CHAPTER 76
Samuel had been watching as well…But was seeing no difference in Talon. He didn’t look any better!
As the time slowly went by, Samuel got more and more worried that he had let an intruder in, that may harm his father!
Finally looking at the other person again, in the start of a rage, Samuel stopped…
With my eyes closed…I was found out. Yet, with my eyes opened, no one would know…But, another aspect had given me away, that coincided with my eyes being closed…My natural looking, frowning face.
I looked older, but with my eyes closed and mouth slightly curved downwards, someone who knew me beforehand…
“Sa…Sahara…”
I was ignorant of his words or thoughts, as I continued to memorize places, in which to get back at Borak.
After another couple of minutes, I decided that I will leave Talon like this for now, just to make sure I pay back in full.
It wasn’t like I couldn’t come back and check…It was also just to make sure that Talon still wasn’t involved. If he was seen walking around and I hadn’t got to Borak…
Ah, I’m in no hurry, and I didn’t really have all the much spiritual essence left anyway.
Searching a body is different to cleansing it and whatnot. To a small degree, right now, I was saving the rest of my spiritual essence for the one who I wanted to use it for…I guess that was the main reason…
If I need to have a break, I’ll do it after I pay back Borak…
Breathing deeply, I pulled back my hand and opened my eyes, that had now gone back to a brilliant, shiny red.
It was time for payback!
“Sahara?”
Finally hearing Samuel’s voice, I turned to him on impulse. “What?”
Seeing my reaction, Samuel’s eyes widened in astonishment, “Sahara!?”
Who could blame him from not believing!? The sister that was supposed to die…
I stared at him and then realized my own mistake.
Dam…I’m not good at this incognito stuff, am I? My cover wasn’t blown just once, but twice…
I started to get the impression that I may have to give this ‘gender bender’ idea away…
It really sucked, this wasn’t a book where the main character always seems to give no indication whatsoever, that they are actually someone else.
But, dammit, I wish it was! Haha! I already had a name picked out and everything!
Sighing to my own acting skills, I decided to ignore the loveable Samuel, which is the opposite to what ‘Sahara’ would do.
“Naruto!”
When the fox jumped onto my shoulder, I disappeared.
Actually, I need to be shot! Disappearing like that, just made Samuel grow even more certain, that I was his long, lost sister!
Having teleported to Borak’s courtyard, I saw that he wasn’t there yet…So, I sat down on the roof impatiently.
It was still new in my head, all those points that I must repay…
But, my eldest brother didn’t return for at least an hour.
Even though I was impatient, I was able to recuperate some of my spiritual essence and have something to eat.
Borak came back all alone, he was breathing heavy and moving fast. There was obviously something that he was worried about.
I watched him through a star for a while, smiling at his misfortune of losing everyone on his side.
Suddenly, he kicked a table, and then wiped his hand over the entire top of the table, making things crash to the floor.
“Argh! Dammit! Who is it!?”
Still smiling, I continued to watch him losing hope. For all the time that Talon was unable to do something, I had no ounce of sympathy to the person who was breaking the rest of the things in his own courtyard. The revenge that I had done for him, with my ‘mother’, was already forgotten…
You have just been haunted, by me! Haha!
Borak was frantic. At first, he was happy. The fate of his mother…The reason she had died, had been annihilated! Borak was even satisfied with how he had seen the corpse, as the corpse was in such a state, that you wouldn’t want to show it to anybody!
Having walked in, to see the killer of his mother hanging lifelessly like that, made him let go of something that had troubled him for well over a decade. The blood, the bite marks…Even the words, looked like the devil himself had personally come to take her life away!
It was like he had been set free from some sort of chain!
