The One I've Loved 48 Long Time No See

I never thought that I would meet him again especially like this. I thought that my father chose a guy whom I've never met in my life .

The last time I saw him was on that day , the day when he was punched by Austin after that Jake never appeared in front of me . I wish I didn't know him in the first place .

He got up from his seat to greet me and gave me a flower which I took it from him since I had no other choice .

I'm happy that you still remember my name , he said .

Gave him a half smile hesitatingly instead of replying him in words . I would've surely forgotten his name if I didn't write his name in my diary . I know nothing about him other than his name.

I took my seat and looked around , the restaurant was empty , only we both were seated there .

Firstly I want to apologize for the thing that happened when we were in school , he said which grabbed my attention .

I still don't know what was written on that letter . I was listening to him attentively and waiting for him to tell what was written in that letter but he was interrupted by the waiter .

What would you like to order sir ? , the waiter asked .

What would you like to have ?, Jake asked me after he gave me the menu .

I turned the pages and chose randomly.

Béchamel pasta , I said to the waiter and pa.s.sed the menu to Jake for him to choose his food .

He took it from me and gave it back to the waiter and said , two Béchamel pasta .

For some reason I felt awkward . When he ordered the same dish .

I started eating after the dish was severed .

You became more beautiful than you were before , he said .

His compliment made me choke .

Thankyou , I said after drinking water .

I never thought I would get a chance to confess you , I loved you in twelfth cla.s.s at that time and I feel happy that I finally got a chance to tell you now , he said .

I had mini heart attack after listening to his words .

To be honest I liked you when we were in school , after that I was busy with my studies and then life just went on .

I felt that he indirectly told me that he liked me only in school and not after that because he was busy with his life .

I gave a nod and looked into my plate because I had no words . I didn't know how was I supposed to react to his sudden confession .

Thankyou for coming and meeting me , he continued to talk , I felt that it would be better if I tell him my reason to meet him today without any delay .

I hope you understand what I'm trying to say , I'm not ready to get married , I finally said.

His smile slowly faded .

Was this the reason why you came to meet me ?, he asked me .

Yes , I said .

There was moment of silence between us .

Can I know the reason ? , he asked me politely .

The thing is I like a person , I said .

No ..... I don't know , I replied .

No , I shook my head .

Can't you try dating with me ? , he asked me .

What are you trying to say ,tell it clearly , I said .

Just like you want the person you like to give a chance to prove your love , I want you to give me a chance to prove my love , he said .

I don't want to , I said curtly .

You don't have to do anything , just let me allow to try from my side. he said.

No matter what you do , I might not be able to accept you and I don't want to hurt you , I said .

Let's see , what happens , he said . There was a confidence in his eyes which made worry .

I understood that he won't listen to my words and hence I had to agree with him .

Do what you want , I said and got up from my seat to leave .

Let me drop you to your house , he said .

No , I brought my car , thankyou , I replied and payed for the food we had .

You don't have to pay , he tried to stop me .

No , I want to pay , I said and payed .

I knew I was being kinda rude to him even though he was being polite but then I couldn't stay silent and agree with him . I felt that if I stay here for a second I might loose my temper and I didn't want that to happen .

I seriously don't understand his intentions , when I told him that I like another guy why can't he step back . What am I supposed to do now , I thought .

I'll see you next Tuesday , he said when I was leaving .

I turned back and gave a faint smile but he had a bright smile on his face .

I had a severe headache by the time I reached home .

I received a message , it was from an unknown number .

" Let's meet on Tuesday "

I ignored the message , and went to sleep .

The very next day while I was having my breakfast .

So , do you like him ? , he asked me .

No , I said .

But why ? , he questioned me to give him reasons for rejecting him .

Because I didn't like him and that is the main reason and dad you told that you won't force me so please .....

After that he didn't ask me anything .

Days pa.s.sed and I was busy preparing for my fashion show . Its Tuesday already and the show starts by evening .

Rachel was very excited for my show till yesterday but she couldn't come to attend my show because her mother , aunt Clara fell sick and was hospitalized .

She called me yesterday and she continuously apologized me. I felt bad but I understood her situation .

None of my family members were free to attend my first show . They were busy with their own work .

I was depressed thinking that none of people I wanted to come are not coming but the person whom I don't want to come is coming to watch my show . It's not like I hate him , I'm just afraid that I might hurt his feelings unknowingly and I can't let that happen . I'm afraid that he might have hopes for me .

Everybody were busy , they were running here and there , the place was a total mess .

The president is coming ? , are you sure ? is he coming here ? , I heard someone talking as I was walking .

President ? , I thought and I didn't bother about it much .

The show started sharp at nine in the evening . The models who were dressed in the clothing which I created , walked the catwalk . The clothes were obviously of ASA . I mean they are of Sanchez , Sanchez is also known by the name ASA . They were other designers just like me whose designs are being shown to the people through the models . The theme is summer spring . This fashion show is conducted by Sanchez to show various designs made by the designers in their company to the people . After the models , it was the designer's turn to walk . I was super nervous as it is my first time . I could here people giving a round of applause but I wasn't looking at anyone . I just walked straight and bowed , I didn't even look at the people who seated in front of me .

After the show everybody congratulated me .

I was packing my things to leave before Jake could find me .

Long time no see !!!

I heard a voice which came from behind , it was a man's voice , his voice made me froze for a second . It was the voice which I've been longing to listen . The voice which I could never forget in my life time .
