“What are you thinking about?” “Getting married!”

When adults encountered such a thing, they would usually go their separate ways after that and pretend they do not know each other if they were to meet again. It was an unspoken rule.

“Get in the car!” Chu Liyuan said in an authoritative voice that sounded like an order.

“There’s no need. I’ll take a cab,” Jian Dan rejected.

“Get in! You won’t be able to get a cab here!”

When Jian Dan heard this, she looked around and realized that there was no one here, let alone a car…

Jian Dan had no choice but to get into Chu Liyuan’s car…

“Sorry to trouble you!” Jian Dan said shyly.

After Jian Dan got into the car, Chu Liyuan stepped on the accelerator and drove away…

Jian Dan sat in the front pa.s.senger seat cautiously and kept looking out of the window. Along the way… although Chu Liyuan did not speak, his eyes would occasionally glance at the woman beside him.

“Stop the car!” Jian Dan suddenly said.

There were many couples going in and out of the marriage registration office. Jian Dan should have been among them today.

Chu Liyuan stepped on the brakes and stopped the car. He looked at the woman beside him and realized that her gaze was fixed on the marriage registration office by the roadside.

She was still young, but she was staring at the marriage registration office in a daze. This did not make sense.

“What are you thinking about?” Chu Liyuan looked at Jian Dan—who was staring blankly at the marriage registration office—and asked.

“Getting married!” Jian Dan blurted subconsciously.

What did she just say? “Getting married?”

Jian Dan realized that she was a little inappropriate, so she turned around and looked in the direction of the driver’s seat. She met Chu Liyuan’s brown eyes, and her heart beat wildly…

His eyes were clearly so beautiful, but why did they give off an inexplicable sense of oppression? It was as if they could see through one’s heart. Nothing could escape these eyes.

Chu Liyuan paused for a moment and got out of the car. He opened the door of the pa.s.senger seat and said, “Get out!”

What was going on? Was he going to throw her out of the car because her words had angered him?

Jian Dan was still in a daze when Chu Liyuan pulled her out of the car.

Was he complaining that she was too slow, so he could not help but do it himself??
