I am going to marry you 1T/N Note
small / 小 / xiao
(white / 白 / bai)
bunny / 兔 / tu
Small (sometimes white) rabbit is used a lot both as the FL's name as well as a describtion in the narrative. It's confusing but I will use Xiao Tu for fluidity when she is being addressed as such by other people and small (white) bunny interchangeably.
It was the summer of mid-July and the sky was clear filled with dazzling ray of sunshine. The air was filled with the sweet smell of ice cream and watermelon.
The three-year-old Xiao Tu, after experiencing her first move, obediently took her mother's hand to visit their neighbors with her.
Actually, their new neighbor and Xiao Tu's mother knew each other. The white bunny's mother was called Zhou Ling, and their new neighbor was called Zhou Wei. The two people had a good relationship since high school due to their family names being the same. This made other people think they were sisters.
At this moment, the white bunny looked at her mother and Zhou auntie chatting pa.s.sionately and with some boredom, sat on the sofa in her neighbor's house. She looked at the bananas, apples, and fruits hands, thinking about which one she should eat first.
However, before she could decide, she heard a thudding sound upstairs followed by one of something falling on the floor.
The people sitting downstairs felt the sofa shake a few times.
Aunt Zhou's facial expression blanked and then smiled a little awkwardly: "looks like YanYan has woken up from his nap."
Just as she had finished spoken, a handsome young boy in a white shirt appeared from the stairs. He held his hand on his forehead, the other hand holding the handrail of the stairs, and grudgingly asked: “Mom… How could you put the drawing board near my bed again?”
“Ah… Hehehe… Sorry… I forgot, It won't happen again.” Aunt Zhou smiled apologetically toward the boy.
“Oh… we have guests ?” The boy slowly descended down the stage, looking as refreshing and elegant as a green lotus leaf when he walked. He looked about ten years old with pale cheeks and face as delicate as a jade. His pair of inky eyes seemed to twinkle with stars and his long curly lashes gently fluttered. His lips was pale pink and was accompanied by a gentle smile.
Outside, the sun shone on him, and he looked as if he had been coated with a halo of light.
He's… so beautiful…
The little white rabbit stared at him in a daze, thinking that she had never seen such a beautiful person.
“YanYan, come over so I can introduce you.” Zhou Ayi smiled and waved toward the young man. When he came over, she pointed to the white rabbit and said “This is your younger sister, Xiao Tu, and this is your aunt. She also has the surname Zhou, my maiden surname.”
“Auntie.” The teenager smiled politely toward the mother of the white bunny, and then looked up and down at the white rabbit.
“This is my son, Cheng Zhiyan.” Zhou Ayi placed her hand on the shoulder of Cheng Zhiyan and smiled while introducing them.
Orange juice… salt…? ? ?
(T/N: he's name is p.r.o.nounced the same as orange juice salt but written differently)
The bunny's eyes were filled with question marks. Is orange juice filled with salt tasty?
“Xiao Tu, greet your elder brother h.e.l.lo.” The rabbit's mother patted her daughter's head and whispered.
“Elder brother h.e.l.lo!!” The little rabbit was very obedient and smiled brilliantly towards Cheng Zhiyan, her pair of clear big eyes creased as she smiled.
Cheng Zhiyan stared blankly for a while, then the corner of his mouth slightly curved revealing a gentle smile toward the rabbit.
It was but for a moment, the little rabbit felt that she saw numerous dazzling flowers bloom in an instant.
