Red Date, Longan and Wolfberry Tea

Jian Dan did not sleep well last night and woke up at 4 a.m..

After washing up, she went downstairs. When she saw Uncle Zhang, she asked, “Uncle Zhang, has Uncle not returned?”

“Yes! Young Madam, Young Master often worked overtime and didn’t come home in the past.” Uncle Zhang said.

“Isn’t it bad for his health to work all night like this?” Jian Dan said.

“How about this, Uncle Zhang? Get the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I’ll deliver it to him. He has to eat breakfast after working all night.”

Breakfast was ready at 5 a.m..

Jian Dan put the red date, longan, and wolfberry tea she made into a thermos flask. After she had her breakfast, she went to Chu Liyuan’s office…

Because it was very early, there were not many cars on the road. They arrived at the company very quickly.

Jian Dan asked Uncle Zhang to go back first. She would go straight to work later.

After saying goodbye to Uncle Zhang, Jian Dan entered the building. Because of what happened last night, the security guards knew her and did not stop her. They greeted her and let Jian Dan in.

Jian Dan took the elevator to the 33rd floor, but she did not go to Chu Liyuan’s office. Instead, she paced back and forth in the corridor… until… “Are you here to look for Mr. Chu?” Li Jing appeared out of nowhere and saw her.

Why was she here again so early in the morning? And why wasn’t she going in? Why was she standing in the corridor instead?

When Jian Dan saw that it was Li Jing, she said, “I’m looking for you.”

“Looking for me?” Li Jing was puzzled.

This young lady was looking for him instead of Mr. Chu? If Mr. Chu found out, wouldn’t he skin him alive?

“Yes! I want to ask you for help with something.” Jian Dan looked at Li Jing and said slowly.

Li Jing was Chu Liyuan’s special a.s.sistant. He was with him every day, so it was best to leave some things to him.

“Tell me.”

So she had a request? Why didn’t she tell Mr. Chu? Instead, she wanted to tell him?

“Help me pa.s.s this breakfast to Uncle. You must watch him finish it. Also, this is the red date, longan, and wolfberry tea I made. It’s good for his health. Let him drink some. Also… he often stays up late to work overtime. Please remind him to eat on time,” Jian Dan said as he handed the stuff to Li Jing.

She could not take care of him at all times, so she could only ask him for help.

“That’s it?”

No wonder she didn’t tell Mr. Chu. It turned out that she wanted him to help keep an eye on Mr. Chu’s meals.

He did not expect this young lady to be so attentive despite her young age. She was very caring.

No wonder she was able to win Mr. Chu’s heart.

“Okay! Sorry to trouble you. I’ll take my leave first,” Jian Dan said before leaving.

“Aren’t you going to go in and tell Mr. Chu?” Li Jing asked.

This young lady was leaving after delivering breakfast and giving instructions?

“I won’t go in. I don’t want to disturb his work.” After that, Jian Dan left, but kept turning her head back every few steps.

She was quite sensible!

After Jian Dan left, Li Jing entered Chu Liyuan’s office with the things that Jian Dan had given him. Chu Liyuan was reading the doc.u.ments seriously, so he did not notice that Li Jing was holding something in his hand. “Li Jing, pour me a cup of coffee.”

After working all night, he urgently needed a cup of coffee to replenish his energy.

Li Jing poured a cup of red dates, longan, and wolfberry tea and placed it beside Chu Liyuan’s hand. Chu Liyuan picked it up and took a sip. He frowned. “This isn’t coffee. What is this?” Chu Liyuan looked up at Li Jing and asked.

“This is red date, longan, and wolfberry tea. Your young lady delivered it early in the morning. She said it was good for your health and wanted you to finish it all.” He placed the thermos flask on Chu Liyuan’s table. “There’s also breakfast!” He pointed at the breakfast on the other side.

Jian Jian? She was here?

Chu Liyuan had a faint smile on his face, as if the fatigue from the entire night had been instantly swept away. “Where is she?”

“She said that she was afraid of disturbing your work, so she pa.s.sed me the things and left.

“But she reminded me that I must watch you finish the breakfast with my own eyes,” Li Jing said with a hint of envy.

Chu Liyuan got up and went to the couch. He took a look at the breakfast that Jian Dan had brought. There was a Post-it note on it: “Uncle, no matter how busy you are with work, you have to eat on time! Work is very important, but your health is more important. I heard that red date tea is very good for your health. You have to drink it all! ^. ^”

“PS: I’ve also prepared breakfast for Li Jing. It’s too tiring to work overtime. You guys eat together!”

“Come, let’s have breakfast together!” Chu Liyuan called Li Jing over to eat together.
