Chapter 2.1 : Soul Traversed into a Strange World

On a little island on the southern end of the Heaven's Sea Continent, a white clothed young lady lay unmoving upon the beach, as an ice blue crystal ball rolled beside her.

A little translucent greyish blue coloured sprite landed upon the young lady's cheek and with her wings fluttering gently, she cried: "Mistress wake up….. Mistress wake up….."

It was not known how long had pa.s.sed before the young lady's fingers twitched a little, and then slowly came awake.

Duanmu Xi struggled to peer through her eyes, her mind a chaotic blur. Hearing Little Shadow's cries, she smacked herself on her own head a few times as she slowly sat up.

[Where is this place? She had actually survived after jumping off from the helicopter?]

"Mistress, I used a profound spirit secret skill to bring you to this Heaven Sea's Continent.

When Little Shadow recalled the situation back then, she could still feel the lingering fear. If she had not appeared just in the nick of time, her Mistress could now already be…..

"Heaven's Sea Continent?"

Duanmu Xi subconsciously creased up her brows.

"We are in the Heaven's Sea Continent here, a parallel dimension from the world we were from. The situation was critical back then and I had no other choice. But I do not know what went wrong in between but Mistress, you….." Little Shadow said hesitantly as she looked at Duanmu Xi.

Duanmu Xi was still holding her head as she looked at the hesitant Little Shadow, not understanding. "What is it?"

Little Shadow gritted her teeth and spilled the entire truth to her Mistress. "Mistress, you….. you became small."

Little Shadow bit her lip, feeling rather guilty.

It was only then that Duanmu Xi noticed that her hands had become smaller, and her body had also turned smaller as well.

In a moment of panic, Duanmu Xi scrambled to pick up the crystal ball beside her, seeking to see how she looked. Upon the crystal ball, was the reflection of a white clothed girl. The young girl looked to be about ten years of age, a head of luxurious black hair spread a little messily up to her waist, her skin fair and smooth like cream with a little tinge of baby fat on her face. Her pair of deep violet eyes looked bewildered and what should be pink and luscious lips were at that moment a pale white.

What's going on? She had turned to look like when she was ten years old?

How did it become like this? Should she be feeling happy that she had become younger by seven years or should she be sad that she would have to live her life again from being ten.

Duanmu Xi composed herself and looked at herself reflected in the crystal ball.

No, the clothes were not right.

Duanmu Xi frantically tried to pull her clothes open but the white top just would not open no matter how she tugged and pulled at it.

Neither of those two had noticed that on a huge tree far away, a pair of amber eyes were currently watching their every action with a cold gaze.

[Why was there someone on this deserted island? Could they have come here because of the Water Spirit Fruit?]

After a period of struggling, Duanmu Xi was finally able to undo the front of her clothes that revealed the lotus coloured undergarment. Under the sun's bright rays, her fair and smooth skin shone with a jadelike l.u.s.tre.

Upon seeing such a beautiful sight, the pair of amber eyes flashed with a bright glint before averting their gaze, to look someplace else, but a suspicious red flush then came to stain that flawlessly handsome looking face.

Duanmu Xi lowered her head to look on the right side of her belly b.u.t.ton. It wasn't there. Really wasn't. She stretched her hand out to feel around in disbelief. The skin there was smooth as suet jade. This really wasn't her original body.

Little Shadow was speechless as she looked at Duanmu Xi's actions, her lips stiffening as she said: "Mistress, mind your image a little will you? Even though there is no one here, there is still a little sprite here you know?"

"Little Shadow, this is not the original body I had." Duanmu Xi said with certainty as she adjusted her clothes, but the clothes here seemed to be especially troublesome to deal with.

[….. What did her Mistress mean by that? She clearly looks the same as before, but just a little smaller than before.]

Hearing Little Shadow's thoughts to herself, Duanmu Xi's brows knitted up tightly together. "I merely look the same, but this body does not have the scar from the operation on my appendix. So, it seems like it was my spirit soul that travelled through the dimensions into this body."
