The Friendly Wedding Chapter 0

TL: This is the long version of the synopsis.

Sapphire has to get married. As in! Immediately! If not, she won't get her part of the inheritance left to them by their grandma who was already called by the heaven.

The problem is, she has no boyfriend. She never had and has no plan of having one in the future. Her Mom was a single mother and while Sapphire was growing up, she witnessed how men hurt her Mom. That's why she swore to herself that she will never never ever get herself a boyfriend or husband.

So, what to do?

But of course, the timeless solution and undying answer : to make the future groom her accomplice and enter a contract with him! The marriage can last one year and then she will get her money.

She sought help from her cousin Reeve because she's betting that he knew some decent guys who will agree to her crazy plan. And she was surprised when her ever-so-serious cousin referred someone.

He said for her to try talking to Reeve's wife's brother - Johann Lawrence Anderson.

When she saw the guy, he immediately pa.s.sed her standards! He was older than her by four years, good-looking, has strong s.e.x appeal, a respected professor,  has maintained his healthy body - though there's no abs, only flat stomach. But that will do! Witty and gentleman. His sense of humor was also attractive.

Perfect!

"Do you think he will agree? Why did you refer him?" she asked her cousin.

Reeve, her cousin, shrugged. "He's brokenhearted. He was rejected by my step sister who he claimed was his true and first love. He also couldn't find his best friend. My wife thinks that his brother is just trying to be happy but deeply hurting inside. Maybe he will agree to your condition, just to divert his attention."

In simple words, Johann is vulnerable. So when she discussed this to him in detail, his answer was an 'Okay, no problem.'

Due to extreme joy, Sapphire offered him to be her friend so that they can be comfortable with each other in their whole year of settling down under a single roof as married couple.

Her problems were solved! She can now get her inheritance and her husband will not be a headache as well since they are 'friends'.

But, wait! Why was it that after they started living in the same house, she feels like he was always seducing her?! She thought he was brokenhearted, eh, why was he always flirting with her?!

"Don't flirt with me!" one time she reprimanded him.

He laughed. "I'm not flirting with you, hey! I'm only being friendly with you."

Friendly?! Which part of his topless modelling inside the house was friendly?

And her 'friendly husband' was gaining abs.
