Chapter 3 – Mythical Shaman: Creatures With Great Power

The sun is about to set when Rain regained consciousness and when he opened his eyes, he is in a familiar place (his room).

“Wait, isn’t this my room? How did I get here, am I dreaming?” Rain asked himself.

However a familiar voice replied. “No, you aren’t and what happened earlier really happened.”

Rain was shocked when he realized that this voice, coming from a girl is just nearby. When he looked towards her, he saw a beautiful girl reading some magazines.

“Wa..wait! Ha..how did you know about our house? And wha.. What happened to those thugs earlier? And…. A… Hmmpf!” Rain exclaimed.

Rain was unable to finish what he wanted to say since the girl covered his lips with her finger.

“Ugh, You ask a lot of questions. Before I explain what happened earlier, please allow me to introduce myself first. I am Selina Ocea.n.u.s and I am a mythical shaman called Siren. Actually, I am mostly humanlike but the Siren’s blood flow through my veins and therefore I possess the abilities of a Siren.” Selina said.

Selina Ocea.n.u.s, 15 years of age and as mentioned earlier she is a Siren, a mythical creature. She is kind, smart, but moody. However, she is very trustworthy.

Her build is slender, and quite tall for a girl at 5’4” in height. Her hair is orangey to reddish in color. She has fair skin, is quite pretty, and most of all, she has a promising and plump breast size.

(TN: The author I think has a breast fetish. Well, we’re free to fantasize whatever we wish for as long as were not doing something bad. LOL.)

AN: Sirens are Cla.s.s B Mythological Creatures. Their form is half-human, half-fish. Since they have the ability to manipulate water, Sirens are strong when at or near water sources. Their voices are mysterious and anyone who hears it will be under their control.

Rain still doesn’t understand what Selina told him. He thought that maybe she is just making fun of him.

“Enough with the jokes and tell me now what really happened.” Rain said.

“Huuh.. You know, I’m telling you the truth. I am a Siren, a mythical shaman and those guys who were chasing me earlier are Satyrs. Listen carefully, this place is different from the other places you have been to before. I know you Ate* knows that there are different creatures living in this place too. If you have read the news, this place is quite infamous because the government is unable to control this area because of the dangerous creatures living here. This place is called the “Den of Evil”.” Selina replied.
(TN: *Ate = Elder Sister)

“The “Den of Evil”? Wa..wait! Isn’t this the place where they abduct Humans on nearby towns to eat them, and also believed to have so many devils? The Den of Evil huh.. Oh, but why are you re.. reading my p.o.r.n Magazine??” Rain said.

“Hahahaha. Boys really are…” Selina said

“And besides, I don’t really care about that so-called “Den of Evil” because I am fearless. And this place isn’t as bad as it sounds since there are humans living here and there are houses, schools, and communities too. But, the plants and animals here are somewhat different. Well, I still don’t believe yet in all those satyr and siren whatever stuff.” Rain replied

“Hmmm.. you’re right, but there are only a few humans here. Around 30% of the inhabitants here are humans while the rest are various mythical shaman and that’s what we are called.” Selina said

“Mythical Shaman? So, you were not fooling around? But wait, you said earlier that Ate* knows what creatures are living here. But how did you know I have an elder sister?” Rain asked. (TN: Ate* = Elder Sister)

“Your Ate? I met her when when we arrived here in your house.” Selina replied

Rain was dumbfounded when he heard those words and began thinking how did he safely come home in the first place when he doesn’t even remember what happened.

“Oh yeah.. How did we get here? I can’t really remember what happened after you sang.” Rain asked

“It was your fault. I told you to cover your ears but you didn’t follow me so you were also affected by my powers. Listen carefully, only a few of us Sirens are left because other races are killing us. It is because of our abilities, in our voices that we can manipulate our adversaries, especially humans.” Selina replied

“So it was you who made those Satyrs fight each other?” Rain asked

“Ahem! Yes, indeed. And I also commanded you to guide me into your house. Hehehehe” Selina replied

“Yiiiiiii, your ability is quite scary. Even the most powerful can be under your control when you sing.. Scary, so.. so.. so scary!” Rain said

“Hahaha! But if you think about it, it is easy to fight us Sirens. Just cover your ears and you are safe; so it is risky for us to fight an enemy who knows our weakness.” Selina said

“Well, you’re right. But then again, there is a way around it. Just think of a method that will make them be unable to cover their ears or something.” Rain replied

“That’s what I did earlier. I went to that narrow alley so that they can’t escape my powers. However, we cannot control all mythical shamans even if they hear us singing.” Selina said

“Really, so some mythical shamans are immune from the powers of a Siren? I bet those guys are really strong.” Rain said

“Phoenix, Dragon, Werewolf, Vampire and other Cla.s.s “S” Mythical Shamans are immune. But like us Sirens, they are very rare and some races are extinct like the Phoenix, the strongest mythological creature.” Selina explained

Rain was lost in deep thought when heard that there are other and stronger mythological creatures than the Satyr he faced earlier.

“Can Ate and myself live here safely?” Rain asked anxiously

“Yes of course. Just stay away from trouble and you will be okay. It is only a baseless rumor by your government about that thing where we abduct humans on nearby towns to eat them. 30% of the humans here were actually from surrounding villages before and the government named this place the “Den of Evil” to discourage humans from going here. The real name of this place is “Travincial”.” Selina replied

“That’s good if that is the case and so Ate and I will stay here in the meantime. I was thinking if whether the co-workers of Ate are humans or shamans.” Rain said

“Don’t worry about it for now. There is no real conflict between Mythical Shamans and Humans here. But.. Except for you helping me earlier..” Selina said

“Don’t tell me that those Satyr will be back?” Rain asked

“Worry not. I ordered those guys to forget everything that happened.” Selina replied

“That’s a relief. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is..”

Rain was interrupted by Selina.

“Rain Estfalls, right?”

“Wait, how did you know about that?” Rain asked

“From you of course. Hahaha!” Selina replied

While the two of them were happily chatting, a loud voice interrupted them..

“Rain! Wake up now and accompany your new friend. It’s getting late!” Ate Rach.e.l.le said

Rain was still confused and still has no idea as to how he returned home, so that night was still a mystery to him.
