Reborn In Harry Potter 14 14 `Guests'

While Ron was trying to figure out how to develop his new talent which he had aptly named, Magic Detection, a few months pa.s.sed. But Ron didn't abandon his practice of studying Runes, Potions and even trying out a few new spells every now and then. He always made sure that he could cast a spell both with and without his Ring as he never wanted to become dependent on a object. `Incendio!' `Aguamenti!' Ron was currently in the shed practising his spellcasting ability but if anyone were to walk into the shed at this moment, they would be gobsmacked at the sight!! In front of Ron was a ball of fire and a ball of water, one second they were spherical and in another the ball of fire turned into a bird and the water ball turned into a snake, which both started to fight!!! The whole scene lasted for a minute but if ever witnessed by someone, would be something they would remember for the rest of their lives!!

``Huff! Huff! Huf!!'' after a whole minute of simultaneously casting spells of opposite elements, Ron was dead tired but the Runic Objects on his body and his recently discovered talent, Magic Detection, showed him how his body drew in the surrounding magic to heal his body and even enhance it a little. `Hehe! This is such an awesome way of training!! It doesn't matter if the fatigue is from physical or magical strain, my body just starts to absorb magic and relieving my fatigue. And with my Runic Objects! Hehe!' just as Ron was about to get into his inner monologue and start thinking wildly into the future, he heard his mother, ``Ron!! Come back into the house, we have, um, we have some guests here!!'' hearing his mother, Ron looked outside and saw that it was almost night and neither the Lovegood's or the Diggory's had any recent plans to come over for dinner and quickly made his way into the house. After putting away his secret stash of Runic Object, Potions Ingredients and finished Potions!! `Ahhh! I can't wait until I can actually draw the `s.p.a.ce Opening' and the `s.p.a.ce Extension' Rune's!! I will never have to worry about storage again!!!'

While having those thoughts Ron made his way to the house and as soon as he entered the living area, he saw someone he didn't think he would meet for a long, long time!! ``h.e.l.lo! you must be Ron, nice to meet you!'' while looking at the man who was greeting him, Ron's eyes landed on the boy sitting next to him and boy was he thankful for his Occlumency Skills!! As that was the only thing that stopped him from showing his shock and surprise and allowed him to respond like a normal person, ``h.e.l.lo, nice to meet you too, Sir!''. Although he knew who the two people sitting in the Weasley living area were, he had to act like he didn't know who Harry Potter and Sirius Black were!! ``Oh! Where are my manners!? My name's Sirius and this is my G.o.dson, Harry.'' Looking at the `Boy who lived' shyly waving his hand to indicate his greeting, Ron knew that the Dursley's were worse than sc.u.m!!! `if not Sirius hasn't dealt out enough punishment for your pathetic existences, I myself will deliver you to the doors of Hades!!!' although Ron's Occlumency was quick in helping him control his emotions, he couldn't control a wisp of his Aura leaking out!! Luckily it was just a wisp and he was just three so all that was felt was a rush of cold air before it quickly went away.

With no one noticing his lapse in emotional control, Ron quickly gathered his thoughts and saw that Harry was a bit uncomfortable in the presence of adults and almost lost his cool again. `Those d.a.m.n Dursleys'!!' Ron was about to ask Harry to join him and his brothers to go play outside but Molly, the mother of seven children, was able to pick up the same clue as him, ``Charlie, why don't you and your brothers take Harry outside and show him around?'' looking at his mother's face, Ron knew that she had figured out what had happened but didn't know who had done it and he wasn't going to stay around to see his mother's anger!! Although he hadn't been hit by his parents in either one of his lives, he still knew to never make them angry. ``Come on Harry, let's show you the Weasley Quidditch Grounds!'' Charlie, Percy, Fred, George and Ron hurriedly brought out Harry, away from the storm they knew was going to hit their Living area in a minute. Harry was a bit scared but didn't say anything and just followed their directions but if the Weasley kids knew anything, it was how to make someone happy!!

``So Harry, what Quidditch team do you support?'' Charlie fired off the first question and the rest of them, even Ron, knew to not bombard the scared `kid' with questions and patiently waited for his answer. Harry, who had recently gotten out of a literal h.e.l.lhole and had been living with a G.o.dfather who had gotten out of an h.e.l.lhole himself and although Harry's situation had become much, much better. He was still traumatized from his experiences with the Dursley's!! Harry hadn't known why he had to pretend he was dumber than his cousin but he did it because he wanted food! He didn't know why he had to live inside a cupboard when there was a second bedroom in the house but he did it because he needed a place to sleep! He didn't know why his Uncle and Aunt hated him and called him names but he kept quiet because he knew he didn't have anywhere else to go! Until he met Sirius, he didn't know why he stayed with the Dursley's but now he did, he wanted to have someone that loved him for who he was! But even with Sirius, that wish wasn't fulfilled, he saw James in Harry and although Harry loved knowing more and more about his parents and the wonderful world they had been a part of, he still wanted someone to be interested in him and not the `freak' or the `James' in him!

And now there was someone interested in him and although he was scared, he knew he had to make take a step or he would never be able to get out of the dark place he was in, ``Um, I, I don't know what Quidditch Team's there are…..Would you, would you be able to tell me?!'' looking at Harry who was struggling to speak properly, not just Ron, all those present wanted to beat the sh*t out someone who would reduce a child to this state. Ron didn't know how the others kept their chill and the smiles on their faces, but he smiled as they showed him the renovated Quidditch Poles and introduced their favourite teams to him.
