Experiment (Necklace)

“You b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, do you think you’ll get away with doing this!”

The old knight is shouting something with his arms tied up. I ignore it, create new zombies and skeleton and gather the villagers in the center of the village. Perhaps the women and children are uneasy being surrounded by zombies and skeletons, there are some of them screaming and some of them grumbling.

Among the men, a couple of them who partic.i.p.ated in the fight were cut down by the goblin zombies and are on the brink of death. They are probably still alive because of my orders.

Perhaps the elderlies have given up, they are all making the same dispirited face. There was also an old woman who struggled violently saying that she would rather kill herself than to be killed by me. It was a pain so I had the goblin zombie subdue her.

“The Feudal Lord of this territory, Artra-sama won’t leave you guys be! If that person who’s kind to his citizens hears about this, something like you guys are!”

……What a noisy old knight. I don’t mind just killing him but, I’ll make him my underling here. I grab the old knight’s neck who’s still shouting.

Although the other villagers are afraid of my actions, they still didn’t say anything. They all kept quiet so that the aggression wouldn’t point towards them.

Then, I throw the old knight down to where it’s visible to everybody. He was about to shout despite coughing violently so I stepped on his face. There are creaking sounds but, it’s all good since the old knight shut up.

“Now, I’m going to kill this old knight and change him into a zombie. Do you want to save this old knight?”

The villagers nod to my words. But, all of them turn their faces away when they heard what’s next. That is

“Then, one person be a sacrifice in exchange for the old knight. That way I’ll spare the old knight”

It’s because I proposed a sacrifice. When I did that, everybody turns their face away as expected. But, there was a person that came out amongst them.
It was, a very young girl.

“Don, don’t bully Rowley Oji-cha¹!”

The girl hits my leg as she says that. Naturally, there isn’t any pain but……hmm.

“Then, are you going to take the place of this old knight?”

“Wha!? Wa, wait a minute! I’ll kill you if you lay your hands on my daughter!”

“D, dear, stop! And Lucy, come back! Please, forgive us. I beg for your forgiveness!”

When I ask the girl, the man and the woman who can be thought of as the girl’s parents shout. The man looks as if he’s about to jump out at any time with his face dyed in red but, the wife sitting beside him is somehow stopping him.

“Then, which one of you is going to be the sacrifice? I’ll let her go if you do”

The couple is speechless when I say it again. That’s how it is after all. Anyhow their own lives are more important. Well, I’ll restrain from turning the girl into a zombie. Since she won’t be of use even if I do.

I thought of having her become the food to my necklace and stretched my hand towards her when

“St, stop. It’s fine if I become the sacrifice, right?”

A weak voice from my feet came. Looking down, maybe the inside of his mouth snapped because I stepped too hard, the old knight glares at me with blood flowing out of his mouth.

“Well, that’s how it is. Then everyone in the village, it doesn’t matter if this old man dies?”

The villagers remained silent again. I circulate the dark magic art into my leg and pour it into the old knight. Black mist covers the old knight’s body and it enters into the old knight through his mouth, nose, and ear.

Though I’m no longer stepping on him, the old knight is groaning in pain without standing up. Then, he suddenly stops moving after a while. At the same time, I received the soul from the old knight’s body.

It seems that the necklace absorbs it on its own. In that moment, I can hear the old knight’s screams. It’s irritating but, I’ll get used to it if it’s just this much. Furthermore, even though it’s just one person, I can feel my magic power increasing.

“Gururuu”

Oh, it’s completed. The old knight’s body changes into bluish purple and he has become a size bigger than when he was alive. The zombie knight transformation has completed. As soon as the zombie knight sees the frightened villagers, he immediately tries to attack them but I ordered him to stop. These guys can still be used.

After that, I went to the villagers who are on the brink of death. There are 3 of them. I pour magic power into them as I did the old knight and, they change into zombies. Well, they are weak but I’ll make do with it.

“Hmm, then what are you going to do after this, Master. Finish off these guys?”

Perhaps because she thought I was done, Liscia who has been at the side looking asks.
The villagers become even more frightened because of Liscia’s words but,

“No, we’ll let these guys live. It’ll turn into a big uproar if all the villagers suddenly disappear. If it’s just a couple of them then they can say that they were attacked by monsters. Oi, who’s the village chief amongst you guys”

All the villagers look towards the same person after hearing me. Over there was a frightened balding guy. The people around went ‘Hurry up and get to the front’ and forcibly make the village chief move forward. Then, standing in front of me, he looks at me with frightened eyes.

“You guys will live as if nothing has happened from now on. In that time, not a single word to anyone about today. If this matter is exposed and a subjugation force came, I’ll bring you guys down along. Because these guys will be keeping watch, they will convey to me if something happens. Understood?”

The villagers nod to what I say. Though I say this, I’m a.s.suming they will betray me. Instead, there’s no way they wouldn’t betray me. That’s why I left the zombie knight to keep watch.

Even if the zombies were to be defeated, I won’t suffer any loss and I will be informed that they are defeated. At that time, I’ll destroy this village for good.

I shove them into the house the old knight was staying. I can’t have them be too conspicuous. The villagers also returned to their respective houses. It might be good if I also lightly cast some dark magic art’s hypnosis.

“Liscia, let’s make this place our foothold. We’ll head north from here, our final destination is the Holy Kingdom. How’s that?”

“I think it’s fine. Well, I’ll follow whatever path Master chooses, and when it comes time for it I’ll just stand in front and swing my sword. It’s just that, there’s still the need for training. The way you fought just now! You brute-force too much it’s boring!”

Kuu, I can’t say anything when it comes to a fight. After that, I listen to Liscia’s scolding while we put the village behind us. I’m glad I was able to test out the bangle and necklace this time. I have to get better at using these.
