I finally opened my eyes and stared at the new me that was reflected back at me in the vanity mirror. My hair was brown with silver running underneath it which, when it caught the light correctly, shone with multiple colors. My eyes were glowing blue with silver undertones. My wings were folded up behind me with some grey feathers woven within them. I looked stronger than I ever had, and I looked like me.
I stood up in shaky legs before walking towards the mirror. I reached my hand out and placed it on the girl who stared back at me, yet I didn't feel the fear I had the first time, all I felt was happy. Warm.
A scream echoed through my room and I turned to the face of my nurse maid, her eyes were wide and horrified at the girl she saw. She turned to run from me before I spoke.
"Don't leave. Stay here," I said and she nodded before walking to the bed and setting herself down. I felt her unease with me, yet I sensed something within her that called me. Something that I recognized easily. "You're not an angel, are you?"
Her stunned face answered my question and I nodded. "Young miss, I-"
"There's no need to explain, Lakina, I already know what he's doing to our kind," I said, placing one of my hands on hers. I sent waved of calm to her and she smiled brightly at me before horror replaced it.
"He'll hurt you if he finds out you got your demon half back, young miss. I have to protect you, for you are the true queen," she said, her head bowing down.
"True queen of what, Lakina?" I asked, my head tilting as I stared at her. A low chuckle escaped her.
"Your mother, Grace, was the only child of Lucifer, dear," she started, pausing for me to connect the dots. Lucifer was the king of h.e.l.l, a fallen archangel, a demon. "You are his heir, Rose, no one else knows that but Grace and I."

Lakina had made me look like I always had within the first few hours of me being awake. My hair was its normal brown and my eyes still had the silver, but it was harder to notice right away. My wings were hidden under a glamour, making it harder for anyone to see, touch, or sense them unless I let them.
"Rosie?" a light voice beckoned me into the parlor. I moved inside to see Angel sitting on the window seat that overlooked the kingdom. The room was bright reds with browns thrown in. There was a fireplace in the far corner with three arm chairs placed before it. There was a bookshelf that was placed next to the window seat.
"Hi, Angel," I said and felt her collide into me. Her body was racked with sons as she clawed at me desperately. I sank to the floor with her and held her close to me. She pulled backwards and reached up to me, touching my face. I leaned into her touch and she laughed through her tears, pulling me back into her. A flash started before my eyes and I smiled.
Angel, my sister. My best friend. The girl I fought with all my being to protect when she was beaten. The girl who stood up for me when I was bullied. A girl I would never forget again.
"I'm okay, Angel. I promise, just look," I said, causing her to pull back suddenly and really look at me.
"Do you... do you remember me?" She asked, and I remembered what Lakina had told me about the palace walls.
"Of course, you're my sister, how could I forget that," I said, tapping my ears. She seemed to understand what I was trying to tell her easily.
u003ciu003eSo you do remember? u003c/iu003eu003cspanu003eI heard within my mind. Angel could share thought through a mind link, of course. How could I have never realized it?u003c/spanu003eu003ciu003eu003c/iu003e
u003cspanu003eu003ciu003eOf course I do. His bulls.h.i.t magic doesn't block everything entirely. u003c/iu003eu003cspanu003eI answered back. She smiled and winked at me. u003ciu003eWe're half and half, Angel. Both of my halfs are joined together. u003c/iu003eu003c/spanu003eu003ciu003eu003c/iu003eu003c/spanu003e
Her eyes widened at my admission. I noticed that another person had entered the room with us. She was another girl who seemed highly familiar to me, yet I couldn't even recognize her from my "death" scene. Her hair was sapphire colored, and her eyes were green with some red woven within them. Her eyes were on me, and she seemed to be studying me.
"Who are you?" I asked and the girl seemed to jump back in surprise at me asking her that.
"Lizzie!" I heard a familiar voice call and I felt myself relax and Week walked into the room. "Lizzie, what are you doing?" he said as he noticed me in the room.
"I wanted to see Rose," she said, and I pushed my surprise down into the depths of my soul and stared at her.
u003ciu003eShould we tell them, Rose, or do you want me to keep it a secret from them all? u003c/iu003eu003cspanu003eAngel sent into my mind. I shook my head no and she knew what I had meant.u003c/spanu003eu003ciu003eu003c/iu003e
u003cspanu003e"h.e.l.lo, Princess Rosalina. I'm Elizabeth, Week's twin sister. It's a pleasure to meet you," the mysterious girl said and smiled at me, yet it felt frightening to me. Some part of me wanted to run from her, yet I couldn't place what part of me wanted that.u003c/spanu003e
I stood up and walked to shake her hand, to which Elizabeth widened her eyes. Some childlike part of me curled up into the corner of my mind at her touch. I heard a growl ring within the room and I turned, my gaze surprised at the realization of where the sound came from. Week stared at his sister with a look that could kill her.
"Enough of that for today, Lizzie. The princess has a date she needs to get to," he said, malice laced within his words.
"I hope none of the other boys had it, because there's only six left," Angel said, her voice humorous.
"d.a.m.n, how long was I out," I said, laughter invading my voice. I looked at Week again and his face held mixed emotions that I was able to easily sense from him. One was confusion, another was surprise, the final was admiration, for who that was meant for was unknown.
