Chapter 199 - Second Time Using the Martial Arts App

The two officers bowed as they sent Chief Feng out. They then exchanged a glance. Vicious smiles appeared on their faces.
After the door was closed, Xiao Song dashed toward Shi Lei. Shi Lei had heard Chief Feng’s words and his heart turned slightly cold. You are forcing me to use the Martial Arts Card. When the two officers had left to send Chief Feng off, he’d softly said, “Click on Ancient Times’ Martial Arts.”
“Choose the first master,” he quickly added. “Confirm!”
He gave the commands almost without pause. Shi Lei knew that he was successfully possessed by the martial arts master, even though there was no reaction at the moment. It was obviously the same as it was the other day. When Shi Lei was attacked, the master would immediately change his body.
Xiao Song grabbed his collar and grinned evilly. “Brat, you didn’t want to listen to what’s good for you and just had to force me to use violence.” He pulled on the collar, attempting to pull Shi Lei down.
But Shi Lei didn’t even budge.
Right now, he could feel infinite strength coursing through his body just like the night when he faced the two underground boxers. Those two couldn’t even withstand him with their punches and kicks, let alone this Xiao Song, who relied purely on strength.
Xiao Song was dumbfounded. He was more than one hundred and eighty centimeters tall and weighed more than eighty kilograms. Although he didn’t work out as much as before, he should still be much better than a thin youngster who was barely over one hundred and seventy centimeters tall. He thought that he could put him down, but didn’t expect…
“Hey, brat! You sure have some power!” Xiao Song said, sending a kick his way.
Shi Lei’s gaze turned cold and turned his body forty something degrees, easily dodging Xiao Song’s kick. He shifted his shoulder, which collided with Xiao Song’s chest.
Xiao Song had never expected Shi Lei to react so quickly. His kick missed and he was. .h.i.t in the chest. Even though Shi Lei had barely used ten percent of his strength, Xiao Song felt as if he’d been struck by Thor’s hammer, his enormous body immediately losing its balance.
His right foot stepped on empty s.p.a.ce and his body fell backward. He ended up doing a split. A howl of agony tore itself from Xiao Song’s throat.
He was already thirty years old. Even when he was young, he couldn’t do a split. Doing one at this age made him feel as if his crotch had been torn apart. With the sound of ripping pants, Xiao Song fell to the floor and rolled around in pain.
Police B was dumbfounded and instinctively tried to smack Shi Lei. Shi Lei reached out, easily grabbed his wrist, and pushed him away. Police B couldn’t stop himself and smashed into the wall. Suddenly, golden stars appeared in front of his eyes and his nose felt as if someone had punched it viciously. Blood gushed out. His brain buzzed and his body felt weak.
Shi Lei looked at the two officers and shook his head. They were overestimating themselves. Their combat ability was so bad that it was probably difficult for them to even catch a thief.
No one expected it to end up like this. And although the two officers weren’t too heavily injured, they wouldn’t be able to recover enough to fight again in some time.
Shi Lei walked to the side, pulled out a chair, and sat down confidently.
The people outside the office heard the noise, but no one took it seriously. Although these sounds weren’t common occurrences, no one imagined that Shi Lei would be capable enough to beat up the two officers. They all thought that he was being disobedient and consequently taught a lesson.
More than ten solid minutes pa.s.sed before two of them shakily stood up. One grimaced in pain while covering his crotch and the other covered his nose, although it had already stopped bleeding.
They looked at Shi Lei in terror. They’d never expected him to be such an incredible character. The two of them slowly backed toward to the door, pulled it open, and dashed outside as if they’d seen a ghost, yelling, “Someone! Someone! This brat attacked us!” They didn’t care about keeping up appearances anymore. The two were still clear-headed and knew that Shi Lei wasn’t someone they could handle, hoping instead that more people could control him.
At the yelling, everyone rushed to see what was going on. Even Chief Feng walked out of his office and stood at the top of the stairs. “Why are you all yelling about?!” he asked imposingly.
Xiao Song cried and ran to foot of the stairs, his crotch burning like fire. “Chief Feng,” he gasped, “that brat attacked us and Lao(1) Sun and I were both beaten up!”
Chief Feng was flabbergasted. “He’s this arrogant in a police station? What use are you two? Even a brat is able to beat you up like this!” he yelled angrily. At this moment, Chief Feng saw Lao Sun, whose face was stained with blood. But he knew that it only looked horrifying and was actually not too severe.
Chief Feng led the way and at least seven to eight people followed him into the office. Seeing Shi Lei sitting calmly on a chair, Chief Feng seethed. “How dare you attack a police officer?! Are you trying to rebel?! Someone, cuff him!” As the leader, even if his position was still quite low, it was impossible for him to do it himself, but all the others who had followed him in surrounded Shi Lei.
Shi Lei stayed calm. “Looks like you’re the cause of those two’s bad habits. This truly fits the saying that ‘if the higher beam isn’t straight, then the lower beam will also be crooked.’ They used violence on me without distinguishing between the right and the wrong. Fine! Let’s if you have the ability to handcuff me today!”
Four policemen approached him. Shi Lei stood up calmly and kicked the chair.
It immediately shattered and the parts flew all over the place, some toward the police. They tried to avoid it in panic, some colliding with the table, some crashing into each other and falling down.
But just with that, everyone there, including Chief Feng, knew that it wasn’t Xiao Song and Lao Sun’s fault for being useless. Breaking the chair with one kick…this brat has practiced martial arts before!
Although they didn’t have any substantial injuries, everyone was afraid and didn’t dare approach him.
Shi Lei looked at them calmly in the midst of the chaos and thought: Why aren’t they here yet?
Just as the thought came to mind, he heard people shouting outside. “Chief Feng, Chief Feng, Chief(2) Zhou is here!”
Chief Feng stared blankly for a moment and thought that there would be no better chance to step down from this confrontation. He quickly pointed at Shi Lei and said, “Control him. I’ll go greet Chief Zhou! If a judicial authority is a.s.saulted by him, then no one can be saved!” With that said, he turned around and walked away. The others all exchanged glances and settled on guarding Shi Lei inside a semicircle, since no one dared touch him.
Run Zhou, First People’s Hospital.
A few luxurious cars worth over a million dollars each all drove in from different directions. The people inside the hospital watched in astonishment as these cars, instead of going to the parking lot, blocked the hospital’s front door.
The people who jumped out from the cars clearly knew one other, since they greeted each other and walked into the hospital together. They grabbed a pa.s.sing doctor and asked, “Where’s the operating room?”
The doctor was astonished and hurriedly pointed in the direction of the room. He then looked at the luxurious cars that almost blocked the entrance of the hospital and thought: Are these people coming to look for trouble? He quickly took out his phone and called the dean of the hospital.
The group of youngsters rushed in the direction the doctor had pointed and quickly found the operating room. A man around twenty years old saw a nurse who was quickly walking past them with her head lowered and blocked her way.
Beaming widely, the he reached out toward the nurse’s chest. She backed away in fear, but the person only pinched the name tag on her shirt. “Your name is Li Yan?” he asked.
Lao: friendly way to address someone older
