The Friendly Wedding Chapter 15.1

While drinking milk, Sapphire was fixedly staring at Johann walking topless inside the house.

It seemed like something has changed to his body. Two weeks already pa.s.sed after her birthday and she has grown more accustomed to him. The two of them were now really friends. They're even closer than closest of friends, as if much more better than best friends.

That has been Sapphire's reason to freely survey the change in Johann's body in the past couple of days. Sometimes, she was openly sizing him up and Johann would not care at all.

"You're minding my body again. What if you fell in love that way?" he said with a grin when he noticed what she was doing.

She wiped her mouth using a table napkin after finishing her gla.s.s of milk. "Your body… Why is it that your muscles are now more defined? And how the h.e.l.l did you get that… that abs trace?" she asked in disbelief. Her eyes were repeatedly blinking.

She was not mistaken, he still has no abs but… but they're already forming on his tummy.

He laughed. "I'm working out, obviously! I enrolled at Dylan's gym. He invited me over for a program to develop abs. I only have to give out an hour per day to gain them," he said as he tapped his stomach.

She raised her eyebrow. "You're going to the gym already? Since when?"  She didn't notice it at all since there was no change in his time of leaving and arriving at home from work.

"Since after your birthday. I thought to myself, perhaps it's already time for me to take care of my body. I was always stressed up in teaching. At least if my body would turn beautiful, I'd leave teaching and go dance in a gay bar."

She laughed and imagined Johann dancing in a bar full of gay audience cheering for him while taking off his clothes until the last piece of his undergarment. Then, Johann would be wiggling his nice a.s.s.

Her own imagination made her feel disgusted. "So eww, Husband." She crossed her arms. "Just say so if since my birthday you've been jealous of your cousins' bodies. Admit it, they looked immaculate with their freaking abs."

He put his hands on his waist. And she could swear that she saw his muscles flexing. Biceps! Gosh! The biceps on his arms were now very evident.

"I'm not an envious man, Wife. I don't envy my cousins for anything. And so what? I want to gain abs since I'm already working out."

"Are you trying to impress me?" she teased.

"A bit. But aside from that, I'm also being serious about having a healthy lifestyle. I'm no longer that young. My back always ached whenever I check test papers. Tsk. I'm only thirty-three but I feel like I'm already so old because of those back aches."

She pouted. "It's all because you're too serious about your work. After you check your students' papers, you directly go lesson planning and lecture making on your laptop. Naturally, you're always slouching. How else would your back aches? You're also doing things at your small center table even if you have a work table In our room."

He sat beside her. "What if I disturbed your sleep? That's why I have to do my work outside."

"You can do the work inside the room, eh. Don't mind me. In the first place, the room was originally yours."

"I'm fine here. I can manage it, especially now with the current me. Working out is the right choice for me. The abs for you is only a bonus," he said as he winked.

She rolled her eyes at him. "It's tough to maintain abs. Yours was not that refined yet. Even if you have no abs, it's still okay, you know? You can just go exercise." From what she knew, working out for abs was very challenging than those simple exercises that Johann should have done. Everyday he would go home exhausted and he still want to tire himself to death with work outs?

He put his arm on where she was leaning. "Tss. You, Wife. You're such a mess. Before, you used to annoy me due to my lack of abs. Now that I'm having it, you're going against it. What? Aym konpyus." (TN: I’m confused)

If he got some abs, what else could she use as teasing material for him? Moreover, she's not really into guys with overly beautiful physiques. Johann's body is just enough. His built is just right. "If you really want to live a healthy life, why not join me in my yoga cla.s.s?"

"Yoga?"

She nodded. "It's better. More relaxing and healthier. Come with me this Sat.u.r.day. Let's do yoga together."

His eyes gleamed. "I could already notice that in the past days, you were always bringing me to your activities. Like when you pulled me over to buy groceries with you, or supervised your bookstore's construction. And now, we'll be joining a yoga cla.s.s together!" He straightforwardly stared at her eyes. "I want to think already that you're being excessively… what do we call it? Ah! Clingy!"

Her brows automatically met. She stood up and walked far from him. "You can say no if you don't want to do yoga. You're talking too much."

However, she's kinda guilty of his accusation. Clingy? Is she being like that? All she knows, she only want to be with him all the times.
