Ning Meng Yao couldn't help but roll her eyes at the two when she heard their unreasonable words: "You two, that's enough. What nonsense are the both of you saying?"

Qiao Tian Chang raised his brows and looked at Ning Meng Yao. He was clearly smiling broadly: "I did not say wrongly. Who asks my wife to be beautiful?"

Ning Meng Yao smiled after staring at Qiao Tian Chang: "Are we still not leaving?"

"Let's go," Ning Meng Yao smiled and said softly as she looked at Qiao Tian Chang who was slightly frowning.

There was already a carriage waiting when the two of them arrived at the entrance. Qiao Tian Chang only went up after helping Ning Meng Yao up.

They arrived at the palace entrance not long after. Qiao Tian Chang got down from the carriage first, then he turned around and huddled Ning Meng Yao down from the carriage.

He ignored the surrounding people's gazes and he pulled Ning Meng Yao towards the front, they had only taken a few steps and could sense a heated gaze directed at them.

Ning Meng Yao unconsciously turned her head and saw Xiao Yi Lin using a weird gaze to look at her. Ning Meng Yao felt displeased with that gaze.

After sensing Ning Meng Yao's sudden spike in anger, Qiao Tian Chang lowered his head: "What's wrong?"

"I dislike Xiao Yi Lin's gaze," Ning Meng Yao frowned. She did not hide her disgust towards Xiao Yi Lin.

Qiao Tian Chang raised his eyebrows. He turned his head to look at Xiao Yi Lin and noticed him staring rudely at Ning Meng Yao.

With a heavy gaze, Qiao Tian Chang looked at Xiao Yi Lin while filled with bloodl.u.s.t: "Duke Xiao, don't you think you've been staring for too long?"

His icy cold voice caused the surrounding people to move further away from them. When Xiao Yi Lin returned to his senses, he realized he had been absent-minded while looking at Ning Meng Yao, and he couldn't help but frown.

Li Lin Er had a gloomy face as she stared at Ning Meng Yao, she sneered: "Vixen."

Qiao Tian Chang's gaze fell on Li Lin Er: "Say that one more time."

Li Lin Er's expression became ugly in an instant. She, who was a royal, was actually threatened by a general. She might become a laughing stock if words were to spread.

Xiao Yi Lin's expression was ugly when he heard the women gathered around them whispering behind them. Their gaze when they looked at Li Lin Er was filled with disdain.

Xiao Yi Lin did not know if he had sensed wrongly. He had even sensed weird gazes landing on him, which caused his expression to be really ugly.

He turned his head and glared angrily at Li Lin Er. Using a low voice, he whispered in her ear: "If you wish to continue being locked in the courtyard, then continue disgracing me."

Li Lin Er's rage was immediately extinguished. She tightly bit her lips as she stared at Xiao Yi Lin before lowering her head soon after.

If it wasn't for the importance of the banquet, she guessed it was impossible for Xiao Yi Lin to let her out. Furthermore, there were quite a number of women who treated her like a joke and wish to replace her, she would only be at a disadvantage if she continued squabbling with Xiao Yi Lin.
