them stared at Duanmu Xi, their faces like they had just seen a ghost.

[What is going on?]

[Was that Spirit Supreme aura coming out from Her Highness the Crown Princess?]

[That's impossible! They must be mistaken. Her Highness the Crown Princess is incapable of practicing any martial arts at all, much less cultivate spirit energy! So how could she possibly possess a Spirit Supreme's aura! ?]

Seeing that none of them were showing any intention of budging, Duanmu Xi's eyes turned cold, and was just about to release her Water Spirit powers.

"Little Xi."

"Snowy."

Upon seeing Xuanyuan Mo, Duanmu Xi immediately retracted the gathered spirit energy.

"I'll bring you out from here."

Xuanyuan Mo clasped his arm around Duanmu Xi and soared up into the air to leave the Eastern Palace.

The two of them were already gone for a long while while Phoenix Fifth and the others still had not recovered their senses.

Hidden behind a red pillar, Long Xing and Long Chen were equally stunned, their faces frozen in shocked expressions.

"Long Xing, do we still need to go chase down the Her Highness the Crown Princess now?"

"Moron! Is there even a need for us to go chase Her Highness the Crown Princess after what we just saw? We should be rushing over to the Vermillion Bird Arena to go watch the duel instead!"

"Right right right. Her Highness the Crown Princess will be known far and wide."

[Such a young Spirit Supreme. You will not be able to find another one under the entire Heavens.]

Just as the incense stick at the Vermillion Bird Arena was right about to burn out, Xuanyuan Mo brought Duanmu Xi flying in to stand onto the Vermillion Bird Arena stage.

Upon seeing Duanmu Xi appear, the audience that had already almost all given up from impatience suddenly perked right back up.

"It's the Crown Princess. The Crown Princess has really shown up."
