Chapter 3: The Three of Them

When the little girl finished ate her portion of bread, she cried while consuming her last portion of food.

“Bad guys bullied me.” Said the little girl while dripping tears.

Keith wipes the little girl's tears and asked her “who and what reason did they bullied you little girl?”

The little girl stopped crying and a snorted a little, she didn’t said a word to Keith.

The little girl holds Keith's hands and tells him “mister, please protect me from those bad peoples please.”

The little girl holds Keith's hands tightly while holding her tears from dripping.

Keith felt bad for what had happened to the little girl.

“Do you have a home to return to?” Asked Keith to the little girl.

The little girl swings her head left to right to shows that she doesn't have a home to return to.

Keith took his bucket and placed it in the river. The bucket is filled with fresh rivers water.

Keith asked the little girl “what’s your name?”

She answered “My name is Scylla Leonhardt.”

“Do you want to follow me?” Asked Keith to Scylla.

Scylla nods her head. It shows that she wants to follow Keith to his home.

“Can you walk with that injury?” Asked Keith.

She replied “this is nothing for me.” with a cute voice.

Keith holds her hand with his left hand while the other hand is holding the bucket full of water and walks her to his home.

When they arrived at Keith's home, they say that the Hunter is sleeping on the ragged sofa that Keith has.

Scylla asked Keith while pointing her right index finger at the Hunter “bad guy?”

Keith answered her politely “that is my sensei.”

“Sensei?” Asked Scylla about with a confusion in her mind.

“Yes, he is a good man so don't worry about him.” Answered Keith.

The Hunter opened his left eye and asked Keith “got the water that I ordered you?”

“Here it is.” Answered Keith to his sensei.

“Go get me a cup.” Said the Hunter.

The Hunter looked at Keith's hand, and asked him “where did you found her?”

“I found her beside the river. She was sleeping there.” Answered Keith.

Keith let go of Scylla’s arm and fetch some cup that his sensei ordered him and pour the water into the cups.

The girl walks towards the Hunter and asked him while pointing her right Index finger “bad guy?”

The Hunter smiled and answered her “I’m a good gentleman.”

The Hunter raise his left hand and rubbed the little girls long brown hair and asked “what is your name little girl?”

The girl answered with a beautiful smile “my name is Scylla Leonhardt.”

“What is your name mister?” Asked Scylla to the Hunter.

The Hunter laughed and answered “just call me papa.”

The Hunter laughed.

“Alright papa.” Said Scylla to the Hunter.

Keith serves the water that he poured for the three of them and put it on the short table that he build from woods.

The three of them drinks the water that Keith served.

“When will start my training?” Asked Keith to his sensei.

“What do you mean by that? Your training already started Keith.” Answered the Hunter

“What do you mean by that?” Asked Keith with a confusion while scratching his head.

“It has already started when you go pick the water up at the river.” Answered his sensei.

“Can you really call that training sensei?” Asked Keith.

“Just do what I said and you’ll be able to be like me in no time.” Said The Hunter while showing his thumb at Keith.

“For now just go do some training with the katana that I gave to you.”

“Swing the katana 1000 swings per day. And after a month you’ll be swinging the katana 5000 swings per day.” Said the hunter to his disciple.

“Isn’t that too hard for me, a boy at my age sensei?” Asked Keith at his sensei.

“That is just light training, the training starts to the next level when you can cut a rock in half.” Said the Hunter.

“Is that even possible sensei?” Asked Keith at his sensei.

“You really like to ask questions do you? Just do what I said.”

“Go swing the katana right now this instantly.” Said the Hunter with a sigh.

Scylla smiled and giggles at the two of them and said “you two are funny.”

The Hunter smiled at Scylla and then continued his sleeping session.

Keith grabs his katana “The Oni” and swings the katana. He swung the katana up and down about a 100 time and then rest for a minute.

After his rest he continues his training session with his katana aggressively.

An hour pa.s.sed, Keith finished swung his katana about 500 swings. Keith looked at his sensei and Scylla. They had already fallen asleep with the breeze of air flowing into the house.

Scylla slept soundly with a beautiful smile carved on her face while the Hunter snores loudly besides Scylla.

Keith smiled at the two of them and continued to his training session.

The sun is beginning to set down and the twilight comes nearer. The Hunter yawns and stretches his left arm.

Afterwards, the Hunter looked at Scylla and whispered to himself “what a poor little girl to go through such horrible experience at her age.”

The Hunter looked at Keith and smirk. “This kid do have raw talents with him.”

Keith slept under the tree that is near his house while birds chirping and the wind breezes through the tree leafs.

The Hunter puts his black torn coat on Scylla and then walks to Keith to wake him up.

The Hunter takes a branch and hits Keith's head slowly.

“Wake up sleepy boy, how long do you want to sleep?” Said the Hunter to Keith while still hitting Keith’s head.

“I’m up I’m up sensei!” Said Keith with a yawn while defending his head.

“Is that even necessary sensei? Hitting in the head like that.” Asked Keith to the Hunter with a mad impression.

“How’s your training session. Seems like your hand is pretty messed up huh.” Said the hunter to Keith.

“I had already done the 1000 swings that you asked sensei.” Answered Keith to his sensei.

“Okay now let’s go run about 100 KM right now.”  Said the Hunter.

“Are you being serious right now sensei?” Asked Keith while being in shocked after hearing what his sensei just told him.

“HAHAHA I’m just joking kid.” Said the Hunter while laughing at Keith.

“Let’s go get something to eat while the sun is here.” Said the Hunter.

“Where can we get the food that you asked sensei?” Asked Keith while in confusion.

“We’ll search for some foods in the forest obviously.” Answered the Hunter.

Keith stood up and carry his katana on his back and then begin walks into the forest with his sensei while leaving Scylla sleeping on the sofa soundly.

At the forest the both of them begin searching for animals that can be found easily.

Suddenly the Hunter sensed something that is walking in front of them. They saw a herd of reindeers eating gra.s.s. The Hunter slowly takes out his short crossbow. It seems like he made the short crossbow himself.

The tip of the short crossbows arrow is coated with some nasty liquid that smells deadly.

“What is the content of the arrows liquid you have there sensei?” Asked Keith with a slow tone.

“Shhh you’ll make the reindeers run you know!” Said the hunter slowly.

The Hunter shot one of the reindeers and the other reindeers ran away. The shot reindeer suddenly fell on its knees and screamed.

The hunter finally answered Keith’s earlier question. “The tip of the arrow is covered in poison and dead human’s blood.”

The hunter took out his katana that is called “The Tenshi”. The katana’s holder is covered in white and red same-kawa that is made of ray skin.

He silenced the reindeer and then begin skinning the reindeer. Keith helps the Hunter with the skinning and asked the Hunter “what do we do with the skin?”

“Just use it as a bag of anything that you can think of.” Answered the Hunter.

The hunter gave Keith the skin and they carried the reindeer to Keith’s home.

When the both of them arrived at Keith's house they saw Scylla cried while holding the Hunters coat and ran to Keith as fast as she could. She hugged Keith's waist tightly.

“Don’t leave me Keith. I'm scared.” Said Scylla while still crying on Keith's waist.
