Hu Xiaohua’s eyes nearly popped out. This is the rumored Shui Ye? Addressing herself as “Xiao Shui Shui” in front of Shi Lei? Although she has to be joking, who has ever heard of Shui Ye addressing herself in such a way for another person?
Who on earth is this Shi Lei?!
Hu Xiaohua was actually not the only one reacting in such a way. The others were all going crazy as well. This woman dressed uniquely and her behavior definitely stood out from the rest. She would never be satisfied without startling everyone with her words.
“Hurry up and get lost!” Shi Lei yelled angrily. He didn’t want Song Miaomiao to get involved. She was even crazier than Wei Xingyue, making him wish that he had never met her.
Song Miaomiao rolled her eyes and said, “Well aren’t you heartless? I have good intentions.”
As they were talking, screaming could be heard outside the room and the dark tower soon appeared in the doorway, pulling a woman by the hair. He was expressionless, but the woman screeched as she was thrown into the room.
“Miss, this is the woman,” the dark tower said with his deep voice. “I had to ask a few policemen before I found her. Should I go to the hospital and drag her husband here as well?”
Song Miaomiao grimaced at Shi Lei before saying, “Go, but show some mercy. Don’t kill him on the way here.”
The dark tower nodded and left. If it had not been for Qin Huaiyuan’s wife lying on the floor, it seemed like he had never came.
It was complete chaos in the meeting room. Qin Huaiyuan’s wife was half-crawling, half-rolling toward Chief Feng as she bawled, “Chief Feng, you have to do me justice! I’m the victim here! I reported the case and came to your police station, but I was locked up in a small room instead. Then that vicious-looking man came over and slapped me without a word before I was dragged here!”
They all then noticed that half of her face was swollen. She looked exactly like a Chinese steamed bun, fresh from the tray. Her appearance was awful.
A wave of panic hit Chief Feng. He was at a loss with the sudden changes in the situation. He quickly turned to Zhou Qi, but even he was not sure what was going on either!
Everything had already been decided and planned out before Song Miaomiao entered the room. Zhou Qi had told Chief Feng to make preparations to transfer this case to him after ending his call with the executive. He had also informed his subordinates over at the subbureau. Who knew that Song Miaomiao would intervene while Zhou Qi had arranged everything and was still thinking of how to deal with Chief Feng? She came in like a typhoon, adding drama to the situation and even planning to bring Qin Huaiyuan to the station.
But Qin Huaiyuan hasn’t yet woken up, right?
What kind of people did this Qin Huaiyuan offend?! Zhou Qi felt sorry for him.
He believed Song Miaomiao was no fool. There was no way she wouldn’t know that she was in a police station, and that there would be consequences for causing chaos here. Since she completely ignored such consequences, the only conclusion to make was that she didn’t see the station to be at her level. Caring about the consequences wasn’t worth her time.
Zhou Qi took a deep breath and felt that he had to stabilize the situation. He glanced at Chief Feng and said, “Get this woman out of here! All her screaming is so d.a.m.n noisy!”
Chief Feng immediately called two officers in, but Song Miaomiao raised an eyebrow. “Did I allow her to leave?” she asked coldly.
Shi Lei jumped up. “Song Miaomiao, you lunatic!” he scolded. “Are you out of your mind? Just get lost already! Do you want me to strangle you?!”
Song Miaomiao was not angry by his outburst at all. Instead, she winked at Shi Lei and flirted with him. “Sure. And exactly how is Shi Ye going to strangle me?” Even a fool knew that what she referred to wasn’t what Shi Lei had meant.
“Chief Feng, please take her out…” Shi Lei said without a choice.
Qin Huaiyuan’s wife was still wailing her head off. Chief Feng didn’t dare waste time as he quickly got someone to take her out and closed the door carefully. Chief Feng knew very well that no matter what, he could not afford to make a single enemy out of the people there.
The room finally quieted down. Zhou Qi coughed and said, “My name is Zhou Qi and I am the vice chief of the subbureau. May I know who you are…?”
“Song Miaomiao. She is Song Miaomiao and she is a lunatic. Oh, and she’s from Xi Xi, so she’s not a local. I have no idea why she rushed over here like an idiot.”
Zhou Qi was dumbfounded, but was also processing the information rapidly in his head. She has the surname “Song” and is from Xi Xi. What the h.e.l.l? It’s not that “Song,” is it?
Zhou Qi’s expression kept changing, as did his glances toward Song Miaomiao..
Song Miaomiao was all smiles with Shi Lei, but not with the others.
She knew what Zhou Qi was thinking when she saw the uncertainty on his face. Even though he was just some vice chief of a subbureau and was ranked as section chief, he was probably the highest-ranking officer in this tiny police station. It was normal for him to know Xi Xi’s Song family.
“You don’t have to think so hard. It is the ‘Song’ you are thinking of!”
This sentence confirmed his guess. Zhou Qi started sweating.
What kind of notion was Xi Xi’s Song family? It was similar to someone like Wu Haoyuan meeting Wei Xingyue. But of course, Wu Haoyuan had never met Wei Xingyue and he did not deserve to. So in actuality, Zhou Qi did not have the right to meet the young lady of the Song family.
The status of the Song family was almost the same as that of the Wei Family, or maybe even slightly higher. They were well known, even in neighboring provinces within the Yangtze River Delta(1).
Although Zhou Qi’s words did not carry much weight, he would have heard of big shots such as the Song family. It was a family worth over a few hundred billion yuan. No matter what Song Miaomiao’s status in the family was, as long as she belonged to the Song family and bore the surname of “Song,” she was definitely not someone Zhou Qi could mess with.
“Miss Song, I didn’t know you were coming. Pardon me for not welcoming you…” Zhou Qi thought he sounded stiff, but could not phrase it any better.
Zhang Meimei began to study Song Miaomiao closely. As someone who could deal with the Wei family in Wu Dong, of course she would know about Xi Xi’s Song family.
Zhang Meimei had never met Song Miaomiao in person before, but she was able to match name with appearance.
Shi Lei was actually close with Old Master Song’s beloved, spoiled, undisciplined, and uncontrollable little princess? And their relationship was actually slightly beyond her imagination. Shi Lei did not care about Song Miaomiao, but Song Miaomiao would be there for him and always at his beck and call.
What was the secret behind Teacher Shi?
No matter how she thought about it, Zhang Meimei was still astonished. She just didn’t let it show on her face because she was accustomed to maintaining her composure.
“Chief Zhou, leave this to me. Do you mind stepping out for a little while?” Shi Lei could only say after seeing Zhou Qi unable to utter a single word.
Zhou Qi nodded eagerly and smiled as he left the room.
Shi Lei finally frowned and spoke to Song Miaomiao in displeasure. “Why the h.e.l.l did you come? You even caused so much trouble! I know your family is wealthy and influential, but this is a police station! A law enforcement agency!”
Song Miaomiao laughed heartily and said, “So you knew my family is wealthy and influential! Why didn’t you tell me your family was in trouble? I had to learn about this through another person! Did you know that I just found out about it this morning and anxiously rushed over here? It’s only a police station. I would do the same even in Run Zhou’s city bureau!”
d.a.m.n, she was so domineering!
